Although she'd dabbled in professional acting as a teenager, her first big break came shortly after she graduated from college in 2012 when she was cast as the youngest ever correspondent on The Daily Show. She left the show in mid-2016 to pursue other projects, including her podcast 2 Dope Queens which she hosted with her friend Phoebe Robinson.
In 2017, she was cast as Professor Eulalie ("Lally") Hicks in the Fantastic Beasts film series note . She briefly appeared in a picture in the second film but had a greater role in the third film, which released in 2022.
