->Voiced by: Creator/HirofumiNojima (Japanese), Creator/TonyOliver (English)

* StrongFamilyResemblance: He bears some resemblance to his father Rashid, they both have wavy hair and a similar height.

[[folder: Al-Thamen]]
Also known as "The Organization." Their plan is to spread poverty, war, and discrimination throughout the world, slipping into positions of power within various countries as merchants, political advisers, or court ladies.
* TheCorrupter
* DarkIsEvil: Their power source, weapons, armor, and even their djinn are all black.
* TheDarkSide: And like any good dark side, they totally don't see themselves that way.
* DevilInPlainSight: Honestly. What ruler in his right mind would trust such a sketchy group of people to be honest advisers? None of them even show their ''faces'' at first.
* DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans: All because they want to ScrewDestiny.
* EnemyToAllLivingThings: They spread and feed off of black Rukh, which is basically malicious emotional energy.
* FallenHero: Many of them risked their lives to protect the world of Alma Torran and were Solomon's allies, if not his friends. Now they are the ones who betrayed Solomon and started the war that would ultimately destroy Alma Torran. Some of these former allies; like Ithnan, [[spoiler:Falan, Wahid, Arba]] and Markkio, are now even members of Al-Thamen.
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: [[spoiler:In Alma Torran, many of them were already broken as a result of losing their families in the final battle, but when they consequently discover the true meaning and nature of destiny from Ill Ilah; of how they are merely finite beings powerless to change their fate, they completely lose it, complete with BrokenTears and ImCryingButIDontKnowWhy being shown. Even after Solomon erases Ill Ilah's "destiny", they are convinced they are now trapped in Solomon's "prison", which leads to them rebelling against him. Eventually many of them formed Al-Thamen, with their sole goal as being to defy fate and destiny at whatever the cost. They still fail to realize they are actually surrending to Ill Ilah's destiny of suffering and bringing darkness wherever they go.]]
* InTheHood: Fairly often.
* KnightTemplar
* MalevolentMaskedMen
* TheManBehindTheMan: How they operate. They infiltrate countries, find the most tragic and/or gullible figure, turn them, and then turn them loose on their revenge quests.
* MoralMyopia: If its doctrine is to be believed, Al-Thamen thinks it's doing good. This despite the fact that they deliberately go about causing suffering and destruction everywhere they go, and call anyone who doesn't share their fallacy "arrogant."
* NebulousEvilOrganization
* RuleOfSymbolism: All of the members begin with hoods or hair obscuring their eyes. The men also wear headdresses secured by thorny crowns.
* ScrewDestiny: Their main goal. Deconstructed in that their way to do it destroys other people's livelihoods. Furthermore, the destiny which they are defying [[spoiler:is actually Solomon's wish for everyone to be free. The higher-ups of Al-Thamen don't really want to screw destiny, they want to embrace it. By inviting Ill Ilah into the world.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: [[spoiler:Solomon trapped them all in another dimension, but unfortunately they became beings formed by thoughts and came to ''Magi'''s world in order to destroy Solomon's world once again.]]
* SecretCircleOfSecrets: In their secret meetings they even stand in concentric circles!
* SmugSuper: All of the hosts of dark metal vessels are incredibly arrogant about it, even though, thus far, they have been shown as completely inferior to normal metal vessels (and even some household vessels). Not to mention the fact that such people were the ones unable to pass the test for real metal vessels.
* StrawNihilist
* WhatIsEvil: Al-Thamen views itself as being a noble organization, attempting to free the world as it is now from "enslavement"; rather than an organization set out to destroy peace and order, and spread destruction and conflict. [[spoiler: This viewpoint is considerably more disturbing once it becomes evident that should they succeed in "inviting their father" to the world, they will have killed everybody, including themselves, and they KNOW it]].

A Magi and "Priest" of the Kou Empire who follows Al-Thamen and claims to be an old "friend" of Sinbad.

