[[folder:Danafor Holy Knights]]

The former Holy Knights of the now destroyed kingdom of Danafor.

!!Meliodas
See his entry in [[Characters/NanatsuNoTaizaiMainCharacters the Seven Deadly Sins]].

!!Cain Barzad
->Voiced by: Takashi Inagaki

Cain is an elderly man who was first introduced in Byzel's annual fighting festival as the one who led the Seven Deadly Sins to it and as a contestant. While he doesn't look like it, he is actually a former Holy Knight of Danafor.

-----

* BadassGrandpa: He might seem like a weak old man with a bad back but he's actually very strong.
* DrunkenMaster: When he is first introduced, Cain is presented as a drunk. Despite this, he is rather skilled.
* ForgottenFriendNewFoe: When Cain realizes that the person he assumed was Meliodas' son with StrongFamilyResemblance was actually Meliodas himself, he presented himself as this trope. In reality though, Meliodas couldn't remember him because Cain always wore full body armor and always went by his RedBaron moniker in the past. The two also fortunately make up in the end.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: He went by "The Flame Barzad" so much in the past that Meliodas never actually knew him other than that prior to their reunion.
* PlayingWithFire: Cain's main power.
* RedBaron: In the past, he called himself "The Flame Barzad" in association to his fire abilities.
* TwentyFourHourArmor: He wore his full body armor so much in the past that Meliodas had actually never seen him out of it prior to their reunion.

!! Liz
->Voiced by: Creator/SoraAmamiya

A young woman who resembles Elizabeth, and who was once Meliodas' lover when he served Danafor. She was originally a slave of an enemy kingdom of Danafor before being freed by Meliodas. Initially hostile to Meliodas and the Holy Knights of Danafor, she later opened up to them.

-----

* BoyishShortHair: Unlike Elizabeth, Liz had short hair and she was a bit tomboyish.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Initially, she was rather hostile to Meliodas due to them being originally on different sides. However, she later warmed up to him and others.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: She died in Meliodas' arms.
* GoOutWithASmile: When she died.
* IdenticalStranger: Liz looks just like Elizabeth save for her hair.
* InterspeciesRomance: Liz, a human, fell in love with Meliodas a member of the Demon Clan.
* KingArthur: She and her IdenticalStranger are named after [[http://nightbringer.se/a_elizabeth.html Queen]] [[http://www.mythologydictionary.com/elizabeth-mythology.html Elizabeth]] who is the wife of [[http://nightbringer.se/a_meliodas.html King]] [[http://www.mythologydictionary.com/meliad-mythology.html Meliodas]] from the Arthurian myths.
* MadeASlave: Liz was sold as a slave to an enemy kingdom of Danafor before being freed by Meliodas.
* OneSteveLimit: Averted due to Liz's full given name is Elizabeth, same as Princess Elizabeth Liones.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Liz's full name is Elizabeth but she is primarily referred to as Liz by various characters as a way to differentiate her from Princess Elizabeth.
* PeekABangs: Like Elizabeth, Liz's hair covers her right eye.
* PosthumousCharacter: She is long dead prior to the start of the story.
* {{Tsundere}}: Towards Meliodas.

[[folder: Fairy Clan]]

!Fairy Clan

The Fairy Clan is one the five major races in Britannia. About three thousand years prior to the story, they formed an alliance together with Goddess, Giant, and Human Clans in a war against the Demon Clan for which they were victorious against. After the war, the fairies decided to live in peace and harmony within the Fairy King's Forest with a treaty insuring peace between them and the Human Clan.

About 700 years prior to the story though, their king then Harlequin completely disappeared whist searching for his wayward friend. Later, about 20 years prior to the story, further tragedy struck as their forest was destroyed a Demon who mysteriously arrived and they were left homeless. However thanks to the efforts of Ban, the forest was revived and the Fairy Clan has lived there since.

