Carbunkle Cartoons was a Canadian animation studio founded by Bob Jaques and Kelly Armstrong in 1989.
Carbunkle is well known among the animation community as having some of the best animation outside of Disney since The Golden Age of Animation (like with TMS Entertainment, Richard Williams, Don Bluth, Studio Ghibli, Startoons and studios founded by Ex-TMS staff members like Disney Japan and Spectrum).
Bob Jaques is also credited as an animation director on Uncle Grandpa and SpongeBob SquarePants, as of the latter's tenth season premiere. Jaques later left the studio and is now a studio director at Mercury Filmworks.
Shows and films worked on by Carbunkle:
- The Baby Huey Show (season 1 only, with Big Star)

Tropes associated with Carbunkle:
- Animation Bump: Possibly one of the most popular cases of this tropes.
- Deranged Animation: In most of their works.
- What Could Have Been:
- Pat Ventura really wanted Carbunkle to animate his What-a-Cartoon! shorts, but they were too expensive, so he used Fil-Cartoons instead. Eventually, Carbunkle did animate the short "Tales of Worm Paranoia" later during its run.
- Disney also considered them to animate sequences in The Shnookums & Meat Funny Cartoon Show, but backed out for the same reason.
