[[folder: Sheva Alomar]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Karen Dyer

->''"Don't worry. I may not be as big as you, but I can still hold my own!"''

Chris' partner during ''5'', with whom he develops a strong bond. She joined the BSAA to fight against biological weapons since her parents had been victims of experiments carried out in Africa with said weapons.
* ActionGirl: She can and will kick just as much ass as Chris does.
* BadassNormal: She's just a girl with a gun, she doesn't even have the experience fighting [=B.O.Ws=] that Chris does, and yet she doesn't back down for a second as she faces deformed psychopathic killers and horrible mutations.
* BilingualBonus: Her tattoo reads "Shujaa," which is Swahili for "Hero."
* TheChick: For her team.
--> '''Josh:''' Sheva became the little sister of the team.
* ColourCodedCharacters: [[WordOfGod Production notes]] state that it took the team a while before deciding on her signature color -- lavender.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Her parents and village worked for an Umbrella facility as menial laborers. When she was a child, Umbrella used the workers for experimentation; her parents died and she was taken in by her uncle, who lived in poverty with his seven children. Unable to feed herself and convinced her parents were still alive, she ran away, but almost died wandering the savanna. She was rescued by anti-government guerrilla fighters, who explained how Umbrella had destroyed her village and killed all the survivors when she was done, with the help of the government, so she joined with them to make Umbrella and the government pay. When she was a teenager, she found out that her "friends" were actually going to buy bio-weapons from Umbrella to overthrow the government, which was all they really cared about, so she helped sabotage the deal. For this, she ended up being taken to America and adopted, after which she eventually joined the BSAA and returned to her native country to continue her quest.
* FurBikini: One of her alternate costumes.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Even amongst the other player characters, Sheva stands out. She is one of the nicest characters in the series, especially if you build up her trust, established to be just as good as Chris, Jill, Leon, or Claire, and in the final boss fight, you can have her do one of the most badass things in the series and turn Wesker's chest into a scratching post.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:She was about to perform one, but Chris saved her from herself.]]
* HotterAndSexier: One of her alternate costumes is a sexier version of the Literature/LittleRedRidingHood
* KnifeNut: Sheva will straight-up shank a fool if given the opportunity, including [[spoiler:Wesker. While he's infected with Uroboros.]]
* TheLancer: For Chris.
--> '''Sheva:''' There's only so much one person can do. Even a superhero like you, Chris.
* MaleGaze: The first thing you're shown of her is pretty much her ''ass''. Lampshaded by ''WebVideo/{{Unskippable}}''.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Her "Clubbin'" alternate costume is visibly inspired by a similar outfit worn by Halle Berry in ''Film/{{Swordfish}}''.
* ShoutOut: One of her alternate costumes is a throwback to Hunnigan from ''4''.
* SexySecretary: One of her alternate costumes is of a SexySecretary with a BadassInANiceSuit vibe.
* StepfordSmiler: She outrightly defies this trope based on analysis. Despite her tragic background, she refuses to be a [[EmptyShell let down]], and instead keeps a [[ThePollyanna healthy and upbeat attitude]]. Most characters in her position are usually TheStoic, TheWoobie, etc. If you just met her and didn't know her, you would think her life was [[TastesLikeDiabetes sunshine and rainbows]].
* TrueCompanions: She's pretty much about this, either for Chris or for her team.
* UnwantedAssistance: InUniverse. She becomes this if you allow her to carry all the healing items while you prioritize [[InventoryManagementPuzzle yourself with weaponry]]. If you sustain so much as ''a scratch'' she'll chase after you and try to waste the best herb/spray items futilely fixing you up. [[Series/TheBennyHillShow Cue Benny Hill chase]].
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: It sounds like like she's trying to pull off an Afrikaans accent, but ends up sounding British.

[[folder: Josh Stone]]
->'''Voiced by:''' T.J. Storm

The captain of BSAA West Africa Branch and Sheva's mentor. He becomes Jill's partner in DLC, Desperate Escape.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Averted. [[spoiler:He survives the entirety of ''[=RE5=]'' -- in fact, he's the ''only'' BSAA West Africa teamster in the game who ''does'' survive the game, aside from Sheva.]]
* ChivalrousPervert: A minor example. He flirts with Jill for a brief moment after they first meet, but he keeps the relationship professional afterwards. His partner, Doug, teases Jill a bit more with his flirting, though he's likely just goofing around as a part of his personality.
* TheGoodCaptain: Of BSAA West Africa.
* LowerDeckEpisode: A DLC campaign ("Desperate Escape") in ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5'' allows you to play as him and Jill Valentine trying to escape from the Tricell headquarters.
* TheMentor: To Sheva.
* TallDarkAndHandsome: Hailing at 6'1".
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: His melee takedowns include elbow drops, German suplexes, and ''chokeslams''.

