The Villains
Tails Doll
The Big Bad of the trilogy. A plushie doll in the likeness of Tails that was sealed in Another Dimension due to going rogue and murderous, but is still capable of tormenting the Blue Bur from within his prison.
- A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Rebelled against Eggman after developing sentience and demonic powers.
- Big Bad: The main source of villainy and terror in the trilogy.
- Master of Illusion: Although it's not explicitly stated, this is his most used power. In the first two games, he created absolute nightmarish worlds to torment Sonic with visions of the massacre he wanted to commit in Sonic's world against the hedgehog's friends, in a way that fooled not only Sonic but the player as well.
- Hypnotic Creature: Has brainwashed Sonic's illusion world counterpart to turn him into Sonic.exe, and Metal Sonic to obey him. It's unclear if (although it's highly likely) he did it with Meta Knuckles and Eggrobo as well.
Sonic.exe
The Dragon of the trilogy. Originally, part of Tails Doll's illusion world as Sonic's counterpart for Sonic to observe the carnage through, only to be killed and revived, completely under the doll's control.
- Decoy/Rogue Protagonist: We play with him in the first half of the first game, before he's murdered and brainwashed.
- Fallen Hero: From Sonic's illusion world counterpart to the real Sonic's Enemy Without.
