- Does Not Know His Own Strength: Both Ochako and Izuku Midoriya end up being this. Due to living in isolation in a dangerous part of the world, Izuku sees his powers as weak or acceptable at best, however when high ranking members of the Adventurer's Guild find out about it, they tell him to take a test, having learned he doesn't know what the scale actually is. Ochako isn't too different, having spent much of her life in the country, and thus not entirely understanding just how powerful her Gravity Magic is due to a lack of people to compare to. Vice Guildmaster Shota Aizawa is absolutely annoyed at the two of them, noting that the latter's Gravity Magic is easily in the upper tiers once she trained it properly, and Izuku's unusual combination of THREE different magics (two of which he can't use properly yet) is enough to make him want to quit on the spot just from the sheer bullshit of it all.
- Our Liches Are Different: Li the Lich is this, as rather than being brought into being by consuming the souls of others, he instead consumes the undead and allows their souls to move on to the afterlife. His goals in relation to his undead state are also unusually benevolent, wanting to develop a means to undo the blight on his homeland and return it to life, something that is the exact opposite of what Izuku and his party expected. The fact that he's also a friendly lich and ultimately has no beef with anyone (except the vampires trying to bring about a blight on the world) makes him an unexpected comrade and ally.
