Doran Mann

Magical plant whose roots look like a human. It's a poisonous, but also used for medicinal purposes. Also called the mandragora.
A member of middle school's gardening club and son of Mr. Hortensia. He is the representation of a Mandrake, also called Mandrogora. He was born somewhere in Europe but now lives with his father in Korea.

Bell Pepper

Red bell peppers are especially rich in nutrients. Perhaps due to the spiciness, this unlucky Mandrake is unpopular among students as well as teachers.
He is the representation of a Bell Pepper. Bell is a middle school PE teacher that likes to use and show off his muscles. His favorite sport is swimming because he gets hot easily and can go topless. He is very passionate but lacks tact and often ends up causing trouble for others. He often visits the Gardening club to go see Hortensia Mann.
  • Ambiguously Gay: He can be a bit too ambiguous with his intention to Mr. Hortensia. It's to the point that Doran did not like at all.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Have a bright red hair with the eyes to match the color.
  • Dumb Muscle: Have a great six-pack body, but Mr. Pepper is an oblivius and simple-minded man.
  • Hunk: His body is... quite good.

  • Lovable Jock: While he lack a tact, Mr. Pepper is genuinely a good guy without any sinister intent.
  • Mr. Fanservice: He have four seeds. Two of them are a topless Mr. Bell Pepper, just with a swim shorts.

Hortensia Mann

Symbol of sincerity or fickleness. Said to be fickle because the flower changes color depending on the acidity of soil. Its innocent beauty is its greatest charm.
He is the representation of a Hydrangea. A middle school science teacher and the adviser of the Gardening club. When he went to study abroad in Europe, he met a free-spirited woman and had a son, Doran Mann, which he is currently raising alone in Korea. He loves research and his hobby is gardening.
  • Caring Gardener
  • Like Father, Like Son: His love towards flower coming within his son, Doran, too.
  • Good Parents: Considering he had his son when Mr. Hortensia still young , a young student, probably high school, he did a quite good job raising Doran.
  • Jock Dad, Nerd Son: Inverted. Mr. Hortensia is a science teacher who like to do a research while Doran, although he hate sport, have an excellent athletics.
  • Nice Guy: Polite, sweet, and kind. A total sweetheart.

Zale Lea

Symbol of moderation, first love. A typical spring flower, it is commonly found throughout mountains and plains. Taken to be a wildflower, this Mandrake is not given much attention.
He is the representation of a Azalea. Zale is a kind-hearted and outspoken high school freshman and the childhood friend of Cher. He is very proud of his childhood friend and sometimes wonders how such a great guy became his friend. He has a crush on Tori Oak.

Tori Oak

Fruit of the fagaceae family. They say "mighty oaks from little acorns grow." Don't underestimate acorns!
She is the representation of an Acorn. Tori is a high school freshman and one of the few female characters in the game. She loves comics, video games and anime to the point of creating some while drawing inspiration from her surroundings.

  • Fangirl: A highschool girl who loves anime, comics, and video games.
  • Hidden Eyes: Her eyes are obscured by her common root. The rare root for her shows large blue eyes.
  • Smurfette Principle: One of the only few female character in this game.
  • Tareme Eyes: What hidden behind those bangs.
  • Yaoi Fangirl: A fujoshi, and she also a shipper of Cher-Zale. This is one of the reason why she rejected Zale.

Cher

Symbol of chastity, rare beauty. The most glamorous and famous among spring flowers. So famous that it even has its own festival.
He is the representation of Cherry Blossom. Cher is a highschool freshman. He is popular and overachieving student that manages to juggle sports, studying, club activities, class representative duties, friends, tutoring, hobbies and hanging out with Zale all while keeping a calm demeanor.
  • Ambiguously Gay: His feeling for Zale is really... Ambiguous. He become strange when Zale mentions Tori most of the time. Some of the story dialogues even implying it.
    Cher: You're so selfish, Zale…you don't even realize how people feel... [From additional story in Japanese version]
  • Attractive Bent-Gender: Cher can be a beautiful girl when crossdress. Just make him wear a dress and wig, and he can totally pass as girl. Well, a tall one, but beautiful girl nonetheless.
  • Best Friend: With Zale.
  • Childhood Friends: With Zale (2).
  • Pretty Boy
  • Princely Young Man: Downplayed, a seemingly always calm young man who is called as the School Prince.
  • Sickly Child Grew Up Strong: He used to be very sick when he was in kindergarten.
  • The Ace: Good at everything. From academic, sport, and a lot others. He's really popular because of that.

Kai

A plant easily seen in the mountains and plains. The way it sways to and fro with the wind makes people watching it feel somewhat sentimental.
He is the representation of Kangroo Grass. Kai is the little brother of Reese. He and his brother are shepherds. He is a sweet young boy who loves his older brother a lot and wants to grow up to be just like him.
