When one of her squad mates informs her that a teammate is overworking themselves, Stars and Stripes orders that teammate to go on mandatory vacation. She then learns that teammate is her. Tricked into going on a vacation, Cathleen decides to spend it in Japan, where she meets a certain green-haired single mother.

Tropes in this fic include:
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: While in canon Inko and Star and Stripe have never interacted before, in this story they end up getting together.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: While in canon Star and Stripe made her first appearance in chapter 328 of the manga, here she appears around a decade before the original series started.
- Adaptational Sexuality: Inko is presumably heterosexual in canon but is clearly bisexual here. Cathleen's canon sexuality is unknown but she's at least bisexual in this story.
- Ascended Extra: Cathleen Bate was an important but very minor character in canon who died five chapters after she was introduced. Here, she's one of the main characters.
- Exact Words: One of Cathleen's squad mate's tells her that another member is showing signs of stress and fatigue from overwork but seems reluctant to take time off. When she insists that whoever it is take a vacation, he reveals that he was talking about her. She's mildly annoyed but agrees to take a month off.
- Glorified Sperm Donor: Hisashi walked out on Inko right before she discovered she was pregnant, with Mitsuki even suspecting that he knew about the pregnancy before Inko and that was why he left.
- Married to the Job: Before taking her month off, Cathleen had never once used any of her vacation days.
- Shipper on Deck: Izuku very much wants his mother and Cathleen to get together. As of Chapter 8, he gets his wish via getting both to get engagement rings.
- Tele-Frag: Once Cathleen realizes she can teleport, Inko marks out a section of her office with tape to make sure Cathleen never teleports inside someone.
- Teleportation: Cathleen finds out she can do this with New Order in chapter 7 after Izuku asks her if she can, letting her go to Japan whenever she wants. Obviously this makes their relationship, and living together, much more functional.
