Joseph Mantello (born December 27, 1962) is an American actor and director. He's best known for his theatrical work, originating the role of Louis Ironson in Angels in America on Broadway, and directing productions of Wicked, Assassins, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Odd Couple and The Boys in the Band, also directing the 2020 film adaptation of the latter. On screen, he's best-known for his work with Ryan Murphy, for whom he appeared in the 2014 film The Normal Heart and the series Hollywood (2020), The Watcher and American Horror Story: NYC.
