François Civil (born January 29, 1990 in Paris) is a French actor of French, Tahitian and Catalonian descent.
He first took up stage acting lessons in his teen years in order to impress a girl, but ended up loving it. He got his first acting gigs on television with a small part in the series Louis la Brocante and the recurring role of Dread in the Disney Channel France series Trop la classe! from 2006 to 2010.
The one-two punch that got him critically noticed and started his streak of main roles were the roles of Racine in 2011's Nos résistances (about La Résistance during World War II) and the son of Juliette Binoche's character in 2012's Elles. He made his English-language debut in Frank in 2014.
