Justice League of America, also known as Justice League of America: Power and Glory, is a 2015 ongoing comic book series published by DC Comics as part of the DC You initiative. The series is written by Bryan Hitch, with art by Daniel Henriques. The series was published concurrently with Justice League (2011).

The series deals with the arrival of Rao, one of the gods of Krypton, and how the Justice League and the Earth reacts to his presence.

The first issue was released June 17, 2015. Running for ten issues, the series suffered several delays in between the releases of the final few issues of the comic series before the final issue was released November 30, 2016. The series would than end to make way for a relaunch as part of the DC Rebirth initiative.


Justice League of America (2015) provides examples of:

  • Brainwashed: Rao inserts protein markers into peoples DNA to make them happy and live the way he thinks they should.
  • Cult: Rao forms a religion on Earth based on worship of him.
  • God Guise: Rao is pretending to be a god in order to absorb the lifespans of his followers to achieve immortality.
  • Life Drinker: Rao sustains his immortality through absorbing parts of the lifespans of his followers.
  • Poisonous Person: Downplayed, as Rao exudes red sun radiation, which depowers and weakens Kryptonians, but he can regulate the amount he exudes to non-harmful amounts.
  • Short-Runners: The comic is only ten issues long.
  • There Is Another: The story reveals another survivor of Krypton, Rao.