-----

[[AC: Tropes pertaining to the Fairy Clan in general]]

* FairFolk: Not all fairies are of the clear cut friendly type. A number of them are somewhat {{Troll}}-ish in nature and there are those who aren't very nice. Amidst them also, a number have a bit of a FantasticRacism against humans.
* {{Flight}}: A seemingly standard ability for most fairies.
* GreenThumb: A number of the more powerful fairies are capable of magically manipulating plant life.
* HiddenElfVillage: The Fairy King's Forest that the fairies live in which is magically isolated from most.
* TheLostWoods: The Fairy King's Forest in which they live in. It was completely destroyed by a demon in Ban's backstory however, Ban restored it in a new location.
* LongLived: Fairies have extremely long lifespans.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: King and his sister, Elaine, are long living child-like wingless humanoids capable of levitating themselves and other things. For some reason though, only they appear to be wingless. Other fairies on the other hand, have wings. These wings in particular are considered priceless by some humans for which they would go to some really heinous lengths to acquire. Fairies are also noteworthy as their corpses don't rot even after several centuries.
* PointyEars: The winged fairies commonly sport these. King and Elaine do not.
* Really700YearsOld: Fairies are a long lived race and thus a number of them have extremely youthful appearances despite being several centuries old. [[AllThereInTheManual The first Fanbook]] reveals the ages for three youthful looking ones. Both King and Helbram are 1300 years old while Elaine's 1000 years old. While child-like fairies are apparently quite common, there are however some who look significantly older as they sport beards and such. It's not clear though if these are older fairies or not.
* WeHaveBecomeComplacent: Due to constantly relying on their Fairy King for various challenges and threats, the Fairy Clan had become slothful. Rather than solve the problems themselves, they constantly passed the responsibility to whoever was their king. As a result, they became too comfortable in their carefree lives. It however takes King's resolve to protect them despite being thrown out by them that their former pride returned.

!!King a.k.a Harlequin
See his entry in [[Characters/NanatsuNoTaizaiMainCharacters the Seven Deadly Sins]].

!!Elaine
[[quoteright:200:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nanatsu_no_elaine_4684.jpg]]

->Voiced by: Kotori Koiwai

Elaine is King's sister, and the Guardian Saint of the Fountain of Youth, who was killed by a demon from the Demon Clan in the original Fairy King's Forest. Since her death, her spirit resides in the Capital of the Dead while her corpse resides in the revived Fairy King's Forest.

-----

* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Towards Ban.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Her hair and eyes are both yellow.
* CuteGhostGirl: Most notable in the various color spreads where she accompanies Ban, she is this.
* DetachedSleeves: The dress she wears has detached sleeves.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: She died in Ban's arms.
* FriendlyGhost: She's the ghost of a kind-hearted fairy who is in a StarCrossedLovers type of relationship with the immortal living bad boy Ban.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She is a golden haired fairy with an overall kind nature.
* HeroicSacrifice: Elaine sacrificed her life to give Ban his immortality so he could live.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: With Ban. [[http://www.imagebam.com/image/9b2c52312483797 She barely reaches his chest.]]
* InterspeciesRomance: Elaine is a fairy who is in love with Ban, a human.
* IntimateHealing: To save Ban from his fatal injuries, she gave him water from the FountainOfYouth through her mouth via a kiss.
* KingArthur: Elaine is based and named after [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elaine_%28legend%29#Elaine_of_Benoic Elaine of Benoic]], King Ban's wife and Lancelot's mother in the Arthurian myths.
* TheLostLenore: For Ban.
* LuminescentBlush: She had this moment when Ban was skinny dipping and wanted her to join him, and when she found out that Ban overheard that she wanted him to take her.
* MacGuffinGuardian: She was charged with protecting the FountainOfYouth while King was away.
* MayflyDecemberRomance: Elaine, a more than 700 year old fairy, fell in love with Ban and, in reciprocation, he has sworn to make her his despite her being dead.
* OppositesAttract: Ban's a rather tall originally normal-aged JerkWithAHeartOfGold human thief. Elaine's a ReallySevenHundredYearsOld TokenMiniMoe saintly Fairy guardian. They genuinely fell for each other even when circumstances made them even more opposite in nature, what with Ban becoming an undying immortal and Elaine becoming a ghost.
* PosthumousCharacter: She is long dead prior to the beginning of the series.
* RestoredMyFaithInHumanity: During her time protecting the fountain, Elaine develops hatred towards humans, due to all of them trying to steal the fountain and destroy the forest, but her thoughts change when she meets Ban.
* SamaritanRelationshipStarter: She became interested in Ban after she told him that if he were to take the elixir, the forest surrounding it would die and Ban promptly decided that it wasn't worth it.
* StarCrossedLovers: With Ban. She's dead and Ban's immortal however Ban is trying to find a way to rectify this.
* WomanInWhite: Her dress is prominently white.

