The male host of Ultraman Ace. Hokuto was originally a bread delivery driver, but joined TAC shortly after the first appearance of the Choju. He is rather brash and buffoonish, but always a person of good intentions. He becomes Ultraman Ace with his co-host Minami by using one of the two Ultra Rings.

The female host of Ultraman Ace. Minami was a nurse who first encountered Hokuto when assisting him in rescuing children during a Choju attack. She joined TAC shortly afterwards and becomes Hokuto's closest friend and more sensible counterpart. She carries one of the two Ultra Rings needed to transform into Ultraman Ace.

Noriko Mikawa

The only other female member of TAC. She is the second-in-command to Captain Ryu, working on both the field and the communications bridge, as well as being the co-pilot for Ryu's plane.
- Bridge Bunnies: Although she's stated to be the second-in-command to Captain Ryu and sometimes joins him in the field, her usual job is this.
Ichiro Yamanaka

One of TAC's best officers, being able to wield their weaponry with pinpoint accuracy against Yapool's Choju and invading aliens.
- Crusading Widower: Or rather crusading fiancee. His just recently proposed to fiancee is killed by Metron Jr. In the following episode he goes against orders to attack the resting Metron.
- Dual Wielding: In early episodes, he seems to relish blasting with two guns.
Tsutomu Kono

A former police officer who joined TAC shortly after it was established. He also serves as the team's engineer.
Kozo Yoshimura

A TAC officer known in the group for his encyclopedic knowledge of extraterrestrial life.
Kaji Yoichi

Played by: Katsumi Nakaiyama
A high-ranking TAC scientist who appears to help the main crew from time to time. He is known as an experienced weapons designer and is quite good at collecting intelligence of Yapool and his Choju.