->Voiced by: Creator/RyoheiKimura (Japanese), Creator/ToddHaberkorn (English)
* AffablyEvil
* AxCrazy: He loves war and fighting, to the extent that he really doesn't need a reason.
* AndIMustScream: [[spoiler: After Aladdin changed with Alma Torran's knowledge the laws of physics, Judar will be pushed away till the ends of time to the ends of the universe. Even if he dies, his Rukh won't be able to return. Ugo however saves him from this fate by altering his trajectory so that he lands in the same place where Alibaba's soul was sent.]]
* BareYourMidriff
* {{Bishounen}}
* BlackMage
* BlackMagic: He uses black Rukh instead of white Rukh.
* BloodKnight: He decides to become Sinbad's enemy, because it would be more fun to fight such a powerful person than be allied with him.
* BraidsOfAction: Like Aladdin, he has a single, long braid that very much resembles [[Disney/{{Aladdin}} Princess Jasmine's]].
* BreakTheHaughty: [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown His battle against Ugo]]. He gets better.
* CourtMage: The ''Shinkan'' (High Priest) of the Kou Empire.
* CrocodileTears
* DeceptiveDisciple: [[spoiler: He becomes one to Gyokuen, following his revolt with Hakuryuu.]]
* TheDragon: [[spoiler:To Hakuryuu.]]
* DeflectorShield: His Bolg.
* ElementalPowers: Part of being a trained Magi.
** AnIcePerson: The magic he's best with.
** GravityMaster: Imbues a Dark Djinn with this.
** ShockAndAwe: The first type of magic displayed in the whole series.
* EroticEating: When first introduced, he's eating peaches and letting the juice dribble all over his bare chest.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Played for laughs in the [[ Volume 12 omake]]: Even ''he'' is disgusted when Aladdin tells him how Sinbad has slept with so many women, that he has more than 7000 kids.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood
* EvilCounterpart: To Aladdin.
* EvilVersusOblivion: [[spoiler: He stands on the side of Evil alongside Hakuryuu, after they fall into depravity together - going against Al-Thamen standing on the side of Oblivion, who want to destroy the world entirely.]]
* FightingDirty
* ForTheEvulz: Pretty much his whole reason for doing anything.
* FreudianExcuse: If what Judar said to Sinbad was true, Al-Thamen killed his family and seized him after his powers manifested as a child.
* GigglingVillain
* {{Guyliner}}: You'd think it was to just make him look more bishie, but its probably a ShoutOut to his original story, in which Judar had to retrieve a phial of kohl (make-up).
* HazyFeelTurn: [[spoiler: During their conquest of Belial's dungeon, Judar decides to defy his former comrades of Al-Thamen and kill its leader Gyokuen alongside Hakuryuu. But in doing so he rejects a chance at redemption, going from wanting nothing but war and carnage, to now wanting to make Hakuryuu king by destroying the world to remake it theirs anew, while killing anyone who gets in their way.]]
* HearingVoices: [[spoiler:He apparently has a voice inside his head that prevents him from seeking redemption within Belial's dungeon. Just like that other traitorous Magi...]]
* IgnoredEpiphany:
** Ultimately, double subverted. It initially seems that after Aladdin shows to Judar through Solomon's Wisdom about what Al-Thamen did to him in the past, he is fine with it afterwards. He even pretends to be upset and mocks Sinbad for feeling sorry, when telling him about this in Chapter 110. From that aforementioned appearance, it can be assumed that Aladdinís revelation had no real effect on Judar whatsoever...
** [[spoiler:...However, come Chapter 244, it is revealed that he actually feels severe resentment and self-hatred for Al-Thamen stealing his childhood. Thanks to Solomonís Wisdom, now filled with rage at Al-Thamenís actions, Judar allies with Hakuryuu to defy Al-Thamenís control and kill Gyokuen. In order to achieve this, they try conquering Belialís dungeon. When the Djinn tries to reform them by revealing their true wishes through illusory manifestations; Judar rejects symbolic redemption from Aladdinís and falls into depravity once again alongside Hakuryuu, feeling in his anger that heís gone too far to go back, now seeking to destroy this unfair world instead.]]
* InLoveWithYourCarnage: Especially [[FoeYay Sinbad's]].
* ItsAllAboutMe
* {{Jerkass}}
* KickTheDog: He smiles at Aladdin and introduces himself, then, as he reaches out to shake hands with him, punches him in the eye. Then he laughs at Alibaba for his weakness against his half-brother after Alibaba had already kicked himself for his failure. He pretends to have a DarkAndTroubledPast, then laughs at Sinbad for believing him and feeling sorry for him.
* LackOfEmpathy: Shown in his first appearance.
* TheNicknamer: Judar pretty much calls everyone by some kind of degrading nickname, like "chibi" for Aladdin and "stupid king" for Sinbad.
* NietzscheWannabe: He qualifies to a certain extent, but in the end, [[ForTheEvulz he probably just doesn't give a damn]].
* OmnicidalManiac: With shades of PutThemAllOutOfMyMisery.
* OppositesAttract: WordOfGod revealed that his type of woman is one with a personality opposite to his.
* PetTheDog: In one omake, we see him playing nice with Aladdin doing some magi stuff. Some of his interactions with Kougyoku count as this to, like complimenting her swordsmanship and calling her cute.
* ThePowerOfHate: His hatred and anger towards the world caused his MagicWand to evolve [[spoiler: and regain a ThirdEye]] out of all the concentrated black Rukh inside him.
* PsychoForHire
* PsychopathicManchild
* RapunzelHair
* RebelliousRebel: [[spoiler: Judar was already part of Al-Thamen, an organization whose goal is to defy the natural order of fate and destiny. After conquering Belial's dungeon together with Hakuryuu, they decide to revolt against Al-Thamen and kill their leader personally.]]
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Judar's color scheme is chiefly black and white, though ArtisticLicense often gives him red eyes or red highlights in his hair as well.
* RedemptionRejection: [[spoiler:In Belial's dungeon, a manifestation of his mind in the form of Aladdin shows that part of Judar's mind wanted to go towards his side, but that would mean accepting with a smile what a horrible life he had, forgiving the world that made him miserable. But his anger would never let him do that - and if the world says he's in the wrong, then he'll destroy it too and remake it as his own.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* TheResenter: Chapter 244 reveals that he resents his fellow Magi because [[spoiler:they avoided being manipulated and enslaved by Al-Thamen. As he puts it, "Why...did it have to be me?"]]
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: He decides to leave the battlefield after some debris almost felt over him; after all, he has become pretty useless after [[spoiler:he created an AntiMagic barrier in order to depower Gyokuen and make the fight a little more easier for Hakuryuu.]]
* SlasherSmile: When fighting against Aladdin or Sinbad.
* SmugSuper: He's incredibly arrogant about his abilities as a Magi.
* SpoiledBrat: Judar was peasant-born, but he was certainly lavished like a king after Al-Thamen came and took him.
* SquishyWizard: Beyond his magic offensive abilities and Bolg shield, it doesn't take much to knock him out.
* SwordAndSorcerer: [[spoiler: The Sorcerer to Hakuryuu's Sword.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: He learns how to use transfer magic, his MagicWand becomes a trident-like MagicStaff, and [[spoiler:gets a ThirdEye]]. All thanks to ThePowerOfHate.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: He ''loves'' peaches.
* {{Tykebomb}}: He was born into a normal family, but just minutes after his birth, Al-Thamen kidnapped him to use him for his Magi status.
* VitriolicBestBuds: His relationship with Kougyoku. He calls her an old hag and generally mocks her, but he also encouraged her to become strong and it's clear that they do care for each other. The supplementary materials take it even further by mentioning that he specifically enjoys messing with Kougyoku on his days off. [[spoiler: After Chapter 243, his relationship with Hakuryuu becomes this too.]]
* WarForFunAndProfit: He REALLY loves war.
* YinYangBomb: As a Magi, he's loved by white Rukh, but since he has also gone through depravity, he's loved by black Rukh too.

