Characters

Mikoláš

• Abduction Is Love: Falls for Marketa after having kidnapped (and raped her). She eventually reciprocate.
• Blood Knight: The fiercest and deadliest knight of the Kozlík clan.
• Honor Before Reason: Mikoláš knows that trying the rescue of his father is a suicide mission, but would try anyway because let his father being executed would shame him
• Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Probably one of the reasons why Marketa would fall for him aside from being a fearless warrior
• Villain Protagonist: One could argue that he's the real protagonist instead of Marketa. He has definitely redeeming qualities and eventually atones for his crimes, he still committed murder, stealing and rape.

Kozlík

• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: In contrast to Lazar. He knows that he's committed sins and is prepared to pay for them, but also he cares for his family and his children which is his main motivation. He also admits that he loves his sons before his death.

Lazar

• Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Twice towards Mikoláš.
• Dirty Coward: He has Mikoláš beaten by his man when he shows up alone to get his alliance, but pisses his pants when Mikolas comes back to get revenge and kidnap his daughter.
• Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Aside from the Kick the Dog moment when he has Mikoláš beaten after he shows up in peace (and even previously spared his life), he doesn't get better as he later refuses to let his daughter come back home since she's now Defiled Forever, even though it was caused by his actions to begin with.
