The Mapmakers is a multi-chapter Harry Potter fanfiction on written by Dizzy_Bird
.
The fanfiction follows the final years at Hogwarts of the Marauders (James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew) and their contemporaries as the first war against Voldemort looms on the horizon. The work was first published in April 2018.

The Mapmakers contains examples of:
- After-School Cleaning Duty: James' detention in 'The Bell of Merlin' involves cleaning the titular bell at the top of Gryffindor Tower after school. Shennanigans ensure.
- Alliterative Name: Bellatrix Black, Parvana Patil, Peter Pettigrew, Severus Snape, Poppy Pomfrey, and Minerva Mcgonagall.
- All Witches Have Cats: Mary and Marlene share a cat, Fletcher.
- Animorphism: Professor Mcgonagall, James, Sirius, and Peter are all animagi.
- Big, Screwed-Up Family: Between dabbling in the dark arts, having former house-elves' heads hung on the walls, and forcing a child to join the side of a mass-murderer, the Blacks are screwed up.
- Cultural Rebel: Despite being raised in a very purist, anti-muggle, Voldemort-leaning environment, Sirius takes Muggle Studies, flirts with muggles, and is a proud Gryffindor.
- The Medic: Madam Pomfrey is the matron of the Hospital Wing. Lily becomes this during her Healing apprenticeship.
- Muggle Born of Mages: Peregrine Flint's sister is a squib. Eventually she is sent to America for her own protection.
- Old Money: The Blacks are definitely this, being an old pureblood family, and their financial aid is highly desired by both sides of the war. The Potters also have shades of this, as do notable Slytherin families, such as the Mulcibers, the Averys, and the Malfoys.
- Parental Favouritism: Walburga and Orion Black definitely prefer Regulus to Sirius. When Regulus tries to back out of being an intent, this dynamic is suddenly flipped, and Sirius has long letters written to him from his mother, proclaiming her love.
- Scary Librarian: Madam Pince has a reputation for banning students from the library and being generally unpleasant.
- School Nurse: Madam Pomfrey at Hogwarts.
- Wham Line: The ending of Chapter 31
The dots labelled 'Lily Evans' and 'Regulus Black' were still in the dungeon corridor. Emerging from the wall, joining them, was a third, impossible dot. But its label was clear and unmistakable, and the Map never lied.