The head of finances for the Kou Empire.

->Voiced by: Creator/ShinichiroMiki (Japanese), Creator/LiamOBrien (English)
* BreakTheHaughty: [[ Sinbad shows him just why you don't want to mess with the High King of the Seven Seas]].
* DeflectorShield: Has the ability to create a ''bolg''. [[CurbStompBattle It doesn't stand up to Masrur, Ja'far, and Sinbad's strength]].
* DevilInPlainSight
* EnigmaticMinion: [[ "I will cover this world... In darkness..."]]
* FallenHero: Was amongst the ones who eventually betrayed Solomon, and is a part of Al-Thamen as of ''Magi''.
* {{Gonk}}: Just his mask, though. Underneath he looks normal.
* {{Jerkass}}
* KilledOffForReal
* ManipulativeBastard: At the end of his time in Balbadd, he laments that such a good place for raising hatred and despair has been saved by our heroes. He smirks and just says he should look for another country to ruin. In other words, he fully acknowledges that what Al-Thamen does is just evil. And he likes it.
* OhCrap: Gets an awesome one when he sees Sinbad in Djinn equip charging an attack.
* PermaStubble: Under the mask.
* PerpetualSmiler: Until the very end.

* AffablyEvil: Until his last encounter with Aladdin, where his calm demeanour falls.
* AnimeHair: His hair looks like cat ears.
* BeardOfEvil
* BigBrotherInstinct: Towards Setta. He even gave half of his life to save him when they were children.
* {{Bishonen}}: Surprisingly, when he takes off his mask.
* BlackMage
* BlondGuysAreEvil: In the manga.
* BrutalHonesty: At least in his younger years, openly calling Sheba out for her indoctrination and Ugo for not doing anything on combat.
* ChekhovsGunman: Introduced as an arc villain affiliated with Al-Thamen, but only some time after [[spoiler:his death]] is he revealed to have been involved in quite a few sinister affairs. Among others, he is indirectly responsible for Magnostadt's manufacturing of Dark Djinn.
* CoolMask
* TheCorrupter: To Dunya, to who he acts like a sort of mentor.
* {{Curse}}: Puts one on Sinbad [[spoiler: who is already "cursed",]] and Alibaba.
* CynicismCatalyst: [[spoiler:Setta's death.]]
* DidntSeeThatComing: He certainly didn't expect [[spoiler:Sinbad to be half-corrupted and able to overcome his curse]].
* DiedHappilyEverAfter: After Aladdin purified his Rukh, he asked Solomon for forgiveness and he was able to return to the White Rukh's Great Flow.
* ElementalPowers
* FallenHero: Was originally not only an ally but one of Solomon's closest friends.

* FreudianExcuse
* HellishPupils: Has snake-like eyes in the close-ups.
* InTheHood: His curse form, while being inside Alibaba.

* NakedOnRevival: After coming out from Hakuryuu's arm.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Appears again after being decapitated by Alibaba in Sindria, then goes on to inflict curses on him and Sinbad.
* ObliviousToLove: He couldn't see that the ''obvious'' reason of Sheba's jealousy towards Arba was because she had a crush on Solomon and envied their relationship.

** Yet he doesn't seem to care when Ugo does.
* StatusBuff: By using his lightning magic on Dunya and Isaac, he can enhance their magnetism powers.
* StrikeMeDownWithAllOfYourHatred: In the anime, he encourages Alibaba to kill him since he's the reason for everything: Balbadd's civil war and fragile situation, [[spoiler:Cassim's death]], his curse, and Sindria being forced into a war with Al-Thamen. Alibaba does it and all of Ithnan's black Rukh empowers Alibaba's curse, and makes him fall into depravity.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Ugo, back in Alma Torran.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: With Ugo and Solomon, back in Alma Torran.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Has green hair in the anime.

* DarkActionGirl: She certainly gives Aladdin and Alibaba a run for their money.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She watched all her family and [[spoiler: Isaac]] die, cursed her fate by falling into depravity, and became a member of Al-Thamen.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Towards Aladdin. He was the only one she allowed herself to trust since he allowed her to see Isaac once again and did enjoy his company. * WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Her backstory is tragic ''indeed''.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Well, aqua-green anyway. In the anime, in the manga her hair is colored light blue.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: In the anime, Ithnan almost kills her when she failed to kill Aladdin and co with her extreme magic, and drained her Magoi. Subverted, since her Rukh revealed her backstory to Alibaba, allowing him to sympathize with her; thus making it much easier for Ithnan manipulate Alibaba and then have him fall into depravity.

[[TheMagocracy A country now ruled by magicians]], it was formerly known as the "Musta'sim Kingdom". It once had an elaborate WizardingSchool, but when the magicians decided they were no longer just the royal family's tools, they revolted and overthrew the kingdom. Now they are one of the major powers of the world, [[TownWithADarkSecret but not all is as it seems.]] Princess Dunya Musta'sim was once part of the royal family. Yamraiha studied there as a child and the Chancellor was her adoptive father.

!'''Sphintus Carmen'''

Aladdin's classmate and roommate at the Magic Academy, and the heir of an impoverished, noble family from Heliohapt.

->Voiced by: Creator/RyotaOhsaka (Japanese), Bobby Thong (English)
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Subverted. Like Sharrkan, he comes from Heliohapt, the FantasyCounterpartCulture to Ancient Egypt, so his dark skin is justified.
* BigBrotherMentor: When he's not making disparaging remarks, he acts very mentor-like towards Aladdin and Titus. Comes with the territory of being older than them.
* BlueBlood: He's a member of a noble family that used to serve the royal family of his country.