!!Helbram
See his entry in [[Characters/NanatsuNoTaizaiLiones the Holy Knights of Liones]].

!!Ende

A fairy who doesn't harbor as much resentment for Harlequin upon his return like most of the rest.

-----

* AnimeHair: She has a rather unique hairstyle which basically looks like a candle flame or a flower bud. In the middle and directly above her forehead, she has a patch of hair that's a different color than the rest.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: When she's first encountered, Ende's the only fairy who isn't hurling outright insults at King.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Amidst the most of the fairies who resent King for leaving the forest, Ende's the only one who interacts with him in a non-antagonistic way. Rather than anger, she expresses sadness over the tragedy that befell their home. She's also not antagonistic to Ban either despite him being a human.

!!Gerharde
[[quoteright:225:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b8410bc0c37a4fb9587d9fbcdd1ecad2.png]]

Gerharde is one of the Fairy King's Forest's oldest inhabitants and the advisor of the Fairy King. She however doesn't share the same sentiments that most of her fellow fairies of the restored Fairy King's forest have as she doesn't accept Ban, a mere human, as the new Fairy King. Instead, she sees Harlequin the disgraced former Fairy King as being more worthy of the title.

-----

* EvilChancellor: Somewhat in a way. Due to her racism towards humans, she sees Ban as being unworthy of the title of Fairy King. Thus she tries to restore Harlequin's position by attacking Ban. Ban is actually more than willing to comply with her demands and leave as he didn't really want the job in the first place however she has other plans as his blood is what sustains the Fairy King's Forest.
* EyeObscuringHat: Wears a beenie of sorts that covers her right eye and ear.
* FantasticRacism: Doesn't hold humans in very high regards.
* MagicWand: She wields a berry plant as one to do plant based magic.
* ObviouslyEvil: She's dressed in a more shady looking attire than regular fairies.
* OperaGloves: Wears a pair.
* PimpedOutDress: She wears a more elegant gown than most other fairies. Its dress in particular almost resembles almost like a cocoon or sorts or like that of a bee's abdomen. As such, she's often seen flying off the ground.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Gerharde or Gerard?
* UndyingLoyalty: Among the fairies, she's practically the only one who's still fervently loyal to Harlequin when he returns to his people despite the majority of the other fairies' opinion of him. Her loyalty to Harlequin however only extends to him and not to his successor.

[[folder: Demon Clan '''*SPOILERS*''']]

!Demon Clan

The Demon Clan is one the five major races in Britannia. About three thousand years prior to the story, they waged an ancient war against all the other races of the country. It was only through the combined efforts of the Goddess, Giant, Fairy, and Human Clans that the demons were defeated. The majority of the demons were sealed away in a prison created by the Goddess Clan after the war. The act of unsealing them from this prison so that the Liones Holy Knights can go to war with them is the main motivation of Hendrickson in the first part of the story.

Despite the efforts to stop him, Hendrickson however succeeds in freeing a few of them thanks to some hidden help. With their release, these demons become the second main antagonists of the series.

