Premise of the Second (current) Season of the Roleplay

Despair Towers is a two season long killing game run by Tacocado on Discord. It was their first killing game concept, that lasts over two seasons. It was inspired by the events of Danganronpa series. The story revolves around the 16 player characters, along with a stuffed fox named Orokana, who serves as the host. More about the characters in the respective tab.

     Orokana
Host of the killing game.
  • Killer Robot: Orokana is an AI who seems enjoys pain and suffering of humans. He runs the game, after all.
  • Kill Him Already!: Orokana will often insist that the players commit murder, actually using variants of the "kill him already" line.
     Weasel
Ultimate Right Hand Man
  • Sidekick: As the ultimate Right Hand Man, Weasel serves as a sidekick to a drug lord outside of the game.

Danganronpa: Despair Towers contains examples of:

  • Big Labyrinthine Building: The game takes place in a massive building known as Hope Tower, where there seem to be hidden passages everywhere, that only Orokana can pass through and know about.
  • Deadly Game: The entire roleplay is based around a killing game.
  • Small, Secluded World: Despite the tower being rather large area, the players are confined to it.
  • Waking Up Elsewhere: The players awaken in the Main Hall of the tower, unsure of how they got there. See also below.
  • You Wake Up in a Room: The players wake up in the Main Hall, which they have never seen before. How did they get there?
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: The players have no recollection of meeting Orokana, or getting to the tower, or being knocked out.