* TheMedic: And a particularly skilled one.
* MysticalWhiteHair: He has white hair, and he's a magician.
* OneNoteCook: Surprisingly for a member of royalty, he's able to cook. Less surprisingly, he's just able to cook his specialty.
* RedMage: He knows a bit of magic besides Healing magic.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: He's the youngest child of one of Heliohapt's noble families who left his country to train himself as a mage. He eventually took a supporting role in Magnostadt's war with Reim.
* SmokingIsCool: He smokes what appears to be a [[ Midwakh]], and he looks [[ damn fine]] while he's at it. This was removed from the anime.
* SupremeChef: When it's his speciality.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Sphintus basically became the new Alibaba for Aladdin while he was in Magnostadt.
* UncattyResemblance: Between him and Kukulcan somewhat.

!'''Titus Alexius'''

One of Aladdin's classmates at the Magic Academy, originally from the Reim Empire. With Aladdin, he is the top student at the school, and also like Aladdin, was sent on a mission to find the "abnormalities" of Magnostadt. [[spoiler:He is working under the Magi Scheherazade. Later, he succeeds her position]].

->Voiced by: Creator/YoshitsuguMatsuoka (Japanese), Creator/JohnnyYongBosch (English)

* AllLovingHero
* ArtificialHuman
* BackFromTheDead: He eventually decided to use all of his Magoi in a HeroicSacrifice, but he is resurrected courtesy of Solomon and Scheherazade, and comes back as a Magi.
* BeautyMark
* BerserkButton: Mistaking him for a girl. Or messing with [[MoralityPet Marga]].
* BigBrotherInstinct: Towards Marga.
* BlackMage
* BraidsOfAction
* BrokenAce: He's a genius magician, but had serious issues due to the fact that he's [[spoiler:an ArtificialHuman with a short lifespan and only a finite amount of Magoi]].
* CameBackStrong: When he comes back, ''it's as a Magi''--meaning unlimited Magoi and a natural lifespan.
* CloneDegeneration: The real reason as to why Scheherazade is unable to prolong his lifespan.
* CloningBlues
* CuteAndPsycho: Has a few shades of it. First shown with his attacking Aladdin from panic when he saw the gems on his wrists. And later he became increasingly unstable from jealousy toward Aladdin and the others, due to the fact that [[spoiler:they'll live on while he won't]].
* DisneyDeath: Scheherazade allowed his ego to be reincarnated as the next Magi, rather than herself.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: He's so girly-looking that Aladdin actually gropes his chest to confirm if he's really a guy when they first meet. His feminine appearance starts to make a lot of sense when he's revealed to be [[spoiler:an OppositeSexClone of Scheherazade]].
* ElementalPowers: Comes with being a magician.
** GravityMaster: And with this, he can achieve {{Flight}}.
** LightEmUp: Created a shield of light magic to protect Marga.
* ExpendableClone: Scheherazade sees no reason to keep Titus alive after he is done spying for her. Subverted since it's later revealed she really desires for Titus to live, but due to the fact that Scheherazade's real body is dying neither her recent clone nor Titus have much time left.
* FaceHeelTurn: Somewhat. Mogamett promises to him supply him with Magoi to keep his existence, but as long as he fights to protect Magnostadt against the Reim Empire; ergo, his original country, his people and Scheherazade. [[spoiler:Then he learns that the original Scheherazade will soon die and when that happens all her clones (including him) will perish as well anyway]].
* FallenHero: For a while, [[spoiler:before his HeroicSacrifice]].
* GhostMemory: [[spoiler:When Scheherazade has him reincarnated, he gains her memories.]]
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold:
* HeroicSacrifice: Instead of waiting peacefully for his short life to end while all hell breaks loose, he is inspired by Marga to use the rest of his power (and his life) to help fix things up. Although his Magoi ends up being used to fuel Al-Thamen's father and unleashed it upon the world and Mogamett who he was finally able to free from his own hatred ends up dying at the Father's hands seconds later, this sacrifice eventually let Mogamett disrupt the Medium since he was the center that controlled it. Titus is later resurrected courtesy of Solomon and Scheherazade.
* AHeroIsBorn: As of Chapter 198, where it's revealed that [[BigGood King Solomon is still very much active behind the scenes, can choose where the next Magi reincarnates, and can do so immediately. He could have even sent Scheherazade back using one of her clones, but she insisted that Titus be the one]].
* KindHeartedCatLover: His hobby is playing with cats.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: Rare male example. He fits this trope because of his appearance and personality.
* [[LikeASonToMe Like A Mother To Me:]] Just like Scheherezade thinks of him as her son, Titus views Scheherezade as his mother. [[spoiler: Since he is her clone, he could technically be considered as her child.]]
* LikeYouWereDying
* MasterOfIllusion
* MundaneObjectAmazement: "A baby! A mother! A cat!" [[spoiler:It becomes [[FridgeHorror extremely saddening when you realize he really was discovering all of this for the first time]], due to his status as an ArtificialHuman who will only live for [[YourDaysAreNumbered a month longer]], at most]].
* OppositeSexClone: He's one of Scheherazade's clones created from her rukh, but he has the body of a man. He's rather self-conscious about it and gets angry when people remark his feminine appearance.
* PinocchioSyndrome: He doesn't want to die yet, so he's trying to found a way to get supplies of Magoi from a different source besides Scheherazade, and be able to live a normal life.
* PrincelyYoungMan
* RapunzelHair: After inheriting Scheherazade's role as a Magi.
* TheRival: To Aladdin.
* RobeAndWizardHat
* RoyalRapier: Uses one as a MagicWand.
* StrippedToTheBone: After using the last of his power to stop the Magoi furnace and purify Mogamett, all that's left of him is a skeleton.
* {{Tykebomb}}: Scheherazade created him for the sole purpose of sending a dependable magician to find the abnormalities of Magnostadt.
* UnwantedRescue: [[spoiler:Scheherazade]], he's not a hostage.
* TheWorldIsJustAwesome: [[spoiler: Well he is just a year old.]]
* YourDaysAreNumbered: Because Scheherazade [[ArtificialHuman created him, she only supplies him with enough Magoi to live long enough to complete his goal. But the truth is that neither Titus nor Scheherazade have much time left to live, as her real body is dying.]]

