Rumors that Adolf Hitler has been searching for occult tools to further his own purposes have run rampant, but only a handful of people can even fathom what would happen if he succeeded. Under a cloak of secrecy, the Circle of Magi works to keep the secrets of magic out of the hands of Mundanes, knowing how dangerous a little knowledge can be.
Raymond Crowe is a member of the Circle, working in Manhattan. A fellow Mage asks him to find her sister, believing she is caught up in something that could eventually drive her insane, and Crowe must unravel a scheme involving a dangerous potion that could bring disaster in the wrong hands.
