Thuso Mbedu (born 8 July 1991) is a South African actress of Zulu, Xhosa, and Sotho descent.
Mbedu began her career with soaps in her native South Africa. She got her big break with Is'Thunzi, which won her an International Emmy. Internationally, she became known with the Prime Video miniseries The Underground Railroad, an adaptation of the seminal novel of the same name. In 2022, Mbedu made her feature film debut with a co-starring role in the historical drama The Woman King.
