"Come on, let's make fun of the bald guy! I'll be your Lightning Rod of Hate!"

Colin Andrew Mochrie (born November 30, 1957) is an award-winning Scottish-born Canadian actor, writer, producer, and improvisational comedian. He is best known for appearing on both the British and American versions of the improvisational TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

A graduate of the Studio 58 theatre school in Vancouver, Colin Mochrie got his start in the Vancouver TheatreSports League and later as a member of the improvisational comedy troupe The Second City in 1986, specifically its Toronto-based group. However, he made his breakthrough in 1989 when he successfully auditioned for the British version of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, remaining a mainstay of the cast until its conclusion in 1998. Shortly afterward, he joined the American version alongside his fellow comedian and co-star of the British version, Ryan Stiles. As before, he remained a regular of the show until it ended in 2006. Beginning in 2001, Mochrie became a recurring character in the Animutation music video genre.

Outside of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Colin Mochrie has appeared in dozens of television series and films, as well as theatrical shows and advertising campaigns. Throughout the 90s, he was well-known in Canada for appearing in such notable commercial campaigns as the Detergent Crusader for Sunlight and as the Snack Fairy for Nabisco. He has made countless guest appearances in TV shows, including The Red Green Show, Corner Gas, Murdoch Mysteries, Little Mosque on the Prairie, and This Hour Has 22 Minutes. He also hosted the Canadian version of Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? and voiced Two on Nelvana's Seven Little Monsters. He even hosted part of the 2007 White House Correspondents' Association dinner alongside one of his Whose Line Is It Anyway? costars, Brad Sherwood, who he has an ongoing two-man show with.

He is married to fellow Second City alumnus Debra McGrath, with whom he co-wrote, co-produced, and co-starred in the Canadian sitcoms Getting Along Famously and She's the Mayor, and they have a daughter Kinley.
