     Blessings
  • Cliffhanger: The story ends before we see Belldandy's reaction to Keiichi's proposal.
  • Cruel to Be Kind: Megumi punches Keiichi when he says he'll go buy a kitten for Belldandy rather than a ring. After her rant at him, Keiichi admits to himself that he was going to say he'd buy a ring before chickening out at the last second. Her rant helps him find the resolve he needs to go get one.
  • Disappointed in You: Skuld realizes that if Keiichi got hurt on his climb, and Belldandy learns she was the one who caused him to go she would tell her this and never speak to her again. She dreads this more than any physical punishment or imprisonment.
  • Engagement Challenge: Deconstructed. Keiichi goes off to climb a mountain to get a chance to ask the Almighty for Belldandy's hand in marriage. When the Almighty talks to Keiichi, he points out that Keiichi thought it was easier to brave a dangerous mountain in winter than to simply ask Belldandy to marry him. Ultimately, the Almighty can only give his permission to propose to Belldandy, she's the only one who can truely say yes.
  • God Was My Copilot: The guide that Keiichi finds to take him up the mountain, Michael Briggs, is in fact the Almighty.
  • Meet the In-Laws: The plot of this is Keiichi trying to get in touch with the Almighty to ask for Belldandy's hand in marriage.
  • On One Condition: The one condition Keiichi's aunt gives for his inheritance is that he do something bold that he wouldn't do otherwise.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Upon Megumi returning without Keiichi and saying things are fine, Belldandy immediately picks up that she's lying and guesses Keiichi is in trouble. She's only stopped with Urd's reassurance.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: The story is kicked off when Keiichi's aunt Kimiko dies and leaves him a 1,000,000 yen inheritance. Given the request from the will to do something bold with it and his sister's prompting. Keiichi finally decides to get a ring and propose to Belldandy.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Megumi hits her limit when Keiichi initially says he'll buy a kitten for Belldandy, after he had complained almost all year about what he could do if he finally had some money.
  • Scaling the Summit: Keiichi does this due to Skuld's prank in order to talk with the Almighty.
  • Snipe Hunt: When Skuld hears Keiichi wants to talk with the Almighty, she tells him he has to go climb the tallest mountain he can find and call out to the Almighty eighteen times while spinning in a circle. As opposed to the actual method of his number being on speed dial on their home phone.
  • The Tape Knew You Would Say That: The will left by Keiichi's aunt correctly predicts Megumi teasing Keiichi after it mentions him doing something bold with his inheritance, and tells her to stop.

     Broken Bow
  • Broken Bird: Gwydion starts out this way. In one aspect literally, since his Angel is named Broken Bow and one of its wings is crippled beyond conventional healing, and that's not getting into his tragic backstory. He improves over the course of the story.
  • Career-Ending Injury: Gwydion's broken leg, coupled with his crippling pain, ended his career as a soldier. Coupled with the death of his most beloved student, it was enough to make him climb into a bottle until the story's beginning.
  • Expy: A hilarious in-universe example with the story written by Belldandy, which features characters who, medieval japan setting aside, resemble her and her friends, playing out the same story.
  • Sadistic Choice: Hild offers one to Urd, primarily For the Evulz. Escape now with a God whose betrayed her trust and she finds despicable, or leave him to her not-so-tender mercies and receive a permanent cure for her new paramours affliction. Though sorely tempted, Urd nobly saves Troubador from his much deserved fate.
  • Shout-Out: Several:
    • During a costume party, several characters are dressed up as individuals from popular franchises, including Skuld's hilarious Master Chief.
    • The bomb in Broken Bow is named 8UTT3R5, and responds to the name 'Butters' while have a very familiar speech pattern.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Skuld, in spades. She started out the series barely able to believe she HAD magic, by the end of the series she's inventing and casting combat magic on the fly, and she's demonstrated abilities to create and control sentient life, which only the ALMIGHTY should able to do.

     Shattered Skies
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted with the second Belldandy, who is niece to the character of the same name, named in her honor. They have never met, but the way the story is shaping up, an encounter with them will definitely be a juicy one to remember.
  • Shout-Out: Several:
    • Continuing the joke from the previous installment, the main computer of the insurgents base is 5H3LD0N, and proclaims that Skuld, whilst hacking him, is "in his spot."
    • When asked an amnesiac Keichii if he a God (not an unreasonable assumption in the world he's currently in) he proclaims that he is despite the danger of the situation, and later remarks he's positive that's what you should answer, if asked that question.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Skuld, in spades. She took another level in this sequel, where she's the head of the military.
