Kei Kusunoki is a Japanese mangaka who is known for many different series spanning a wide variety of themes and genres. From historical fantasy to modern drama she's penned stories to suit all kinds of tastes and has many well known and popular manga under belt. As a result she has seen much success both overseas and in her home country of Japan.

Notable Works Include:

  • Yagami-kun's Family Affairs (1986) - A romantic comedy about a high school boy and his relationship with his Absurdly Youthful Mother.
  • Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma (1989) - Historical fantasy about a young warrior hunting down his childhood friend in monster-filled feudal Japan.
  • Ogre Slayer (1992) - The story of a young man who hunts ogres.
  • Diabolo (2001) - Two teens are granted great power but at a terrible cost.
  • Girls Saurus (2002) - A modern tale of a boy who is afraid of girls.
  • 100 Ways of an Exorcist (2005) - Supernatural romantic comedy about a new transfer student and a girl who deals with spirits.
  • Bitter Virgin (2006) - A drama about a young woman who's afraid of men due to her traumatic past. Inspired by a tragedy in the author's own life.
  • Sengoku Nights (2006) - A story about a boy who finds out that he is the reincarnation of a dark figure from a bloody era of Japan's history.
