Warriors: Wind and Fire has a lot of adapted and changed characters. So much so that listing them in a convenient place feels necessary.

WindClan

Firepaw

The main protagonist of the fanfic, same as in canon. Stumbles upon WindClan's territory after escaping from his Twolegs, and joins the Clan fully as an apprentice.

• A Pet into the Wild: Same as in canon, but instead of ending up in ThunderClan, he joins WindClan.
• Character Development: Goes through plenty of this throughout the story to make him a much more rounded character.
• Foil: With his sister Princess. Both left the Twolegplace for the moors for different reasons: Firepaw because he was unhappy with his life, and Princess because she wanted to track down her brother herself. Their personalities also greatly contrast too, with Princess' more sassy and blunt demeanor contrasting Firepaw's more impulsive and nervous one.
• Greater Need Than Mine: Comes full force as an entire subplot in Fire and Ice. During leaf-bare, Firepaw insists that the Clan should be more fed than himself. Not only does he neglect eating, he also neglects visiting Barkface when he deduces that he has whitecough (as well as eventually greencough). He eventually passes out in a snowstorm, and is forced to get treatment.
• Power Trio: Himself, along with Onepaw and Greypaw.

Onepaw

One of the first cats Firepaw ends up befriending when he joins the Clan, and is arguably his closest friend.

• Establishing Character Moment: First appears offering to show the newly named Firepaw around WindClan and welcome him to Clan life.
• Power Trio: Himself, along with Firepaw and Greypaw.

Runningbrook

• Action Girl: Self explanatory.
• Ascended Extra: Had next to no screentime in the original canon, but is a primary character in this fanfic.

Webfoot

• Ascended Extra: Had next to no screentime in the original canon, but is a primary character in this fanfic.

Whitepaw

• Ascended Extra: Had next to no screentime in the original canon, but is a primary character in this fanfic.
• Happily Adopted: Mentioned multiple times that she was adopted by Morningflower as a kit.

Tallstar

The leader of WindClan and Firepaw's self-assigned mentor.

• Action Dad: Not only is he a skilled warrior and leader on his own, he also acts as a father figure for Firepaw.
• The Leader: Of WindClan.
• You Remind Me of X: Briefly mentions this to Firepaw at one point, and is most likely one of the reasons why he was immediately accepting of him joining the Clan.

ShadowClan

Brokenstar

• The Leader: Used to be the leader of ShadowClan in Into the Wild, before he was driven out.
• Would Hurt a Child: Brutally murders Silverpaw during the climax battle of Into the Wild.

Nightstar

• The Leader: Stepped up as ShadowClan's leader after Brokenstar was driven out.

RiverClan

Silverpaw

• We Hardly Knew Ye: Dies in the climax battle against ShadowClan in Into the Wild.

ThunderClan

Greypaw

• Demoted to Extra: Downplayed. Although ThunderClan loses most of its spotlight in this fic, Greypaw still shows up occasionally and is still good friends with Firepaw.
