After their encounter with Zabuza and Haku, Sasuke decides to relax at a bath house. While trying to meditate Sasuke has a flashback of his mother and of the night of the massacre. Luckily, he is snapped out of it by Naruto. Embarrassed, Sasuke tries to leave but ends up slipping on rocks, resulting in Naruto having to help him out. They end up slipping together. Sasuke gets mad at Naruto, causing Naruto to leave the bath house, and the fanfic ends.
Shiruka yo
(lit. "I don't give a shit") was a Naruto oneshot dating back to 2001. It was the oldest fanfic in the Naruto section of FanFiction.Net before its removal.
Shiruka yo provides examples of:
- Adaptational Jerkass: Itachi tried to kill Sasuke during the Uchiha massacre, unlike in canon. This is because the exact events hadn't been clarified in canon yet.
- Adaptational Wimp: Sasuke is a bit more emotional and sensitive than in canon.
- Gratuitous Japanese: The fic contains a large amount of untranslated Japanese. This is lampshaded in the author's note.
- Men Don't Cry: In this case, ninja don't cry.
- Self-Harm: After having a panic attack caused by a flashback, Sasuke digs his fingers into his skin (just enough to hurt, not bleed) in order to keep from crying.
- Sibling Murder: It's alluded that Itachi tried to strangle Sasuke during the massacre.
- Slash Fic: It's a Naruto/Sasuke fanfic. The romance is kept to non-explict subtext.
- Title Drop: The title is short for "Shiruka yo... sonna koto"note , which is repeated several times.
