    Shadow Plane
The Material Plane has a shadow like anything else, and the Shadow Plane is just that. It is coexistent with the Material Plane, meaning it totally overlaps with the Material Plane. This makes it possible to travel on the Material Plane using the Shadow Plane, or vice versa. It is inhabited by the cruel kytons (velstracs in Second Edition), the light-weaving d'ziriaks, the strangely familiar fetchlings, among many others.
  • Dark World: Functions as this for the entire Material Plane. Being that the Shadow Plane overlaps with it, recognizable locations on the former appear in the latter as twisted reflections.

    The First World
The gods' first attempt at creating a viable world for living things, cast aside before long in favor of the Material Plane. Now home to the fey, who were created as a result of soul-energy passing through the world as they make their way to the Material Plane.
  • World of Chaos: To a somewhat subdued degree. The First World is full of strange life and doesn't have concrete laws of physics.

    Positive Energy Plane
The origin point of life energy. Surprisingly, it remains inhospitable to living things because of how energetic it is; anything not native to the world in the first place (including gods!) violently explode shortly after arrival, unable to contain it.
  • The Lifestream: The Positive Energy Plane is not the ultimate source of the energy which becomes living souls, but it is where said energy and souls mature before they inhabit mortal bodies.

    Negative Energy Plane
Polar opposite of the Positive Energy Plane, the Negative Energy Plane (also lovingly called the Void or the Final End) is the source of the energy which kills living things and powers undead beings.
  • Death World: In the truest sense of the word. Living things without protection have their energy sapped within seconds, killing them and raising them as undead.

    Elemental Plane of Fire
The Elemental Plane of Fire, the Eternal Furnace, is the outermost of the elemental planes, encircling the Plane of Earth to one side, and bordering the Astral Plane to the other. It is a realm of vast, liquid oceans of flame, charred cinderlands, and flowing rivers of magma.
  • Jackass Genie: The Plane of Fire is home to the efreeti, Lawful Evil-aligned fire genies which "take pleasure in fulfilling wishes in pedantic ways that cause suffering, regret, or pain".
  • The Empire: The native efreeti rule the Dominion of Flame, a massive supremacist slaver empire that is utterly hostile to non-efreeti.

    Elemental Plane of Air
The Plane of Air, the Endless Sky, is an elemental plane of the Inner Sphere, which in metaphysical terms is the closest to the Material Plane. It is a realm of unending skies, towering clouds and fierce storms.

    Elemental Plane of Water
The Elemental Plane of Water, the Boundless Sea, is part of the Inner Sphere and composed almost entirely of fresh and salt water. It surrounds the Plane of Air and is in turn surrounded by the Plane of Earth. Detritus from other planes provides pockets of air and solid material, and it is perhaps the most hospitable of the Elemental Planes for extraplanar travelers.

    Elemental Plane of Earth
The Elemental Plane of Earth, the Eternal Delve, is located within the Inner Sphere, between the Plane of Water and the Plane of Fire. It is a realm of seemingly endless rock riddled with caverns, some of them the size of entire planets.