[[folder: Ozwell E. Spencer]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Adam D. Clarke

A British [[BlueBlood lord]] and one of the three founders along with Dr. James Marcus, and Edward Ashford of the Umbrella Corporation, is also the President of the Umbrella Corporation, who set in motion the events of the entire series in an attempt to make a new, superior race with himself ruling over it.
* AristocratsAreEvil: He's a Lord......his last name is perhaps a ShoutOut to the venerable Spencer family, of which Princess Diana was a member.
* BadBoss: In [[DownloadableContent "Lost in Nightmares"]] from ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5'', you can read diary entries of those who worked in Spencer's mansions. It seems he turned a lot of them into test subjects, and ultimately into monsters and zombies.
* CelebrityResemblance: His voice actor, who is a self-admitted ''Franchise/StarWars'' fan, based his voice on that of Ian [=McDiarmid=]'s role of Emperor Palpatine, with Spencer himself being modeled after the man.
* TheChessmaster: He's been running everything since well before the events of ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil0''.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Kills Marcus through Wesker and Birkin, betrays the latter for attempting to leave Umbrella, betrays George Trevor by locking him inside his mansion, and lastly betrays [[spoiler:Wesker by admitting he is his creation]].
%%* CorruptCorporateExecutive
* CutsceneBoss: After waiting numerous games to meet Ozwell E. Spencer in the flesh, [[spoiler:Wesker kills him in a cutscene. Although, fighting an 89 year old man on life support probably would not have been an epic boss battle, even with the potential for mutagenic viral upgrades.]]
* DarkLordOnLifeSupport: The years have clearly taken their toll. He was even the page image for a time. He's reduced to being confined to a wheelchair and life support system three years before ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5'' due to his old age. [[spoiler:He expects Alex Wesker to reverse this condition by engineering an Immortality virus, although Albert Wesker kills him to become the BigBad after Spencer reveals that Wesker was one of many {{Unwitting Pawn}}s for Umbrella known as "Wesker children" in a project done to create the perfect breed of humans.]]
* EvilCripple: He's in a wheelchair when Wesker finds him.
* EvilOldFolks: 89 [[spoiler:when he dies.]]
* AGodAmI: Or so he dreamed. "I was to become a god!"
* GreaterScopeVillain: He's TheManBehindTheMan to all of Umbrella, including [[AGodAmI Alexia]], [[DragonInChief Sergei]], [[MadScientist Birkin]], and the series' most recurring villain, [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Albert Wesker]]. Yet, he is rarely seen throughout the series and doesn't even interact with the protagonists.
* ImmortalitySeeker: [[spoiler: Had Alex Wesker work to create a virus that would render him immortal. Alex stabbed him in the back after looting his resources]].
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler:How Wesker kills him, using his bare hands.]]
* MadScientist: It goes overlooked, but he was part of the research team who originally studied and refined the Progenitor Virus.
* TheManBehindTheCurtain: He's behind all the bad stuff in the series, whether directly or indirectly, but he's little more than a pitiful old man, whining about how he was unable to achieve godhood.
* TheManBehindTheMan: To Sergei, who's his DragonInChief, Alexia, and Birkin (who he employs), and in an odd way, Wesker, who he created.
* MeaningfulName: He shares a last name with Herbert Spencer, the philosopher who conceived Social Darwinism.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: If Spencer didn't order Wesker and Birkin to assassinate Dr. Marcus, none of the events relating to Umbrella's downfall and afterwards would have happened.
* NonActionBigBad: Par excellence. All the evil that Umbrella inflicts can be laid at his feet, yet he never actually does anything on his own; he just gives orders from behind a cushy desk, far, far away from all the blood and tears.
* SmugSnake: Smart and a capable schemer, he's behind almost every bad thing in-series, but he waited too long to put his plan in motion, allowing Wesker to hijack it for himself.
* TheUnfought: [[spoiler:The heroes never even meet him alive. He's already been killed by the time Chris and Jill bust into his chamber.]]

[[folder: Excella Gionne]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Nina Fahren

->''"You're just not ready for me!"''