!'''Matal Mogamett'''

Chancellor of the Magnostadt Magic Academy. May be behind the "abnormalities" in Magnostadt, especially because he helped depose the Musta'sim Royal Family, but also seems to be a nice person.

->Voiced by: Creator/YuichiNagashima (Japanese), Steve Kramer (English)
* AlliterativeName
* AntiVillain: Not a bad guy, just really, really ''really'' racist.
* TheAtoner: Because he knows there is no current way to save the people he had allowed to fall into depravity to fuel the medium, he decides to remain with them to atone rather than rejoin the white Rukh.
* BadassBeard: Can't be the leader of a WizardSchool without one.
* BecameTheirOwnAntiThesis: Who does he want to protect? [[ The answer has changed with time.]]
* BenevolentMageRuler: Though he claims to only be the director of the Academy, but it's very clear that he's in charge of Magnostadt. Actually not so benevolent, as we find out.
* CoolOldGuy: To other Magicians, anyway.
* CourtMage: At first, until his daughter's death.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: In his youth he had purple hair to match his PurpleEyes.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His wife died from magic overuse many years ago, forced by the Musta'sim Royal Family to serve the people with the other magicians. His daughter died during a war with the Parthevia Empire, beginning his StartOfDarkness.
* DespairEventHorizon: With the death of so many magicians in the war with Reim, he's fallen into depravity and no longer wishes to protect the [[{{Muggles}} Goi]] and only desires to protect the magicians.
* DotingParent: He was this towards both his biological daughter Sana and his adoptive daughter Yamraiha. He also behaves like this towards all [[AFatherToHisMen the magicians]], no matter what he'll always forgive them. WordOfGod claims that this is not a good parental trait.
* EvilChancellor: To King Musta'sim.
* FacialMarkings: Has some pretty extreme "freckles" that (ironically, given his view that as a magician he's better than non-magicians, who are lower than animals) make him look reptilian.
* AFatherToHisMen: He acts as a paternal figure to all the magicians.
* FreudianExcuse: Treats {{Muggle}}s as cattle because their greed and stupidity resulted in the deaths of his wife and daughter.
* GagNose
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: His belief. For overusing her magic to help the Goi, his wife died and for fighting until exhaustion for the Royal Family, his daughter died; so you can see why.
* IWasQuiteALooker: Could you believe Mogamett was [[ this handsome?]]
* KickTheDog: Kicks some children that wanted to go to the surface with Marga, a sick little girl Aladdin and Titus befriend among the 200,000 muggles powering Magnostadt's magical tools.
* KilledOffForReal: Became a charred corpse after coming into contact with the Medium once it emerged from the other side of the tunnel.
* KnightTemplar: Unleashing '''three''' [[EldritchAbomination Dark Djinn...]]
* MagicStaff
* MugglePower: Gets [[HumanResources power from muggles and from his perspective all non-magicians are grotesque. He lets Titus take Marga to the surface because in his eyes she's no better than a stray kitten, and even uses words normally used for animals when talking about her]].
* PapaWolf: To him, all magicians are his children, no matter who, or even WHAT, they are and it doesn't matter who he makes his enemy, he will protect them till his last breath.
* ParentalSubstitute: Though, he considers all magicians as his children, he was this especially to Yamraiha.
* PetTheDog:
** He hates the [[{{Muggles}} Goi]] with [[FantasticRacism an unhealthy fervour]], [[PapaWolf he would protect his students with that same fervour]].
** In later chapters, he states that ''everyone'' [[AFatherToHisMen inside Magnostadt will be under his protection,]] magician or not, until [[DespairEventHorizon the death of many magicians]] made him reconsider.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: He seems fine with Aladdin and the others going down to the 5th Authorization District even when they aren't supposed to, but something's definitely up with him.
** If one is a magician, he's ready to forgive and forget; anyone else, though, is screwed.
* RobeAndWizardHat
* SocialDarwinist: Believes that magicians are inherently superior in every way to the [[{{Muggle}} Goi. He doesn't even consider the "Goi" as human beings]].
* WizardBeard

* HotBlooded
* HotTeacher: So much that...
** HotForTeacher: Aladdin really only passes her class, because he was reinvigorated every time he saw her...boobs.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She can be a bit of a bitch and her training methods are extremely brutal, and she has nothing but scorn for those who drop out of her training. However, she gives her full respect to those who have the guts to see it through to the end, and she is proud like a mother is proud when her students do well, especially in Aladdin's case.

* LadyOfWar
* LetsGetDangerous: In Chapter 168.

* TheNotLoveInterest: She helps Titus come to terms with himself. Though it seems she has plans to change the 'not' part in about ten years.
* PrecociousCrush: Implied towards Titus.
* WiseBeyondHerYears: Acknowledged by Titus as such after she gives him a speech about how she would prefer to give her life fighting to keep save this "sparkling world" Titus has opened to her than have stayed in the 5th district, waiting her life to fade without achieve any of her dreams since such a life is no better than being dead. [[folder: Reim Empire]]
An Empire to the west fashioned after the [[AncientRome Roman Empire]].

The Magi of the Reim Empire. She is responsible for its continued prosperity, and is well over 200-years-old.

