- Back from the Dead: Gabriel Agreste is revived by the Miraculous Ladybug charm.
- Face–Heel Turn: After Ladybug prioritizes stopping Simon over the life of his father, Adrien turns against her and joins Hawk Moth.
- Foreshadowing: Lampshaded when Simon wonders why the association of Gabriel with butterflies came to his mind.
- "Not So Different" Remark: Adrien's comparison of Ladybug and Hawk Moth, when he realizes both would use the Miraculous Ladybug cure to undo collateral damage without regard to the horrific memories left behind.
