Creator / Miramar Productions

Miramar Productions was a video production company founded by Jan Nickman in 1985. It specialized in "Video Albums", which are visuals set to music.

The earlier albums were made entirely of Scenery Porn, with Natural States being in the American Pacific Northwest and Desert Vision being in the Sonora Desert. Natural States had some Early-Installment Weirdness with added effects like flying panels, forced symmetry and an Aspect Ratio Switch. None of which was present in later titles.

Later, they transitioned to making video albums set to computer animations from numerous different sources. Most famously The Mind's Eye series and Imaginaria.

In 1996, Unapix Entertainment purchased Miramar, and the people who worked on The Mind's Eye series and other Miramar CGI compilations would leave and join Odyssey Visual Design. Unapix would later go out of business in 2001.