->Voiced by: Creator/MaayaSakamoto (Japanese), Creator/StephanieSheh (English)
* BarrierMaiden: Protected ''her whole naval army and a large part of Magnostadt'' from the black Djinns with her bolg. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, she was defeated by the Medium]].
* BeautyMark
* BraidsOfAction: Like the other three Magi.
* CloneDegeneration: All her clones have a youthful appearance, but die after more or less 10 years after their "birth".
* CourtMage: The High Priestess of the Reim Empire.
* CryCute[=/=]TenderTears: [[spoiler: When she has to inform Titus that, despite her wish for him to have a long life, he too will die when she does, since he is a clone made from her Rukh.]]
* DramaticEllipsis: Always speaks... this... way...except when giving orders to the army.
* ExpendableClone: She's implied to kill off her clones when they get too old to keep up the appearance of eternal youth. [[spoiler:Subverted since it's later revealed to be a case of CloneDegeneration]].
* EyesAlwaysShut: Subverted since once in a while she open them when she wants to put emphasis on something or things start going horrible wrong.
* FriendToBugs: WordOfGod revealed that she likes bugs.
* GoOutWithASmile
* GoodIsNotSoft: She is a benevolent ruler towards Reim, with a naturally kind disposition to those that she meets, but she still bears the responsibility of ruling a country, which requires a fair bit of ruthlessness. She will take any chance she gets to expand her empire, regardless of how [[MyCountryRightOrWrong ruthless the methods. She'll send spies to look for other countries' weaknesses in peacetime, and create clones of herself to keep an iron-fisted grip on control of Reim]].
* HairDecorations: Has leaves and berries in her hair in an arrangement in the style of the Romans.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She really is a good person, even if she is a bit heavy handed and doesn't have a lot of patience.
* HeroicSacrifice: Her current clone releases all the Magoi in her body to give it to the exhausted Alibaba and Kou royals.

Titus is then [[BackFromTheDead resurrected]] as the new [[CameBackStrong Magi of Reim]]]].
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Apparently, she had a similar relationship and adventures with the first king of Reim, to what Aladdin and Alibaba have now.
* HumansAreSpecial: She knows that humans, with hard work and faith in themselves, can do incredible things; [[HumansAreFlawed they make mistakes and stray from the right path sometimes]], but if they're brave enough they can learn from their mistakes and can continue living. That's why, even though she's a Magi, she never uses her magic in Reim's wars, instead just supporting, motivating and having faith in her people, since she knows that Reim must stand on its own feet. However, in her talk with Aladdin and Titus, she realizes her errors and that she shouldn't turned a blind eye to the Empire's more dubious actions such as slavery, regardless of her own desire for Reim to stand on its own.

* MamaBear: She views all of Reim as her protectorate, thinking of it as her own child. And she ''will'' protect the Reim Empire, at all costs.
** She's ''furious'' when she realized that [[spoiler:Al-Thamen's father turned Titus' sacrifice into a food source for itself]].
** In an [[ extra]], Titus tells her that Aladdin promised to take him and Sphintus to a brothel. She ends up ''[[NotSoStoic shouting]]'' at Aladdin to not take Titus to those "strange places".
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Her love for Reim turned her delusional, seeing the country as her only priority. She forsook the whole world and turned a blind eye to its innocent foreign slaves.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: By forcing [[WizardingSchool Magnostadt]] to try to fight against the [[TheEmpire Kou Empire]], Magnostadt wages war on Reim instead.
** Her early callous disregard for her [[CloningBlues clone's (Titus)]] new-found love for life and demanding Titus' return to her causes Titus to rebel by siding with Magnostadt, and also earning the ire of the school's founder and country's leader Mogamett, who protects all his students (Titus included), with extraordinary zeal.
* TheParagon: Her philosophy regarding normal humans is that they should learn to support themselves and one another instead of relying on magic, which directly contrasts with that of Mogamett.
* ParentalSubstitute: To Titus [[spoiler: one of her clones, who has a mind of his own]]. He considers her as much his mother as she considers him her son.
* PetTheDog: She does care for Titus in her own way.
** The reason why she does not want Reim to rely on magic or metal vessels, is because she wants them to be able to stand on their own.
** [[spoiler:She ended the war between Reim and Magnostadt after a chat with Aladdin, and allowed Titus to spend his last month of life with his friends]].
* PsychicLink: With [[OppositeSexClone Titus]], which allows her to take control of his body for a short time.
* PurelyAestheticGender: A special chapter has her say that Magi don't really consider themselves to be male or female. She is rather shocked when Titus tells her about Aladdin's love of women.
* RapunzelHair: It drags out on the ground, though she herself is not very tall.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She has been supporting the Reim Empire for over 200 years, but still has the appearance of a young girl. [[spoiler:It later turns out that her body is actually a clone like Titus, and that her real body is so ancient that it can no longer move on its own]].
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only female Magi [[spoiler:of this era]].
* TheStoic
** NotSoStoic: She lost her cool after seeing Mogamett's mechas kill many of Reim's soldiers with a energy blast.
* SugarAndIcePersonality
* SupportingLeader: Leads Reim's army from far away, but nothing else beyond that, as she doesn't want them to always rely on her but rather use their own strength.
* TechnicalPacifist
* TokenMiniMoe
* WellIntentionedExtremist
* WhenSheSmiles: It's a sight to behold!
* WhiteMage: She doesn't seem to have very much offensive magic, but her bolg is second to none.
* WhiteMagicianGirl
* WomanInWhite
* YourDaysAreNumbered: The real Scheherazade will die in a month at best, meaning all her clones will die alongside with her as they were made out of her Rukh.
* YouRemindMeOfX: Aladdin and Alibaba remind her of herself, and her first king from long ago.

!'''Muu Alexius'''

A half-blood Fanalis and leader of the Reim Empire's Fanalis Army Corps. He is also one of Reim's three Dungeon Capturers, having captured the 8th Dungeon, Barbatos, the Djinn of Hunting and Nobility.

