Fanfic / The Winchesters Three

Go To

The Purpura Convention was older than MACUSA; it stemmed from Great Britain, although the protocol associated with cases under the Convention had changed over time. Originally, when a magical infant was born to a prominent muggle (such as the royal family) alarms would go off at the ministry. In order to protect the Statute of Secrecy the child was smuggled away from the family and memories were altered to make it seem as though the mother had had a stillbirth. Stillbirths were common enough until modern times that nothing seemed terribly amiss to the muggles. The child would then be adopted into a pure-blood family and treated equally, if not better, than natural-born children. The child would eventually be told, of course, and granted a title in the Wizengamot and a generous stipend for life.

Part 1: Chapter 1 - Code Purple

The Winchesters Three is a crossover between Harry Potter and Supernatural, where between Dean and Sam, John and Mary Winchester had another child, Henry John Winchester. However, due to both coming from Hunter families, MACUSA fake the child's death after the birth, and James and Lily Potter adopt the child, renaming them Harry James Potter.

Fourteen years later, after the end of Harry's Fourth year at Hogwarts his godfather Sirius reveals the truth to him and then sends Harry to spend the summer with his birth father and siblings.

The Winchesters Three contains examples of:

  • Adaptational Badass: Sam Winchester was already pretty badass, here he ends up becoming a wizard.
  • Adaptation Expansion: It's reveled in one chapter that Gabriel is responsible for the creation of wizards and witches, back in ancient Egypt.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: On the surface Millie Wilkinson-Fontaine, the mother of John Winchester and paternal grandmother of Dean, Harry/Henry, and Sam, seems like a sweet old lady, but is in fact a blood purist and social climber, who upon finding out one of her grandchildren is Harry Potter, she wants to use it to strengthen her families name.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Love, Fate and Prophecy ends with Harry dying while destroying the Alpha Dementor, and thus destroying all the dementors in the world. However, it ends with a CliffHanger, when Gabriel tells Harry he's bring back to life to help out his brothers again, which he jumps at the chance too.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: After reuniting with his brothers years later after the summer they first met, it eventually becomes apparent that Harry will go head first into helping people, with little regard to his own safety, and other people's feeling about it.
  • Crack Pairing: In Hogwarts and Purgatory Benny Lafitte and Sirius Black are in a relationship while in Purgatory.
  • Empathic Shapeshifter: One morning after a night of drinking, Harry found he could make a glamour of what he would have looked like if he had gotten to be kept by The Winchesters as a baby, and is able to change his face after that.
  • Invincible Hero: Harry turns out to be more powerful than most wizard or witches, if not THE most powerful.
  • Long-Lost Relative: Harry to John, Dean and Sam.
  • Papa Bear: As John Winchesters learns about Harry's life at Hogwarts and with the Dursley's, he becomes determined to keep the son who was taken from him from going back to England.
  • Relationship Revolving Door: Harry and Ginny's relationship is describes as such.
  • Romancing the Widow: Or in this case fiancé. Since after Harry's death, Sam and Ginny (who as she calls it, is treated like Harry's "almost widow") end up together for a short time while Sam is staying at Hogwarts.
  • There Are No Therapists: Averted. In the Wizarding world there are mind healers, Harry had seen one several times, and Sam ends up seeing one while at Hogwarts learning to master his magic.
