These are recommendations made by tropers for Fan Fics, all of which have been signed. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be Zapped. Nobody would back up the rec. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.

Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here. Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexual or away from show-canon territory. Some tropers just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

Reviews of fics are encouraged, but if you choose to write one, please make it substantive, and give specific details about what you liked / disliked in the fic. If you want to give a fic a thumbs-up without writing a full review, you can add your troper handle to the Recommendations Line. Please refrain from posting "Comments" or Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

Rise and Fall by (Phoenix Audubon)

• Synopsis: The Care Bears meet a lost family member named Phoenix Audubon who has the power of magic given to him by a literal Phoenix that raised him. After some hiccups in joining the family his powers are taken advantage of by No-Heart and he has to try and save them. While the story does sound cliche and Mary-Sueish the character is flawed and has his own problems. This is one of the oldest of the Fandom-Specific Plot stories of a new Care Bear joining the Care Bear Family and bringing his own abilities and emotional baggage to the Family as well, and debatably still one of the best. Has four sequels that are also complete: How Defender Bear Learned to Deal, Loaded for Bear, The Past Reliving, and Of the Same Coin. This series is collectively known as The Defender Bear Saga.

• Synopsis: This is the origin of Noble Heart and True Heart, or as they were known back then: Art and Vera, the evercubs. A horse foal and bear cub who never seem to grow up while living in a secret forest in Canada. So far the entire story is set before the events of the second Care Bears movie: A New Generation and is a very sweet and sometimes stressful story. There is no real villain so far with the main conflict being the struggles of growing up, or of never growing up, while being so very different from all of your peers.

If the cave is opened, all feelings on Earth will be permanently wiped out, and Care-a-Lot will be destroyed! Can Evangeline and the Care Bears keep the doll out of No Hearts' evil clutches?
