For every rising star that the shinobi world produces, a hundred other geniuses are chewed up and spit out. Seiko crawls out of that grinder, only to find that she still has the rest of her life to face head on.
Fallow Fields is a Naruto Self-Insert Fic where the main character finds that she's been reincarnated as the older sister of Kakashi Hatake. She tries to live her life as best as she can, but finds that nothing is ever easy.
Fallow Fields contains examples of:
- Eye Scream: After Seiko and Ensui work together to incapacitate Obito, the latter uses his technique remove Obito's Sharingan by ripping out his own eye.
- Handicapped Badass: Even though she's constant pain, has a partially paralyzed arm, and can't walk without crutches, Seiko can still put up a good fight, as demonstrated when she saves Might Duy from the Seven Swordsmen.
- In Spite of a Nail: Despite Seiko's presence, Sakumo still kills himself.
- Red Baron: Seiko get the moniker "The Shadow Fang" after helping Minato fight off Obito and seal away Kurama. The moniker is in reference to her combination with her sensei Ensui Nara, who himself gets the moniker "Black Spider Lily", as it's believed by the other villages that they fight as a duo.
- Spared by the Adaptation:
- Seiko is able to prevent Might Duy's death by joining the fight against the Seven Swordsmen before it's too late.
- Thanks to Seiko's presence Minato and Kushina survive the fight against Obito and Kurama.
