"Face The Vax" Provides Examples Of:
- Afraid of Needles: This is the whole plot, Everest runs away when Jake tries to take her and squirms and fusses. Marshall turns out to also be afraid. They agree to take the shots together.
- Ambiguous Situation: Jake isn't sure if Alex has a cold or the flu.
- Anything but That!: Everest says this almost word for word when she says "Please, please anything but a shot!"
- Big "NO!": Everest screams this when Jake drags her to the vet's office.
- Catch Your Death of Cold: Alex got his cold when he played in the snow too long.
- Congestion Speak: Alex pronounces words weird just as "I wadda keeb playig wid the guys" and "I'b nod sure."
- Face Your Fears: Marshall decides to face his fears and get his shot first to make Everest feel better.
- Fear Is Normal: Everest, who is deathly Afraid of Needles, does everything that she can to get out of having to get a flu shot. When Jake drags her to the vet's office, Marshall admits that he's a bit scared of shots too despite being an EMT, and Ryder says it's a very common and understandable phobia. Marshall offers to go with Everest to ease her nerves.
- Injection Plot: It focuses on Everest and the rest of the PAW Patrol members getting their shots.
- Oh, Crap!: Everest has these reaction when Jake reveals she has to get a shot.
- Sickness Equals Redness: Alex is noted to be red in the face when he's sick.
- Stopped Dead in Their Tracks: When Everest is romping in the snow, Jake approaches her to inform her that he's taking her to the vet. When he says it's to take her to get a flu shot, she immediately freezes in place.