-----

[[AC: Tropes pertaining to the Demon Clan in general]]

* BiggerBad: They are the monsters that Hendrickson was planning to fight against and gain glory.
* BlackEyesOfEvil: Being demons, they have these.
* GreenLanternRing: Like Meliodas, a number of them can manipulate the dark markings that covers their bodies and form them into other things such as wings that allow them to fly.
* HealingFactor: Both Meliodas and Hendrickson have been shown to be able to use the eerie black smoke like substance that oozes from them to reattach their arms and in Hendrikson's case sew back several gaping slash wounds on his torso. Hendrickson has also stated this is the reason the corrosive power of his "Acid" ability is ineffective against members of the Demon Clan. Using it too much, however, will leave the user's magic power drastically weakened.
* MarkOfTheBeast: A number of the demons have tattoo-like demonic symbols on their body similar to the one Meliodas has.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent
** The weakest ones are fat ogre-like {{Big Red Devil}}s with [[SpareBodyParts two hearts]].
** There are gray demons who are much more powerful than the red ones.
** Then there are the Ten Commandments that are just completely different to the above two.
* SealedEvilInACan: The majority of them were sealed away long ago in a prison that can only be opened using blood of a Goddess apostle. A few drops from a cloth that was used to clean Elizabeth's wounds were used to free about nine of them.

!!The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments are a group of ten elite demons who serve directly under the Demon King.

-----

[[AC: Tropes pertaining to the Ten Commandments in general]]

* BadassCrew: They are an elite group of demons.
* TheDreaded: Their aura upon reawakening, which caused an earthquake that the whole Liones Kingdom felt, gave the normally aloof Meliodas to shake in terror. Diane later comments she's never seem him so worked up before. Even the likewise aloof Merlin lost control of her emotions upon being informed that they were freed.
* HandicappedBadass: Their powers were almost completely drained as a consequence of being sealed for thousands of years. One of their number still has a PowerLevel higher than that of the Seven Sins' ''combined''.

!!!Fraudrin

The first of the Ten Commandments to appear, having somehow escaped being sealed a decade or so prior to the story. He took residence inside Dreyfus' and has been manipulating events from behind the scenes in order to free his brethren.

-----

* AffablyEvil: He allows Hendrickson to live after the latter unwittingly unseals Fraudrin's brethren rather than [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness offing him]].
* ChekhovsGunman: The first indication he exists is during Gowther's Nightmare Teller attack on Dreyfus. He is in fact the thing that drove Gowther out.
* DemonicPossession: He invaded Dreyfus' body and took full possession of it during certain times in order to achieve the demons' goals. He decided to take full control of it after the events wherein the Sins defeated Hendrickson.
* HiddenVillain: He was completely hidden from most of the other characters due to hiding within Dreyfus.
* TheManBehindTheMan: He turns out to be the true mastermind behind Dreyfus and Hendrickson's schemes as well as in extension to the various misdeeds that the Liones Holy Knights did.

!!!Zeldoris
[[quoteright:160:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dc4345590ca89cf1ae09a6fb7e8e8e06.png]]

A dark haired kid looking demon who bares a strong resemblance to Meliodas. He is Estarossa's and Meliodas' brother.

-----

* CainAndAbel: He and Estarossa so far appear to be both the Cain to Meliodas' Abel.
* EvilCounterpart: To Meliodas. Both have similar child-like appearances and like Meliodas, he's apparently the leader of his respective group based on his interactions. However whereas Meliodas is normally laid-back and aloof, Zeldoris appears to be a serious and no-nonsense type of guy. Their prominent hands also differ with Meliodas' being [[TheSouthPaw his left hand]] while Zeldoris being his right one.
* SiblingYinYang: He appears to have this with both his brothers. With Meliodas, they appear to have a CainAndAbel dynamic which goes so far as to him being Meliodas' EvilCounterpart. With Estarossa, they appear to have a FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling dynamic as he's more serious about their situation upon being freed while Estarossa immediately slacks off when given the chance.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Zeldoris or Zeldris?
* StarcrossedLovers: According to the Vampires of Edinburgh short story, it's implied he was in love with Gelda which is why he couldn't bring himself to execute her and her comrades when the vampires betrayed the Demon Clan.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: While so far just stated as being Meliodas' younger brother, he looks almost exactly like his twin complete with identical looking demonic symbol. The exception though is that he has a different hairstyle and color, and his symbol is on the left side of his forehead as opposed to Meliodas's which is on the right side.

