- doodlegirll is a great writer and she loves expanding on various points of the movie like a one-shot where Wilbur contemplates having erased himself from existence and a series of fics that expand on the friendship between Lewis and Wilbur and even eventually throw a third player: a teenaged girl named Kris who turns out to be Wilbur's daughter! All of her stories are well-written and very worth your time.
General Fics
Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.
The Future Child, Today

- Synopsis: Wilbur Robinson. Time traveler, or lunatic? Lewis leans toward the latter, but can't really decide.... An AU fic which starts off bright but holds some very deep dark secrets.
- Comments: Vecarek! AMAZINGLY well written, ASTOUNDINGLY in character, and keeps you guessing right to the end. Heck, if the author does a sequel, which has been suggested, I might give this fic its own trope page.
- Seconded. It will turn everything you know about the Meet the Robinson's world and flip it on its head. This is a must read for any fan of the movie. Be warned it is Darker and Edgier.

- Synopsis: Franny's convinced that Father and Son need bonding time. Her solution: Cornelius needs to involve his son in the inventing process. But knowing his son's penchant for chaos, the Father of the Future finds himself reluctant to do so.
- Comments: Based on the premise that Wilbur needs glasses, this story explores the relationships between Wilbur and both his parents, Cornelius' relationship with Franny and exactly how Wilbur views his father in comparison with Lewis. Also this story compares an apparent novelty: Wilbur being actually intelligent! Has a currently incomplete sequel: The Trouble with Goobs and 2 prequels: Happily Ever Never and Once Upon a Time Machine (the latter is currently incomplete) that focus on Cornelius and Franny's courtship but Focus can be a stand alone piece.

- Synopsis: Lewis lets Wilbur stay with him for the night after Wilbur fails another test at school. The night's conversation takes a turn for the worse when Wilbur tells Lewis he thinks his father is disappointed in him for everything.
- Comments: An interesting look at how Wilbur's interactions with Lewis compare to those with his father and what happens when they overlap. The discussion in the story feels real and Lewis' response is just plain Heartwarming Moments.
