Duchy Ferguson

Rachel Ferguson

The Duke of Ferguson's daughter and fiancee of Prince Elliot formerly, and now she is Raymond's fiancee.
  • The Chessmaster: She always has the control of the situation, even if she hasn't received any tips from her spy company. She is very intelligent, and can nullify all of Elliot's tricks.
  • The Spymaster: Rachel has an enormous spy company. She has spies in all enemy houses, and the palace is not the exception. These spies mostly present themselves as servants and traders. The spying organization operates under the cover of the trading house The Black Cat.
  • Hyper-Competent Sidekick: The King and the Queen trust her to hold the nation because they consider none of his children are intelligent enough for the role.
  • I Am Not Pretty: George and the rest of Elliot's minions say that Rachel wasn't a flashy beauty, but that was true that she had a natural beauty.

George Ferguson

Rachel's brother and heir of Duke Ferguson.
  • Heir Club for Men: He is both younger and less intelligent than Rachel. The only reason why he is the heir is he's male.

Dan Ferguson

Father of Rachel and George, and husband of Iseria Ferguson. The Duke of Ferguson.
  • Selective Obliviousness: He prefers not to know Rachel's plans. He settles with doing his job and controlling the damage.
  • Like Father, Like Son: In the end of the story, he uses his own daughters tactics, forcing her to work for the kingdom while in prison, he, his wife and the King and the Queen are relaxing in a hotsprings resort.

Iseria Ferguson

Mother of Rachel and George, wife of Dan Ferguson and Duchess of Ferguson. She is so stressed out during the story due to the possible end of Rachel's plans, for example, the death of Elliot or a violent incident.

Rachel's Faction

Alexandra

She is the fiance of George Ferguson and has a strong friendship with Rachel.
  • Hyper-Competent Sidekick: She makes an incredible effort in hiding whats going on in the castle, making sure none of the foreign countries know what is going on

  • Marriage of Convenience: She is in a marriage of convenience but she really likes the idea of being part of Rachel's family. She treats George like a kid and thinks he is cute. That's one of the reasons she forgives Geroge, more or less, and only after a just punishment.

Martina

Sikes's fiancee. She is a knight, who usually works at the nation's borders. She really loves Sikes
  • Tsundere: She loves Sikes, but she is known for getting jealous and she is used to using physical violence when she thinks Sikes is talking or shows mild interest in a person, which Rachel uses to make it so Sikes is forced to leave.

Elliot's Faction

Elliot

Formerly Rachel's fiance. The first Prince of the kingdom and male lead of the story.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Throughout the story, he shows that is stupid by his actions alone. He isn't intelligent enough to realize he should be doing work for the kingsom, has no talent for politics in that he tends to aggravate everyone and is too arrogant to receive advice. The plan to break the engagement was made by George, which tells you he really couldn't think of a better plan. Everyone who knows him also knows that Elliot couldn't have thought what would happen when his parents refused him with legitimate explanations for why he couldn’t break up for love.
  • Jerkass: He has all the traits. The only reason he isn't a tyrant is because he doesnt’t actually have any legal or military power over the kingdom. In the final chapters, he tries to kill Rachel because he can't think of anything else. Everyone can agree that all his ideas to try to bully Rachel are poorly thought out.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Averted. Elliot's parents are good and intelligent. Apparently that happens in a lot of cases. Much of the new generation teens are more or less eccentric, but their parents are normal. Fortunately, to the rest of younger generation, the eccentricity is temporary— most adults know they will mature.
  • Did Not Think This Through: He wants to murder Rachel in the end of the story because he couldn't imagine a scenario where he failed in his plans against Rachel. Even if he could do that, he would have to defend a murder against a vulnerable girl who's family is the kingdoms biggest supporter, not only in front of his parents, but in front of all the nobles, and the second most powerful noble house. His minions, who are all more important people than he is,would have to be judged with him for as accomplices and Margaret too. So not only would he get him and his friends killed for something as stupid as he fell in love with a girl, but he would also cause civil war if he got his way,Nice Job Breaking It, Hero.
  • Royal Brat: More or Less. He acts constantly like a spoiled brat, using his position to obtain what he wants and never caring abour the consequences, bullying other people into going along with him . But his parents, his professors and the rest of the palace, tried to teach him how to at least think things through, without results.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica:What happens to him at the end his parents come home, strip him of all his titles, make his younger brother the new heir and force him into political exile at the ancestral estate where he won't be able to cause problems.

Margaret Poisson

The bastard daughter of the Baron Poisson. The hypothetical female lead.
  • Brainless Beauty: Completely. She is beautiful, but she is rather....airheaded. It is probably justified by her poor origin. But, in the end of the story, that will be fixed, by the Duchy Ferguson. It is insinuated that she only could stand out because all the boys are terrified by their more intelligent fiancees.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Apparently, she thought that the noble life is like what is told in a Fairy Tale, and she didn't think in the details or what that would be like in reality. When she was asked by the King and the Queen about the requirements of a prince, she only said beauty and a white horse. It's probably that if she became the princess, she only expected to be beautiful, go to parties and have a son, when in the reality, the Queen has a lot of responsibilities and work.
  • Manipulative Bitch: Subverted. She knows what Elliot and his minions want to hear, but honestly it was pretty easy, as all they wanted was comfort and praise. All the boys wanted was for someone to not look down on their eccentric and crazy ideas.
  • Son of a Whore: She is, in her case the daughter. Her mother was a whore. Fortunately, her mother is more intelligent than her daughter by a mile

Skies

Martina's fiance and son of the Knights Leader
  • Like Father, Like Son: Zig-Zagged. His parents seems to be competent.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: He is the sole case in the story. Several readers think that the marriage between Skies and Martina is more like a toxic relationship, and he is the sole character whose punishment was excessive or cruel. Because in the real life these types of relationships are not funny.
