A 1980 American Heist Comedy directed by Robert Scheerer that follows three women (Susan Saint James, Jane Curtin, and Jessica Lange) plot to steal $1 million to beat inflation and high costs of housing.

The movie also stars Dabney Coleman, Richard Benjamin, Fred Willard, Eddie Albert, Cathryn Damon, Ronnie Schell, Michael Bell, Sybil Danning, Al Checco, Susan Tolsky, Art Metrano, and Garrett Morris.

It was released on July 11, 1980.

  • The Caper: The plot is three suburban housewives who, in order to beat inflation and subsidize their alimony checks, plot to steal $1 million from a large plastic ball which is displayed in a local shopping center.
  • Curtain Clothing: After Elaine does a striptease during a "money ball" scheme in which she and her friends try to raise up money to eliminate their enormous debt, she ends up wrapping herself up in a curtain.
  • I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine: Curtin and Morris previously worked together on Saturday Night Live.
  • Justified Criminal: The Ragtag Band of Misfits plan and carry out a robbery because, thanks to the recession (this was set in the late 1970s), all of them are in financial straits for various reasons.
  • Shoulders-Up Nudity: A naked Elaine is shown from the shoulders up after she performs an impromptu striptease to distract the crowd and security from the ongoing heist.
  • Tagline: "They're no angels".
