Robert Alda (born Alfonso Giuseppe Giovanni Roberto D'Abruzzo; February 26, 1914 – May 3, 1986) was an Italian-American actor, singer, and dancer best known for his roles in such films as Rhapsody in Blue (1945), The Beast with Five Fingers (1946), and Imitation of Life (1959).
He was married twice and had two children, Alan Alda and Antony Alda.
Alda died in 1986 at the age of 72 after a stroke.
