Donald Waugh is a British actor best known for playing Hughes in Grange Hill.
His earliest roles were in Kelly's Heroes, Bugsy Malone, and Are You Being Served?. He was then cast in Grange Hill as Joseph Hughes, a role which he stayed with for the first three series.
After leaving Grange Hill, he appeared in Shock Treatment. Later on, he sunk all his money into a business deal that went wrong. This caused him to turn to alcohol. The alcohol didn't help, and Waugh ended up on the streets for several years.
He has since recovered financially and now dedicates his time to helping the homeless.
