Joseph David Kucan, also credited Joe Kucan (born March 19, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is a video game developer, director and actor working with gaming companies. Chances are, you know him thanks to his role as Kane, the The Ageless enigmatic leader of the Brotherhood of Nod in the Command & Conquer: Tiberian Series, one of the few game series to use live action cutscenes.
Joe's portrayal of Kane remains one of the most iconic and praised in the gaming industry, even in a time when live-action cutscenes were practically gone from the gaming industry. It certainly helps that Joe has an intense theatrical experience, whereas most live-action cutscenes in video games were done with an Amateur Cast.
He portrayed Kane for over 25 uninterrupted years, with his last appearance being Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight in 2011. He reprised the role at last for Command & Conquer Remastered, a Video Game Remake with enhanced graphics and HD cutscenes.
In 2008 he was inserted in the Guinness World Records for being the longest-serving recurring actor in any game series.
