Slasher: Copycat is a fanfic created by UPMan. It's seen as a Crossover between Slasher and the Scream movie... or rather, a retelling of the latter with references to the former sprinkled throughout.
It's plot follows a string of murders occurring in the town of Carlton City, with the murders being based on the M.O.s of various infamous serial killers. The killer here is the Copycat, an incredibly hot and sexy Cat Girl who is clearly obsessed with killers of the past.
The main protagonists of the story are Hector and Lucy Ross, twin siblings and true crime enthusiasts who happen to be the children of two famous police detectives. The murders appear to be connected to a past incident where they, along with a few friends, accidentally ran someone over and had to cover it up. Also involved are news reporter Amanda Wakefield, and police deputy Francis Crockett.

- Chekhov's Gun: The Ross twins made their own strong lock for their bedroom door. When the Copycat attacks them for the first time, they manage to use the lock to prevent her from getting into their room. That doesn't stop her from trying to kick down the door, but Lucy is able to block the door.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: The deaths can get pretty gruesome.
- Ruby has acid injected into her head, and has her head crushed with a rock while tying to fight back.
- Tony is choked to death with a belt while being raped by the Copycat, and is hung from a pipe in the basement with his wrists slit.
- Sam is tricked into getting handcuffed from behind, is strangled to death, and is stuffed into a sack hung from the catwalk.
- Julie is knocked out from behind, stuffed inside the trunk of a car, and strangled to death with a ligature.
- Keith is shot several times, with two of the bullets striking his left lung.
- Henry is axed several times by the Copycat, and barely holds onto his life only for his own brother to finish him off with one of his own.
- Sophie, one of the killers, is stabbed several times by William, beaten up by Lucy, then finally has a box TV dropped on her head.
- William, the other killer, is stabbed several times by Sophie, stabbed through the chest with an umbrella by Hector, and is finally shot dead by a still living Francis.
- Disguised in Drag: William is one of the killers, which meant he was frequently seen wearing the feminine-looking disguise.
- Double-Meaning Title: The Copycat's name has two meanings: Her disguise makes her look like a cat, and she's a Jack the Ripoff.
- Double Standard Rape: Female on Male: Averted. The Copycat's rape of Tony in the first chapter is played horrifically, especially when she starts choking him with a belt.
- Jack the Ripoff: The killer's M.O. is imitating the M.O.s of real world killers from the past.
- Leg Focus: The Copycat's legs get mentioned a lot in her appearances, often mentioning their gorgeousness.Her thighs were bare from the very top, revealing the smooth, softness that ran down to her knees, which looked tight and muscular, enhancing their gorgeousness, her shins were smooth, her quads were toned and gorgeous, and her calves were meaty, so meaty, that if she flexed her legs, they'd look like they were ready to rip apart and explode into a sea of gorgeousness and horny thoughts.
- Ms. Fanservice: The Copycat may be a killer, but she looks so hot with that outfit.
- Not His Sled: One scene in the final chapter imitates the scene from Scream revealing Billy Loomis as Ghostface. While it looks as though the same will be said with Henry, he is suddenly killed by the true mastermind: William!
- Script Fic: Some chapters were written using excerpts from the script for Scream (1996). One chapter was a rewrite of an excerpt from the Scary Movie script.
- Sexy Cat Person: The killer's cat outfit is really revealing.
- Two Dun It: The Copycat identity was shared by two people: William and Sophie. If you saw Scream before, this should be obvious.
- Wham Line: The final chapter has William give two of them.
- "We all go a little mad sometimes." (The line that reveals William as one killer)
- "Well, we got them sis... we got them..." (The line that reveals Sophie as the other killer)