->Voiced by: Creator/MamoruMiyano (Japanese), Ben Pronsky (English)
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: A Dungeon Capturer and the strongest of the Fanalis Army Corps.
** His forte isn't actually sheer strength because, as a half-blood, he's physically weaker than most of his own Corps. What makes him the strongest is that he has a metal vessel.
* BarbarianLonghair
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Though he's really nice to everyone by default, if you threaten Scheherazade or Reim in any way, look out.
* BigBrotherMentor: Just like his sister seems to be set to become Morgiana's CoolBigSis, Muu seems to be falling into this position in his relationship with the young Fanalis. Muu is not only the one that tells Morgiana about their homeland, specifically saying that he should have told her before; but that the fact that he didn't tell her, was because he was worried about her reaction once she learned the truth.
* BlueBlood: He is part of one of Reim's noble families.
* BodyguardCrush: Has one on Scheherazade.
* BrotherSisterTeam: With Myron.
* TheCaptain: Of the Fanalis Army Corps.
* TheChampion: Wants to be Scheherazade's. And now, [[spoiler:after her death]] he kinda is. [[ He'll now continue protecting Reim from ever getting into the hands of other countries.]]
* CoolSword: It's his metal vessel.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows
* DarkSkinnedBlond: In his Djinn Equip.
* DeathGlare: When you see Muu's face with one of this instead of his happy-go-lucky smile, [[LetsGetDangerous you know he's being serious.]] [[PetTheDog Scheherazade prefers his smile]].
* ExplosiveOverclocking: Because of his low magoi he's unable to use his Djinn Equip for more than a couple of minutes without getting completely drained but his speed and strength are enough to [[PersonOfMassDestruction destroy a city]].
* FamousAncestor: He inherited the blood from the first King candidate Scheherazade chose, Pernadius Alexius.
* HalfHumanHybrid
* TheHeart: To the Fanalis Army Corps.
* HeroicBuild
* {{Hunk}}
* KickTheDog: Gives a BreakingSpeech to [[PinocchioSyndrome Titus]] about him being an aberration that, if it weren't for Scheherazade, wouldn't have existed in the first place, and how he has lost his path as Scheherazade's pawn for thinking that he had worth as a unique person.
* TheKirk: As part of a FreudianTrio with Myron and Lo'lo. He always has to get involved in their fights and try to make them get along.
* LadyAndKnight: Knight to Scheherazade's Lady.
* LikesOlderWomen: According to the ''Magi Illustrated Encyclopedia" his type are ''older women''...
* MasterSwordsman
* NiceGuy
* PerpetualSmiler: Almost always has a friendly and good natured smile on his face.
* PetTheDog: Oddly enough just before his BreakThemByTalking speech, when a desperate Titus tells Muu that he has made friends that he cherishes, Muu genuinely congratulates the other boy for this with his normal friendliness in the middle of battle. And later looks pretty solemn after seeing Titus' HeroicBSOD reaction from hearing this, clearly taking absolutely no pleasure in stating such things. [[spoiler: Taking into account what we later find out about the Fanalis' real form, it does seem that Muu and the Fanalis may feel sympathetic towards Titus, since they aren't really humans.]]
* ProngsOfPoseidon: His sword turns in one as it is Barbatos' weapon.
* RapunzelHair: That one illustration of him with Masrur and Morgiana gives him hair that reaches his knees.
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* RedHeadedHero: As he's a Fanalis.
* [[spoiler:SealedInsideAPersonShapedCan: He is who reveals to Morgiana the truth behind the Fanalis' homeland, that is the fact that their real form is not a humanoid one. They are actually Red Lions, a powerful species from Alma Torran.]]
* StatusBuff: His Djinn's strength magic gives him and his corps an UpToEleven boost in strength and speed. [[OhCrap Considering how strong and fast the Fanalis were to begin with]]...
* SubmissiveBadass
* UndyingLoyalty: To Scheherazade. WordOfGod said that it was his fate since he was born as he is a descendant of Pernadius, Scheherazade's first king.
* WhiteSheep: Of all of the Fanalis we've seen so far, he's the only one with the disposition and magoi of a king candidate, albeit he's not a pureblood Fanalis. This is all the more obvious by the way he's attracted the Fanalis Corps, who are loyal only to him.

!'''Nerva Julius Caluades'''
Son of the Reim Emperor and conqueror of the 44th dungeon, Shax.

->Voiced by: Hiroki Matsukawa
* {{Gonk}}
* HairDecorations: Keeping with the Roman theme.
* KickTheDog: When he refers to the Fanalis Corps as "slave proteges".
* NonActionGuy: Unlike Koumei, who's just BrilliantButLazy, Nerva can't even use Djinn Equip yet.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Though he hasn't exhibited any action yet, he has to have some {{Badass}} qualities to have a metal vessel.
* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl

!'''Ignatius Alexius'''
Supreme Commander of the Reim Empire's army and conqueror of the 20th dungeon, Purson.

* TheStoic

!'''Lo'lo' '''

A member of the Fanalis Army Corps. He claims that he doesn't really care for the Reim Empire and is loyal to Muu alone, unsurprisingly he is part of his household.

->Voiced by: Creator/KisshoTaniyama (Japanese), Joshua Tomar (English)
* AxCrazy
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Myron.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Lo'lo' has a little sister and he took the time to [[ take her to the Dark Continent]] because she wanted to see their homeland.
* BloodKnight: To the point Myron thinks he [[RagingStiffie got a boner]] when finally fighting to his heart's content.
* BraidsOfAction
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows
* FieryRedhead
* GlasgowGrin: Part of his cheek is missing, giving him a permanent one of these.
* HalfBreedDiscrimination: Towards Myron, though surprisingly not Muu.
** He most likely refers to her half-breed status just to [[BelligerentSexualTension annoy her]].
* {{Hunk}}
* TheMcCoy: His part in the FreudianTrio between him, Muu and Myron.
* RedEyesTakeWarning

* {{Bokukko}}
* BoobsOfSteel
* BreastPlate
* BrotherSisterTeam: With Muu.