Excella is the CEO of [[MegaCorp TRICELL Inc]], Africa and one of the people responsible for the creation of the Uroboros Virus. She also shares Wesker's idea of WorldDomination and intends to be the [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen Queen]] of the new world with Wesker as her King.
* AbsoluteCleavage: See the image.
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: She was in love with Wesker of all people!
* ArmorPiercingSlap: Has the literal version in ''Mercenaries Reunion''. And yes, her slaps can make enemies' heads explode.
* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler:Infected with Uroboros by Wesker during the penultimate chapter. Considering the things she's done, no one is shedding any tears.]]
%%* TheBaroness
%%* BetterLivingThroughEvil
* BrainyBrunette: Evil Brainy Brunette.
* CombatStilettos: She keeps her high heels in Mercenaries Reunion.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: She is the CEO of TRICELL Inc, Africa and one of TRICELL's representatives in the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies, which gives her executive power over the B.S.A.A. Not only is Excella in charge of TRICELL's secret illegal bioweapon business, but she also [[MoleInCharge keeps watch over B.S.A.A. activities for Wesker or steers them away from illegal TRICELL operations]]. However, this fails to stop [[{{Determinator}} Chris']] search for Jill Valentine.
* DarkActionGirl: Though she doesn't fight in the actual game, on Mercenaries Reunion, she kicks ass with vicious elegance.
* TheDogBitesBack: [[spoiler: Accidental and post-mortem on her part. During an encounter with Chris and Sheva, Excella accidentally drops an attache case with syringes containing the serum [=PG67A=]/W inside. One of these syringes is later used by the two B.S.A.A. operatives to give Wesker an overdose shock. Given that Excella is dead because of Wesker by this time, this event gives her some form of poetic justice.]]
* TheDragon: To Wesker.
* EtTuBrute: [[spoiler:On the receiving end of this, though seeing this is [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Wesker]] we're talking about, it's really no surprise.]]
* EveryoneLooksSexierIfFrench: Sort of. She possesses a French Accent, but her last name is closer to that of Italian.
%%* EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench
%%* EvilutionaryBiologist
* FemmeFatale: {{Subverted}}. She has all it takes to be one fierce Femme Fatale -- beauty, intelligence, and cunning -- but [[spoiler:she is the one who falls for Wesker's [[TheCasanova masculine wiles]] and pays for it.]]
* HotScientist: She majored in genetic engineering.
%%* JigglePhysics
%%* MsFanservice
* OmnicidalManiac: Excella agrees with Wesker's plan in ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5'', which would include killing, at the least, ''billions'' of humans.
* RichBitch: The Gionne family owns a very successful European export-import business and one of Excella's grandmothers is of the Travis family, the original founders of TRICELL Inc. Rich, smart and beautiful, Excella looks down on almost everyone she meets.
* SayMyName: '''ALBEEEEEERRRT!!!'''
%%* SexyBacklessOutfit
* SheFu: Her Disco Spin move.
* StatuesqueStunner: 5'9".
* {{Stripperific}}: A backless mini-dress and pumps is not the appropriate attire for running around the African jungle or an oil rig.
* UnholyMatrimony: With Wesker, though they weren't indeed married to each other but in her head...
* WomanInWhite: Though it's not played for mystery or necessarily to show that she is evil.
* WomanOfWealthAndTaste: Her dress and shoes are both based on pieces by real life haute-couture designers. [[EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry Her jewels look just as expensive and chic]].

[[folder: Ricardo Irving]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Allan Groves

->''"Splendid timing! Youse two are just in time for the fireworks show! Boom!"''

Director of the oil facility headed by [[MegaCorp Tricell]] Africa, Irving helped found its B.O.W. research department, and subsequently became known as a "death dealer" on the black market for distributing the products Tricell developed to African bioterrorists. Chris and Sheva going to Africa to capture him is what kickstarts the events of ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5''.
* AlasPoorVillain: After Irving is finally defeated, Chris pities him as he dies painfully.
-->'''Chris''': "Poor bastard..."
* DefiantToTheEnd: Upon his death, he keeps laughing and mocking Chris and Sheva:
-->'''Irving''': "Dying's not so bad. But it doesn't change anything... '''you're still screwed!'''" (''cue EvilLaugh'')
* DiscOneFinalBoss: The first part of the game is all about chasing him, investigating him, and arresting him -- it's only upon his defeat that he lets it slip he was merely following orders from Tricell's CEO, Excella.
* {{Expy}}: Many fans compared his behavior to that of Salazar from ''Resident Evil 4''. Both are psychotic and over-the-top villains with heavy accents (Irving's Chicago accent in comparison to Salazar's hispanic) that transform into giant monsters by using a Dominant Plaga strain, while retaining their overall intelligence even after mutation.
%%* ItsAllAboutMe
* LargeHam: Especially once he goes OneWingedAngel.
--> '''Irving:''' I just had an EXTREME MAKOVAH!
* LastNameBasis: He is usually referred to by his last name.
* LastVillainStand: Irving's own BossBattle is his last ditch attempt to kill Chris and Sheva, since Wesker would [[YouHaveFailedMe kill him anyway for failing to do so]].
* OneWingedAngel: A gigantic sea-beast most comparable to [[KrakenAndLeviathan The Kraken]].
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Attempted this after failing to kill Chris and Sheva. It didn't work out for him.
* VillainousBreakdown: After being ordered to kill Chris and Sheva at any cost, Irving sent countless [[{{Mooks}} Majini]] and several B.O.W.s to do the job, only to see them all gradually cut down by the two B.S.A.A. operatives. Irving's frustration continued to grow until Chris and Sheva finally catch up to him, by which time he [[WhyWontYouDie complained about their ability to stay alive]]. Knowing that Wesker would [[YouHaveFailedMe kill him if he failed]], Irving decided that he had no choice but to infect himself with a Plaga in [[LastVillainStand one last attempt to kill his enemies]].
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: His accent sounds either [[BrooklynRage Brooklyn]] or [[{{Joisey}} New Jersey]].
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: By being forced to infect himself with a dominant-strain of Plaga.

