Cryptz is an Action Horror Comedy movie by Danny Draven.
Tymez Skwair (Choice Skinner) is a lazy slacker wannabe rapper who's mom is constantly on his case about getting a job and how he needs to stop sleeping until noon. However, he wants to focus more on distributing demos in hopes of making it big.
One day, while out with his two friends, Fuzzy Down (Rick Irvin) and Likrish (Dennis Waller), the three meet an attractive girl who invites them to her place of employment, a strip club called "Cryptz". Problem is, they can't seem to find much info on Cryptz, and their local underground contact, Truck (Andre McCoy) says that they shouldn't go, and in fact, should instead duct tape Tymez Skwair to the bed since the girl touched (marked) him.
However, the three decide not to, and come sundown, Tymez Skwair starts getting a serious pain that leads them to the location of Cryptz. At first, it seems like they're all having a great time there. Unfortunately, they soon discover that Cryptz is, in fact, staffed by vampires who lure people in to drink their blood.
Now, the three need to survive and find their way out.
The movie was released on May 5th, 2002.
Cryptz contains examples of:
- Black Cloak: One of the vampires is dressed in one.
- Blood from the Mouth: One of the vampires has what's supposed to be blood coming out of his mouth when he's killed.
- Fat Bastard: The bouncer at Cryptz is a big fat black guy.
- Location Title: Cryptz is the strip club where the protagonists find themselves.
- Locked in a Room: Likrish ends up being locked in one by the vampires, and tries to get out by hitting the door with bones he finds on the floor.
- Lured into a Trap: Tymez Zkwair, Fuzzy Down, and Likrish are lured to a strip club staffed by vampires who plan to feed on them.
- Neck Snap: How one of the female vampires ends up being killed.