!!!Estarossa

A demon who uncannily resembles Meliodas' wanted poster. He is Zeldoris' and Meliodas' brother.

-----

* {{Bishonen}}: He looks like a more grown up handsome looking Meliodas.
* CainAndAbel: He and Zeldoris so far appear to be both the Cain to Meliodas' Abel.
* HairAntennae: Unsurprisingly, a characteristic he shares with Meliodas.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: Though it's not yet revealed what exactly is their familial relationship other than that they are brothers, he greatly resembles the adult character depicted on Meliodas' wanted poster.

!!!Galan
[[quoteright:239:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/190b04a0d68a70c6af40d557c87217b1.png]]

A tall armored demon with long limbs who wields a spear.

-----

* BloodKnight: After finding out two Albions were destroyed, he decides to fight whoever defeated one of them as a warm-up stretch.
* CoolHelmet: He has a horned helmet with a visor design that looks like a jack-o'-lantern SlasherSmile.
* DoubleWeapon: At one tip of his spear is a spearhead. At the other tip is what can be best described as a axehead-like blade.
* InASingleBound: He reaches Meliodas and company in Camelot who are miles away from his location by ''leaping'' there. Galan remarks that he's slower than he was in the past, since it took him 72 steps instead of 70. He's even able to avoid Merlin's teleportation magic by simply jumping out of the spell's area of effect.
* LeanAndMean: He's tall, skinny, and a demon.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Casually levels an entire city with a swing of his spear.
* PowerLevel: Galan's is ''26,000''. This is when he's running on empty, meaning his actual power is much greater.
* {{Pride}}: Arrogantly believes that there's no way he could lose, even though his power is depleted. Zeldoris chides him for his pride, reminding him that this arrogance got the Demon Clan sealed away in the first place. Galan just sarcastically remarks that he's too old to remember such things.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Galan or Garan?
* SuperStrength: Strong enough to bring down Diane, a giant, with a simple kick. Since his "Power" is still 0 thanks to the seal, it's implied that most if not all of his Power Level of 26000 is simply his raw physical strength.
\\
\\

!!!Yet to be Named Members

* CuteMonsterGirl: Three of the nine demons that were freed appear to be cute looking demon girls.
* EldritchAbomination: One of the nine demons freed is some kind of miasma-like creature adorned in multiple face masks.
* EverythingsSquishierWithCephalopods: One of the yet to be named female demons appears to be part octopus as she has several massive tentacles that normally wrap around her.
* HairAntennae: One of the demon girls has this, just like Estarossa and Meliodas.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: There's a giant demon with a bag over it's face with four arms. There's also a female demon with multiple tentacles.
* RoyalRapier: One of the yet to be named male demons carries around a rapier.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: One of the yet to be named female demons is completely naked except for the dark blood that barely covers parts of her body.

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Other Characters]]

!!Pelliot

The son of the leader of the village of Ordan. He takes care of Gowther in the years that the Sins separated after finding the latter heavily wounded.

-----

* AdaptedOut: He doesn't appear in the anime due to Gowther's introduction being changed entirely.
* BrattyHalfPint: Pelliot tends to act like one, but he is a good person at heart as he saved Gowther when he was injured.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Pelliot comes off as a brat, but he does show that he actually cares, as when he carried the injured Gowther to the village despite having weak little arms.
* InterGenerationalFriendship: With Gowther/Armando.
* PleaseDontLeaveMe: His reaction when Gowther decided to leave Ordan to aid with the Seven Deadly Sins in their fight against the Holy Knights.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Early fan scanlations have his name spelled as Pelio. The official spelling though is Pelliot.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: When he finds out that Armando is Gowther and the fact that he lied about his personality to please him, he swears to become a Holy Knight to capture him.
* WasItAllALie: Pelliot asked if the whole Armando thing was a lie. Gowther explains that the Armando persona was never real but it's apparent that the friendship they had was.

