The Player Avatar of the Classic Kirameki Saga.

[[OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent A teenager with average abilities]], who managed somehow to enter the rather high-ranked Private High School Kirameki. He did this mainly because he’s in love with his enstranged childhood friend Shiori Fujisaki, and sets himself on a quest of improving himself so Shiori will think higher of him and thus win her heart and get her confession under the famed [[WorldTree Legendary Tree]], said to grant eternal love to couples bonding on Graduation Day through the love confession of the girl.

The main character’s canon regarding his quest for love varies depending of the various games of the Classic Kirameki Saga: while the original ''Tokimeki Memorial'' game and its porting adaptations sets him with Shiori as main goal (but can change his mind and [[MultipleEndings go for another of the girls]] he meets during the course of the game), the Drama Series see him give up on her and [[SecondLove have his true love]] in Saki Nijino for the first one, Ayako Katagiri for the second one, and Miharu Tatebayashi ([[RoadCone if you decide not to go the Shiori route]]) in the third one.

His activities also vary depending of the games' canon: while they’re not set in the original game, the Drama Series see him as a Forward Striker in the Soccer Club, or a guitarist in the “Irodori” Band Club.

The Main Protagonist has [[HelloInsertNameHere no set name in all the games of the saga]], but most of the Drama [=CDs=] give him "Naoto Takami" (高見公人) as a CanonName.

The main heroine of the Classic Kirameki saga.

[[TheAce A talented, beautiful and sociable young girl]] who excels at both studies and sports, so much that’s she dubbed "the Superstar of Kirameki High" (and is as such the closest thing the ''Tokimeki Memorial'' series has for a CanonSue). There’s however a thing she’s clumsy at, and that’s love: she has very high standards and expects her ideal boy to be just as perfect as her, and her heart will always waver when the guy of her dreams (hopefully your Player Avatar) will slowly drill his way to her heart.

She’s the poster girl of the series, with at least a minimal presence even in the games she’s not the star ([[spoiler: to the point of managing to make a few [[TheCameo cameos outside the Classic Kirameki Saga!]]]]), and is the co-heroine (with [[EnsembleDarkhorse Miharu Tatebayashi]]) of the 3rd Drama Series, ''Tabidachi no Uta''. Believing that doing one’s best in everything is more important than winning, her ideal type are perseverant sportsmen, even though she’s not herself that athletic.

She’s the manager of either the Soccer Club or the Baseball Club, leading to a conflicting canon as to which of the two clubs she is in: the ''Drama Series'' games and the Radio and CD Dramas make her the manager of the Soccer Club, while ''Tokimeki no Houkago'' and ''[[spoiler: [[TheCameo Tokimeki Memorial 2 Substories: Leaping School Festival]]]]'' put her as the manager of the Baseball Club.

A classmate of the main protagonist. He accosts him on the first day of school, and they become instant friends. Just like the main protagonist, he’s on a quest for love, and has the tools to reach this end, as he’s the “info man” of the school: he can get the data from all the girls: phone number, blood type, size, hobbies, and even 3-sizes, as well as giving good date spots hints. He thus will help his friend by giving him this data and moral support.

Yoshio is deep down a good guy who cares for his friend (and this is especially shown in the Drama Series), but he’s very noisy, [[LargeHam over-the-top]], and prone to jump to conclusions, [[OnlySaneMan leading to give some headaches to the protagonist]]. However, being well-meaning and enthusiast, [[BunnyEarsLawyer he often gets away with this among the girls, who thinks he’s funny]], and is [[EasilyForgiven easily forgiven]] by the protagonist.

The main hero of the Habataki Saga, and basically the "perfect guy" of this series (i.e. the male counterpart of Shiori Fujisaki in the Kirameki Saga). In short, he's smart, athletic, popular, and good-looking (to the point that he works part-time as a model!). And like Shiori of the first game, this guy also demands high stats from the player. While he seems a bit snobbish at first impression, he warms up to the player once she gets to know him better. [[spoiler: He's actually the boy the player met in her childhood.]]

The artistic guy. Very handsome to the point of coming a little too close to being feminine, which extends to his fashion statement. He's also quite verbal and melodramatic in expressing his feelings.
