Aetherian Corona is a fantasy series created by Bowser The Second.

Set on the island kingdom of Aetheria, Serpens, son of Prince Animo, is kidnapped by the minions of an enigmatic villain called “The Arbiter”. This kick-starts a series of adventures and conflicts for Animo and his friends.

Volume one, titled The Aetherian Prince covers Animo's plight to save his kidnapped son, travelling across Aetheria to find him.

Volume two, Sunstalkers is about Lord Talos, a friend Animo made during volume one, asking Animo and his friends to help find an artefact called the “Mask of Endix”. However, Atropos, patriarch of a clan called the “Sunstalkers” has his sights set on the mask, as well as the Aetherian throne.

Volume three, The Undying Arbiter takes a darker turn for the series. The Arbiter himself appears at Animo's palace and attacks. The group escapes, and set out to discover the true identity of the Arbiter.

Another volume, titled Origins, covers the backstory Aetheria as a nation, as well as the group of royals who founded the kingdom 600 years before the main story's beginning.

More to come when I think of it.

This work will exhibit the following tropes:

  • Avenging the Villain: After Crux was overthrown, his son Endix tried to carry out his father's wishes against Ophiuchus. He failed, though his descendants, the Sunstalkers continue to campaign against the Aetherian royal family to this day.
  • All There in the Manual: Origins covers the backstories of Ophiuchus and Serpenter. As well as Penumbra's descent into madness and becoming the Arbiter.
  • Complete Monster: The Arbiter. He subjugated an entire island, hiding it away from the rest of the world just so he could feed of its citizens and stay alive for 600 years until the prophecy came true.
  • Light Is Not Good: The Sunstalker clan wield light magic and protect the Light Weaver's resting place until his scheduled resurrection.
  • Liquid Assets: The Arbiter absorbs soul energy, which is how he has survived for a millenia.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: Talos is the son of Atropos.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: The Light Weaver hid his spirit inside the Mask of Endix to ensure he survives in time for the prophecy to unfold.
  • Tyke Bomb: Talos was raised to be a vessel for The Light Weaver.
  • Tin Tyrant: The Arbiter wears a full suit of armor, in order to prevent himself from falling apart, as his rotting body is held together by magic.