!! Armored Giant
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/01f46b96519a8433308c4d14aa79cb16.png]]

A gigantic heavily mutated Holy Knight that was found inhabiting Gowther's armor in Ordan Forest.

-----

* AdaptationDyeJob: The cover of Volume 7 of the manga depicts the eponymous armor which the creatures wears as simply gray. The anime gives the armor a purple colorscheme matching more that of Gowther's.
* AdaptationExpansion: We see more of it before it went berserk in the anime.
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: In the manga, the Armored Giant is pretty much a mindless beast that displayed little to no sentience or control. In the anime, while under Gowther's care, it's a more sympathetic creature with a slight more sentience and control.
* BodyHorror: Its mutations can be best described as something out of ''Manga/{{Akira}}''.
** MultiArmedAndDangerous: Originally started out as a two armed abomination whose fingers were arms complete with their own fingers. Later, its two main arms split into four smaller ones, thus becoming a four armed monster.
** MultipleHeadCase: Apart from its normal looking human head, it had several. One that was chopped off and given to Dawn Roar, and four that grew out of his main monstrous body. These later merged together to form a single multi-faced head.
* EarlyBirdCameo: In the anime, he appears alongside Gowther in the Byzel Fighting Festival prior to their proper introduction in the manga.
* GentleGiant: It appears to be one at first in the anime, until it accidentally kills a rabbit.
* HulkSpeak: In the anime, how it talks.
* MexicanStandoff: Had a extremely long and epic one with Dawn Roar.
* RedBaron: It was called the Armored Giant due to it wearing Gowther's armor.
* RedHerring: It's initially assumed to be Gowther due to wearing his armor, however it turns out not to be him. In anime, the assumption is made further by the way it speaks which can be interpreted as it addressing itself as Gowther rather than it addressing the real Gowther during their interactions.
* SealedEvilInACan: Gowther sealed it in his own armor in order to suppress its power.
* TragicMonster / WasOnceAMan: The Armored Giant was [[spoiler: originally Dale, Guila's father,]] until he was mutated by [[spoiler: Hendrickson]]. As such, he thanks Ban after his MercyKill.

!!Arthur Pendragon
[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nanatsuarthur_1235.jpg]]

->Voiced by: Sachi Kokuryu

The newly appointed king of Camelot who was very briefly mentioned in gossip early in the manga. Like his namesake, he pulled a sword out of a stone and became Camelot's king. He comes to Liones with a cloaked figure that is somehow able to produce a large army. His intention is apparently to visit the king of Liones, not knowing that the kingdom had been ursurped by its Holy Knights.

