Traversal is a Troper-written fanfic following the journeys of original characters Dan, Amy, and Quinn as they move through parallel universes that are actually fictional worlds.

Traversal contains examples of:
- Headbutting Heroes: Edward and Quinn tend to lean toward this: Quinn sees Ed as a disrespectful midget who Quinn would hospitalize if given the chance, while Ed sees Quinn as a waste of his time.
- Inthe Hood: In Chapter 4, a mysterious hooded figure appears and tells Dan he's been watching him closely and that he knew Daniel's grandfather. Dan calls the hooded figure out on lying about all of it when he figured out the hooded figure not only didn't know what Dan's name was, but he also didn't know that Dan's grandfather has been dead for years.
- Shout-Out: Completely ignoring the fact that the fanfic takes place in all sorts of fictional worlds, there are other references, notably the fact that the mother of the child in Chapter 1 is singing Oliver's lullaby.
