Rather than a Nuckelavee causing major devastation and killing parents, Lie Ren believed his semblance caused a disaster that killed both the Lie clan and the Valkyries. It is, however, later revealed that Ren’s semblance did not go out of control and caused an improbable disaster, but rather was rather due to bandit raid, who were seeking to use the misfortune for less than legal purposes. The bandit tribe were the Branwens, and considering that Ren and Nora were just as young as Yang, the bandit leader was either Raven or her predecessor

- Though not outright stated, it is heavily implied that Neo and Ren are related to each other through the Lie clan. This is mostly due to Neo’s canon semblance matching the descriptions to the Lie Clan’s family semblance; the power to create ‘mirror clones’ and teleport with them.
- This is on top of a Lie clan tradition to pick and use a weapon that symbolizes bad luck; most commonly an umbrella due to it being bad luck to open one indoors. The physical traits shared between those of the Lie clan are their pink eyes (though normally 1 per member) and streaks of pink hair
