The Kids Aren't Alright
is a crossover between Trollhunters and Transformers: Prime. In this AU, Jack, Miko, and Raf are all changelings, and when they stumble onto the Autobot/Decepticon conflict they have to find a way to keep the Janus Order from learning of the Cybertronians while keeping their own secrets.
- Adaptational Species Change: Jack, Miko, and Raf all go from humans to changelings here.
- Because You Were Nice to Me: The main reason that the kids decide to keep the Autobots secret from the Janus Order is that the Cybertronians split their forces to protect them from the Decepticons, and clearly actually care about them despite the kids supposedly being humans far weaker and shorter-lived than them.
- Blessed with Suck:
- Jack is a jaeger troll with Stalkling traits (namely wings) artificially grafted on. This means that in addition to human puberty, he has to deal with two kinds of troll puberty at once.
- Raf's troll form is a Krubera, but despite the strength that gives him, he hates how clumsy and large he is, especially since he can't use his tech very easily. It certainly doesn't help that the changeling process messed up the treatments to boost his resistance to light in troll form.
- Canon Welding: It's made clear that Gunmar was created by Dark Energon infecting a Heartstone.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Miko has four arms in troll form and is perhaps the most dangerous of the bunch.
- Winged Humanoid: Jack is a jaeger troll that was experimented on to give him Stalkling wings.