-----

* AChildShallLeadThem: Like his namesake, he became king at a very young age after he pulled the sword out of the stone. During the current storyline he's only sixteen.
* ADayInTheLimelight: In World of Love.
* {{Badass}}: First foreshadowed by his extremely powerful presence felt amidst his huge army alongside a cloaked figure, Arthur proves himself to be this when he fights off evenly against the Great Holy Knight Hendrickson. What's more this particular battle was Arthur's first real fight against an opponent. He only staggered abit later on only on account of Hendrickson deciding to use forbidden abilities, and that Arthur lacked sufficient experience.
** It's then further revealed that while Arthur has incredible latent power within him as sensed by others, he has yet to figure out what exactly his power is or how to even use it. So in other words, he was pretty much a BadassNormal when he fought against Hendrickson.
** BadassAdorable: Arthur was very talented even as a kid.
* ChekhovsNews: He was mentioned as early as Chapter 3 of the manga as very easy to miss [[InfallibleBabble gossip]] among the drinking patrons of the Boar Hat. 59 chapters later, he comes to Liones in full force.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: When he met King Baltra Liones in his youth, Arthur was told that instead of becoming a Holy Knight as he had always dreamed to become, he would become something much greater, a king. From this momentous prediction, all that Arthur took from it was that he was never going to be a Holy Knight.
* CoolHelmet: He wears a vaguely demonic looking helmet.
* CoolSword: He apparently possesses two swords, each with a different intricately designed hilts. One that he pulled out of the stone, and one with crosses that act as the ends of its cross guard and its pommel.
* DidntSeeThatComing: The Holy Knights and the Sins were so busy with their own affairs that they didn't see Arthur and his entire army coming.
* FieryRedhead: He has orange hair that goes with a personality that can sometimes be a bit cocky.
* FightsLikeANormal: Arthur was forced to fight against Hendrickson without the aid of his own power due to him not yet knowing what type of power exactly he has. He proves to be a match for the Great Holy Knight in regular combat.
* HappilyAdopted: Was adopted by a Holy Knight.
* HowDoIShotWeb: Based on what others sensed from him, Arthur has incredible latent power. The only problem is that he doesn't even know what type of power he has. Still without even knowing what type of power he has, Arthur was able to hold his own against a Great Holy Knight.
* IdiotHero / IdiotSavant: Idiot can best describe certain aspects of Arthur such as him not knowing what type of power he has despite it being incredibly strong. Regardless he proves to be incredibly heroic and proficient in regular combat.
-->'''Hauser:''' Is this guy... an idiot?
-->'''Guila:''' Either that, or he really is something...
* IdiotHair: Arthur has a long part of his hair which sticks out prominently in a rather distinctive shape.
* KingArthur: ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin.
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: Towards Meliodas.
* NotBloodSiblings: With Kay.
** CainAndAbel: The Abel to Kay's Cain.
* ThePollyanna: As shown in a special side chapter depicting Arthur meeting King Baltra Liones as a child, Arthur generally had an upbeat and rather hopeful attitude. Best demonstrated when he was saved from his [[BigBrotherBully adopted brother Kay's]] attempt to seriously injure Arthur by Baltra, all that Arthur did was calmly thank Baltra immediately rather than react to terror to the severity of the situation. Arthur even [[EasilyForgiven easily forgives]] Kay citing that one day they maybe the best of friends.
* RedHeadedHero: He is a light orange heroic character.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: As the King of Camelot.
* UnskilledButStrong: He hasn't actually been unable to discover his particular ability, such as Gilthunder's affinity for lightning or Griamor's barrier ability. Despite this, he was able to hold off Hendrickson for quite awhile until Meliodas arrived to take over the fight, meaning he's roughly on par with the strongest fighters just by swinging a sword around.

!!Edinburgh Vampires

A group of vampires that the Seven Deadly Sins defeated in the past. Long ago, the Vampire Clan was sealed away in a sarcophagus. However, 12 years prior to the story, they were mysteriously freed and took over the entire kingdom of Edinburgh, with the entire populace either massacred or turned into vampires. Led by the Vampire King, they intended to conquer Liones and beyond. Seeing the threat, the Seven Deadly Sins were sent to deal with them.

The vampires and the entire Edinburgh incident have been mentioned in passing occasionally in the series proper. The entire incident though is detailed in a side story that's accompanied with the Blu-ray DVD releases of the anime.

