Imbibition (Or: How To Cope With The Dead God In Your Mirror) is a The Owl House AU story, revolving around Luz finding the Titan's blood in the Gravesfield graveyard as a child, which she ends up drinking. This results in... changes, most notably how the Titan's visage has replaced her reflection, which only she can see.

  • Assimilation Backfire: Amity has her Abomination absorb Luz's potions before they can activate by hitting the ground and breaking the containers. Luz later takes advantage of this by throwing a mixture of a fog potion and an ice potion at the ground so Amity has her Abomination stomp on it, covering it in ice, and when Amity pressurizes it to show off, the absorbed potions all activate at once and blow the Abomination apart.
  • Big Damn Heroes: When a preacher is trying to have Luz carted off to the Conformatorium simply for telling him to let go of her after he put her on the spot and it triggered some bad memories, Edric and Emira create an illusion of a fairy swarm so she can escape.
  • Blaming the Victim: In a flashback, we see that a pastor at the church the Nocedas went to blamed Luz for her father's sickness because Luz wanted to know why Manny wasn't getting better despite her prayers.
  • Cold Iron: Witches and Demons in this AU are vulnerable to certain metals, especially raw iron.
  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: Luz is horrified to realize how Willow and Gus have been conditioned to think of being branded with sigils as normal when they talk about it with her and Eda.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: When Amity tries to bind Luz with the Everlasting Oath, it fails, but Amity assumes that it was merely Edric and Emira messing with her rather than the truth, which is that the Oath requires more magic to bind someone the more magically powerful they are, and the Titan's Blood empowered Luz is a mystical powerhouse.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: When Amity takes her time having her Abomination destroy Luz's ice barrier instead of just going around it, Luz realizes that Amity is trying to show off for the Emperor's Coven, and that she can use that against her.
  • I Know Your True Name: Eda mentions that some spells require a subject's name to work, and "Skulley" pointedly refuses to share his name. Luz briefly gets the idea to try throwing random names at him until they find one that works, but Eda shoots it down for multiple reasons.
  • Invisible to Normals: Luz is the only one that can see the Titan, or "Skulley" as she calls him. Everyone else just sees her normal reflection.
  • Mirror Monster: After Luz drinks the vial of Titan's blood the Titan replaces her reflection, and only she can see him in any mirrored surface. She has to use her phone to be able to do things like check to make sure that she's got nothing in her teeth.
  • Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls: Luz is noted the first chapter to both read and write Azura fanfiction.
  • One-Man Army: Belos once wiped out a rebellious mining city by himself, creating a storm of iron particulates surrounding the city that remains to the present day.
  • Rouge Angles of Satin: The author of the Good Witch Azura books not only misspelled "brambles" as "bramblles", she left a Note to Self to check said spelling in a dictionary in the manuscript and it got published that way. The whole thing quickly became a meme in the Azura fandom.
  • The Shadow Knows: After Luz drinks the Titan's Blood, her shadow changes, becoming several shades darker than it should be, and slow to move when she does.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Luz can understand Palismen, even though she shouldn't be able to without bonding with them and/or being the one that carved them.
  • Stop Worshipping Me: Skulley is incredibly displeased and angry to learn that there's a religion worshiping "Lord Titan", to the point where it manages to melt the hand mirror Luz was using to communicate with it.
  • There Are No Therapists: Camila knows that she and Luz could both use a therapist after Manny's death, but she simply can't afford one.
  • What If?: The story diverges from canon several years before the start of the series, when Luz stumbles onto the old graveyard and finds the vial of Titan's blood, which she ends up drinking, causing several changes to her being, the most notable being that she sees the Titan's spirit instead of her reflection.
