Scarred (Alternate Title: Kandie Land) is a Slasher Movie by Eddie Lyngyel.
Bo (Carl Ferrara) and Bart Flynn (George Sanders) are a pair of guys looking to make an adult slasher movie... and get laid by some hot chicks in the process. To that end, they convince a relative of theirs, Faye Ambler (Justine Greenwald) to give them four of her best girls, Asia (Alex Russo), Marley (Haley Kocinski), Brooke (Tina Grimm), and Jess (Jessica Lauschin) to them, while they head out to a remote place to do a photo shoot. Bo brings along Shawn (Shawn C. Phillips) as a photographer to help them out.
When they reach their destination, the locals inform them that the spot they've chosen to shoot at is located near the old Kandie farm. Apparently, 20 years ago, Mr. Kandie cut up his son Jonah's face, shot his wife, then Jonah, and then himself. Ever since, no one has dared set foot on the Kandie property. Some even believe that Jonah managed to survive his dad's attack, and has remained at his home, killing anyone who dares trespass on the property.
Soon enough, the group finds out they should have listened.
The film was released on September 5th, 2016.
Scarred contains examples of:
- Abusive Parent: Tiny's father. He firmly believes that Jonah Kandie is dead, and will beat his daughter every time she insists otherwise.
- Asshole Victim: Tiny's father, who would beat her every time she refused to say that Jonah was dead.
- Bait-and-Switch: In one scene, we see Tiny wandering around a house, and on her way out, is confronted by Jonah. There's a tense scene... and Tiny smiles, and Jonah picks her up and puts her on his shoulder.
- Blood from the Mouth: A couple of Jonah's victims have blood coming out of their mouths.
- Bring It: When there's a pause in Jonah's torture of Tiny's father, he dares Jonah to go on, even actually shouting out the words "Bring it!" to him.
- Cassandra Truth: No matter how many times she says it, Tiny's father utterly refuses to believe she's been talking to Jonah Kandie, whom he's completely convinced is dead.
- Chainsaw Good: Of course Jonah would have a chainsaw in his arsenal. He manages to get Shawn with it.
- Dwindling Party: At the start of the movie, there's Bo, Shawn, Asia, Brooke, Jess, and Marley. At the end, there's just Bo and Marley, and Marley isn't in the best of places.
- Eye Scream: When Jonah is murdering Asia, he heats up a blank of wood and uses it to burn her eyes out.
- Fingore: While torturing Tiny's father, Jonah cuts off one of his fingers.
- Flashback: The film will occasionally show the scene of Jonah Kandie's father cutting into his face, and shooting his wife and himself.
- Flipping the Bird: When Asia asks Jess to get her something, Jess gives her her middle finger.
- Harbinger of Impending Doom: The couple that the main group meets at the bar, who inform them of their destination's close proximity to the Kandie property.
- No Ending: The final scene is of everyone watching as Marley has fishing hooks ripped out of her face. Line from Tiny. Roll credits.
- One-Word Title: Scarred, of course. Though the same cannot be said for its other title, "Kandie Land".
- Slashed Throat: How Jonah kills his first on-screen victim.
- Tattooed Crook: If you see Jonah Kandie's arm, there's a tattoo on it.
