- Hope Spot: In Chapter 8 it looks like Danny might be able to get Wayne Industries so he can get out of Tim's body. And then they get kidnapped.
- "It" Is Dehumanizing: Damian notes at one point how the ghost hunters, Ras, and now Batman are referring to ghosts as "it". Personally, he disagrees, even if his view of ghosts is skewed a bit due to what Ras believed about them.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: By putting a ghost shield up around the Batcave, the Bat-family inadvertently causes Danny to get stuck possessing Tim in order to escape. Not to mention how attacking him and taking him captive to begin with makes him ill-inclined to trust them.
- Power Incontinence: For some reason, Danny is unable to remove himself from Tim's body like he normally can.
- Sharing a Body: When Danny overshadows Tim to escape from the Batcave, the latter, unusually, is conscious while Danny is controlling him.
- Something Only They Would Say: When convincing Dick that he and Tim are Sharing a Body, Danny relays from Tim the first meeting between the two at Haley's circus, among other details of their past.
- What the Hell, Hero?: In Chapter 8 Danny calls out Tim, and by extension the rest of the Bat-Family, for attacking him and putting him in a cage unprovoked.
