* ArcherArchetype: After fully upgrading the S75 and completing the game once, Sheva can use a Longbow exclusive to her. The bow fires relatively fast and deals a lot of damage per arrow, [[DifficultButAwesome but there is no targeting laser or aiming reticle]]. Sheva also uses this bow with her Tribal costume in the Mercenaries game.

As per Averted Trope guidelines, instances where a trope does not occur, or is not a relevant fit, should not be added to a work page, unless in certain exceptional circumstances.

* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Averted. [[spoiler:He survives the entirety of ''RE5'' -- in fact, he's the ''only'' B.S.A.A. West Africa teammate in the game who ''does'' survive the game, aside from Sheva.]]

* RedShirt: Averted. [[spoiler:Despite being part of the game's resident RedshirtArmy, right down to being dressed exactly like them, he survives the entire game ''and'' gets PromotedToPlayable in the ''Desperate Escape'' DLC campaign.]]

* UnholyMatrimony: With Wesker, though they weren't indeed married that she wants to each other but in supplant as the "King of the New World" while she will rule as its "Queen". Unfortunately, Wesker just sees her head...as another pawn, and his comments later when fighting Chris and Sheva makes it very clear why this is a bad idea.
--> '''Wesker:''' ''"Let me clarify something for you, Chris. I don't think of myself as a king. No, I am a god! And even kings bow to gods!"''
