- Comments: A 'for want of a nail' fic in which Misogi Kumagawa met Zenkichi Hitoyoshi at the hospital nursery instead of Medaka Kurokami. A different take on the Medaka Box story with Zenkichi and Kumagawa as the main characters, and several secondary characters from the manga as Ascended Extras.

- Synopsis: In the midst of her post-death metaphysical vacation, Ajimu Najimi has gotten the urge to tell the stories surrounding Kurokami Medaka and Hitoyoshi Zenkichi's main story. She begins with a tale of the first big set of enemies they came up against in Hakoniwa Academy; the Flask Plan's strongest guinea pigs, the 13 Party. This is the story of people who are powerful, gifted, lucky, superior... and unhappy.
- Comments: An origin story of sort for the members of the 13 Party featuring numerous jabs at the original manga from Ajimu. The story has references to other fanfics such as Perfect Minus x Ultimate Despair and uses OCs to demonstrate the members' abilities, so read at your own decision.

Those Who Love Monsters by gabriel blessing

- Synopsis: Those who fight monsters must look to themselves that they not become monsters, for when you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back into you. For Zenkichi, his response to monsters was always a little different.
- Comments: An AU crossover in which Zenkichi met Shinobu in middle school à la Kizumonogatari. The story picks up in the Kurokami Medaka's Successor Arc after Ajimu offers Zenkichi a spot in the Flask Plan. A clever fic that strikes a balance in tone between Medaka Box and Bakemonogatari, it combines interesting dialogue with well-paced action.
- Seconded. While it contains a bit of Info Dump, like many of gabriel blessing's works, it is a lot more integrated into the story. Also, even though there aren't a lot of fight scenes, the one that does appear manages to convey the tone of the story perfectly. This story also take Shiranui's Undying Loyalty to Zenkichi to a whole new level.
Perfect Minus x Ultimate Despair by Linkzeldi

- Synopsis: Kumagawa Misogi transfers to Hope’s Peak Academy with the intention of destroying it, only to find it’s in the middle of its destruction. There he meets Enoshima Junko the self proclaimed queen of despair, and as king of the minus from the moment they meet they begin a rivalry between their two differing definitions of despair.
- Comments: An AU crossover in which Kumagawa Misogi avoids transferring to Hakinowa by transferring to Hope's Peak first, and inadvertently prevents the destruction of the world. A fic that compares the similar characters between Dangan Ronpa and Medaka Box creating several interesting contrasts and foils, while at the same time balancing NisiOisiN style long and rambling dialogue sequences with interesting action to break it up.
