Anthony Horowitz is an English novelist and television writer.His original novels include the Alex Rider series, The Power of Five series, the Diamond Brothers series, and Groosham Grange and its sequel, and The Devil and his Boy.He created the popular television series Foyle's War and the rather less popular Crime Traveller, which functioned as a Genre-Killer for UK Science Fiction television in the 1990s and early 2000s. Other series he has worked on include Robin of Sherwood, Poirot, Murder Most Horrid and Midsomer Murders.He has also written several novels in existing franchises. He wrote the first Sherlock Holmes novel to be endorsed by the Conan Doyle Estate; titled The House of Silk, it focuses on two different cases that are oddly linked. He followed up with a separate story based in the Holmes universe; Moriarty. He also wrote the James Bond novel Trigger Mortis and its (yet untitled) followup, making him the first author to write more than one Bond novel since Raymond Benson.Also scheduled to write the screenplay for the second The Adventures of Tintin movie.
