Die For Our Ship / Web Animation

Go To

  • Andy X Challenge: Flareon has this in spades. He must die in order to have Starmie x Delcatty. Fletchinder and Ninjask are also this for Swellow x Beautifly fans.
  • Brain Pop: There are lots and lots of Tim/Moby shippers on the internet who really hate Rita.
  • Bravest Warriors: Plum for several Chris/Beth shippers.
  • Cow of the Wild: If one had a nickel every time a Luna/Lupis shipper bashed Midnight, one would be one of the richest people alive.
  • Murder Drones: Many N/V shippers have a burning hatred of N/Uzi, claiming the latter's relationship is a familial one that makes shipping them with each other problematic (despite the show itself saying otherwise). They also frequently accuse Uzi of being a pick-me girl who stole N from V, and even blame her for V's assumed death in Episode 6.
  • RWBY:
    • Sun and Neptune's individual introductions had them very quickly flirting with Blake and Weiss respectively, with them being dates during the school ball. The duo very quickly drew the ire of Blake/Yang and Weiss/Ruby shippers for being canon threats to those fanon favorites that, thanks to the prequel trailers, predate the show itself. The Sun/Neptune pairing was born from these spats but has since become a popular pairing in its own right. Some of this ire was resolved after Weiss/Neptune was sunk in-universe in Volume 3, and Sun was Put on a Bus at the beginning of Volume 6. This was fully resolved after Volume 9 when Blake and Yang become an Official Couple.
    • Oscar's increasing interactions with Ruby since Volume 5 are not supported by the far more established Ruby/Weiss and Ruby/Jaune shippers. This became particularly tense during Volume 7 when the pair are given increasingly meaningful interactions, such as being on the same wavelength about handling Ironwood. The relationship between the three shipping groups worsened after shippers interpreted CRWBY's confessed policy of making Oscar and Ruby's interactions "adorably awkward" through a shipping lens.