-----

* BeardOfEvil: Izraf the Vampire King sports a big one.
* BigLittleBrother: Ganne the younger brother of Mod is a giant muscle-bounded powerhouse.
* {{Bizarrchitecture}}: The Vampire King's ability does this to Edinburgh castle. Think the inverted castle from ''[[VideoGame/CastlevaniaSymphonyOfTheNight Symphony of the Night]]'' with some parts not only facing upwards but some also facing in all the other directions. All of this combined and arranged in a mess that can be best described as looking similar to a meat pie that [[LethalChef Meliodas cooked]].
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Ren has two blades each growing out from her forearms. Visually, they resemble those wielded by the of Tarkata of ''Franchise/MortalKombat''.
* BalloonBelly: Due to Ban being immortal, Orlondi gorges himself on a practically endless supply of blood, turning himself into essentially a disgustingly large blood bag. However whilst doing this, Ban steals his strength rendering the vampire unable to move with his newly acquired girth when Ban frees himself.
* CombatTentacles: Orlondi uses invisible venom tipped tentacles that come from his back to immobilize his victims and directly drink their blood from.
* CoolChair: Izraf had one which was made from human corpses.
* TheDividual: Modganne the Dual Sword are actually two vampire brothers who are collectively identified as one individual.
* EnemyCivilWar: Three thousand years ago, the Vampire Clan had a treaty with the Demon Clan. The demon Zeldoris however supposedly broke that treaty which led to a conflict that ended with the entire Vampire Clan being sealed away. In reality though, it was Izraf who broke it as he decided to betray the demons with a secret rebellion despite the vampires being the vassals of the demons during the ancient war.
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: In the middle of the mass of wringing tentacles which originate from Orlondi's back is an eye.
* ForegoneConclusion: The vampires have long since been defeated at the start of the series proper.
* ICannotSelfTerminate: Unable to bare continuing her existence as a monster, Gelda asked Meliodas to kill her.
* LargeAndInCharge: Izraf the Vampire King is noticeably the largest of the vampires.
* LittleBigBrother: Mod the elder brother of Ganne is a shrimpy goblin-like spellcaster that rides around Ganne.
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: The vampires were actually sealed three thousand years ago by Zeldoris, a demon who appears to have some ties with Meliodas.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Low ranking vampires aren't that powerful and act almost like mindless zombies. They likewise can be destroyed in a similar way via decapitation or complete dismemberment of the body. Higher ranking vampires possess magical abilities like other powerful characters within the series and are more sentient. They also can't be killed so easily through dismemberment as shown with Orlondi who manages to remain alive despite being reduced to only an eyeball by Ban. Vampires as a whole are twice as powerful during the night.
* PlayingWithFire: Gelda uses fire magic.
* PopGoesTheHuman: After Orlondi gorges himself on Ban's blood and becomes a massive blood bag unable to move on his own due to Ban stealing the vampire's strength, Ban decides to punch him in the belly. Cue Orlondi bursting like a blood filled piņata.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: The Vampire King and his lieutenants are over three thousand years old. One of them, Orlondi looks like a mere kid.
* RedBaron: The top ranking vampires who serve Izraf all have epithets. These are Orlondi the Rose, Ren the Black Claw, Gelda of the Thousand Temptations, and Modganne the Dual Sword.
* SealedEvilInACan: They were originally sealed away but somehow escaped.
* SensualSpandex: Ren wears a buttoned catsuit-like outfit with leggings that cover the entirety of her legs and end with her shoes. It's also sleeveless and has a CleavageWindow.
* SpaceMaster: The Vampire King Izraf has the ability to warp space and time so that he can shroud a location in [[TheNightThatNeverEnds eternal night]] as he did with Edinburgh castle. His ability is so powerful that not only does it warp the entire castle into a mishmash of Bizarrchitecture but it also renders Merlin's teleportation spells moot. The spacial distortion is also so strong that Meliodas simply walking a few steps away from Escanor placed them both in two completely different locations.
* StarCrossedLovers: After their rebellion against the Demon Clan in the past failed, Izraf and his entourage were meant to be executed by Zeldoris. Instead they were sealed away by him. It's implied that he did this because he was in love with Gelda.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Ren and Gelda.
* VampireMonarch: The Vampire King Izraf who's is several times more powerful than the rest. His top lieutenants meanwhile are all identified as Vampire Royalty.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Izraf and Ganne.
* WeakenedByTheLight: Being vampires, they're naturally weak to sunlight and die from exposure from it.