[[folder: Alex Wesker]]
-->"You'll be pleased to hear that all experiments are running smoothly."

Mentioned by files in ''Lost in Nightmares'' DLC.

For the tropes pertaining to this character, and be warned '''there will be spoilers''', see [[spoiler:''Characters/ResidentEvilRevelations2'']].

[[folder: B.O.W.s]]
Though Majini make up the bulk of the enemies you face in this game, Tricell has a few artificially engineered monsters to face off against as well.

For the tropes pertaining to the Majini, see the "Las Plagas and Hosts" folder in ''Characters/ResidentEvil4''.

A genetically engineered hybrid of a giant bat and an insect, created by Tricell as a conventional B.O.W. Chris and Sheva fight two of these creatures, one prior to entering some caves, one within the ancient city of the Ndipaya tribe.

* AdvancingBossOfDoom: If you try to flee the second Popokarimu, it will chase you up the stairs, and you need to PressXToNotDie.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: You can only kill one of these things by shooting it in its head (less effective) or by going for the soft, fleshy underbelly of its insect-like abdomen. Bullets will just bounce off of its armored carapace otherwise.
* BewareMyStingerTail: They can bodyslam, sweep, pincer-bite and launch SuperSpit from their tail.
* GiantFlyer: A flying bat-bug thing the size of a large car.
* MixAndMatchCritters: Half bat, half insect, looking like a giant, deformed bat with a grub replacing its lower body.
* SuperSpit: They spray gouts of HollywoodAcid from their tail.

Three different mutants that Chris and Sheva encounter at different points of the game; Test Subject, Mkono and Aheri, but all are fundamentally identical where it matters. All are humans infected with the Uroboros virus, but unable to control themselves after the infection, resulting in them transforming into out-of-control mindless abominations.

* AttackItsWeakPoint: Those big vaguely glowing yellow-orange blobs are their "cores". Only by shooting them will you stand a chance of putting these things down.
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: Comparing Aheri to the ship you fight it on suggests it's about seventy feet tall, one of the biggest monsters in the entire series.
* BlobMonster: They have certain similarities to this. They can absorb flesh and use that to grow bigger and bigger, which is how Aheri managed to get so huge.
* BodyHorror: Phase one of Uroboros infection; you are eaten alive from the inside out by writhing, pulsating black worm-like shapes which knot together into once larger whole. It gets worse from there.
* KillItWithFire: The best way to get rid of an Uroboros is to burn it to pieces. You can instantly dispatch the Test Subject by trapping it in an incinerator, you can kill Mkono more easily with a flamethrower provided for just such a situation, and you can kill Aheri with a satellite laser.
* WasOnceAMan: Every Uroboros was originally a single human who was infected with a virus. You really, ''really'' can't tell anymore.
* WormThatWalks: Uroboros have this sort of look, seemingly being made of countless black worms all swarming together.

Common African household cockroaches accidentally exposed to Uroboros, the Reapers demonstrate that virus' extreme potential for deadly mutation, having transformed into killing machines.

* AttackItsWeakPoint: Literally; they grow back their limbs/head and their torso is armor-plated. Only attacking the swollen white organ-sacks sprouting from their shoulders and chest will kill them.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: Cockroaches mutated into a bipedal, man-sized format.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Of the "blade for a hand" variety. Each arm is serrated scythe-blade.
* CreepyCockroach: And that would be an {{Understatement}} for such a lethal creature.
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: It will take a ''lot'' of damage, but, if you continually blow off their head and arms, they will eventually die from the strain of growing them back. On the other hand, they can deliver this to you should they grab you.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: As said, these things used to be ''cockroaches''. You know, the creepy-crawly bugs that run away and hide when you flick the lights on? Now, they're some of the most lethal killing machines in the Resident Evil universe.
* GlassCannon: They actually can't take that much damage before dying... but, they will ''end you'' if you're not careful.
* HealingFactor: They can regenerate their head and arms, which is why you gotta aim for their organ sacks.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: They have four arms, all of them giant reaping sickle-claws.
* OneHitKill: Their primary attack, if they have all four limbs, is to grab you and them ''disembowel you''.