* CryCute: When she is worried about the Muu and Lo'lo', who are wounded, and tells them to not keep fighting.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows
* EtiquetteNazi: Though she herself isn't very good at being ''naturally'' elegant, she would always be concerned over other people's manners.
* FamousAncestor: She inherited the blood from the first King candidate Scheherazade chose, Pernadius Alexius.
* FashionableAsymmetry
* FemininityFailure: Her attempts at being a graceful lady will always seem forced and she normally snaps out of stress, sabotaging herself.
* FieryRedhead: She tries to keep her cool outside (and even inside) the battlefield, but Lo'lo makes the fire come to life.
* HalfBreedDiscrimination: [[FantasticRacism Inverted]]. She considers Lo'lo' a [[BloodKnight "muscle brained" savage]] for being a full blood Fanalis.
* HalfHumanHybrid
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: How she reacted to Morgiana, as seen [[ here.]]
* KickChick: Of the [[EverythingsBetterWithSpinning spinning kick]] kind.

->Voiced by: Creator/KanaAsumi (Japanese), Creator/CheramiLeigh (English)
* ActionGirl: She's a gladiator and loves it--'nuff said.
* {{Ahoge}}
* AloofDarkHairedGirl
* BareYourMidriff: In the anime.
* BattleCouple: She and Olba fell in love while fighting pirates.
* BetaCouple: She and Olba function as a sort of this when contrasted with Alibaba and Morgiana's ''[[WillTheyOrWontThey relationship]]''.
* BirdsOfAFeather: She and Olba fell in love while proclaiming their strong desire to protect Alibaba and the admiration they have towards him. Even, they share the single familiar that powers their household vessels.
* {{BFS}}: [[spoiler: It becomes her Household Vessel.]]
* BoobsOfSteel: She's quite... stacked in that department, and she's quite capable of kicking butt.
* ChainmailBikini: Not a 'proper one', since it is an armored breastplate, but it'll do.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Due to Magoi Manipulation.
* TheComicallySerious
* CoolBigSis: She behaves this way with Morgiana, since there's not many women among the gladiators and she's excited to talk with another girl who is as strong as she is.
* DefeatByModesty: Alibaba defeats her in their duel by cutting the straps of her breastplate, leaving her half naked and too embarrassed to continue.
* FeminineWomenCanCook: In one Omake, Alibaba founds that Toto is actually good wife material after tasting her food; well, except for the whole burly violent girl thing.

[[folder:Artemyra Kingdom]]

Artemyra is a small matriarchal country and part of the Seven Seas Alliance. It's located in the middle of the Unexplored Region or in southeastern area of the continent. * LadyLand[=/=]{{Matriarchy}}: She effectively reigns as the queen of one of these.

* WomanScorned: She calls Kouen a "cheater" because he already has three Djinn and reminds herself she swore to never fall in love with playboys like him. When chanting his Extreme Magic, Kouha says that his enemies will "disappear under the queen's ''crushing grief''."
-->'''Kouha:''' "You look like someone who was just ditched by her man."
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Kouha was ready to be a household vessel user but she saw he was better than that just by seeing his army's eyes full of UndyingLoyalty. She recognized nobody would choose Kouha as king, but if he could earn the loyalty of his army, he was worthy of her power.
* YourMakeUpIsRunning: After noticing how Kouen already has three Djinn and recalling she hates playboys, she starts crying because she still founds him attractive.
-->'''Kouha:''' "What's that? You pervy Djinn. Your make-up looks shitty."

* AnIcePerson
* PettingZooPeople: He looks like a large wolf.
* SizeShifter[=/=]SleepModeSize: Similarly to Agares, he constantly alternates between a huge wolf, to a smaller jackal/cat form.

The Djinn of Truth and Conviction and Hakuryuu's second Djinn.

[[folder:Alma Torran]]
The world that had been ruled by King Solomon in the past and where the Djinn had all once been humans. Due to a catastrophic war there, all life was eventually destroyed.
* TheAtoner: Solomon and his vassals had all helped power the mind-altering towers in the past. But now they seek to destroy all these towers, and whisk away the avatars of the divine staves, in order to atone for all of their sins.
* BadassCrew: They are all powerful Magicians.
* DefectorFromDecadence: After they learn what terrible things that the humans have been doing to all the other sentient species.
* DownerEnding: Despite the EveryoneDies ending already well known before the beginning of the Alma Torran Arc, the end of Alma Torran is still incredibly tragic.
* FateWorseThanDeath: The non-human species suffering under mind control, are reduced to rage-filled, mindless monsters incapable of differentiating friend from enemy. They all have MindControlEyes, and attack anything around them, including each other, whilst BrainWashedAndCrazy.
* ForegoneConclusion: It's well-known from the beginning that regardless of the good things that happen in the flashback, everything will go to hell for Alma Torran. We even know who will be among the ones to betray Solomon, though not why.
* FreudianTrio: The first three Magi. [[spoiler:Sheba as the overworked Superego who believes in Solomon's actions and tries to enforce peace to honor his sacrifice, Arba as the cynical Id, who ended betraying Solomon in favor of her devotion to Ill Ilah; and Ugo as the conflicted Ego, trapped between his loyalty to Solomon and his fears for the changes which Solomon made.]]
* HowWeGotHere: The whole Alma Torran arc is basically Aladdin narrating about its creation to its destruction, to all king vessels and their households; so that they'll know of how everything came to be.
* LaResistance: Fighting against the [[TheMagocracy Magician Orthodox]], who believing themselves the chosen of God, have enslaved all non-humans through mind control.
* MagicStaff: The staves work much the same way Djinn metal vessels work, but with no djinn.
* OfficialCouple: Wahid and Falan, who end up having a child, and later Solomon and Sheba.
* ThirdEye: They all have a third eye when they use magic. Chapter 220 reveals that their third eye receives magoi, which enables them to use their magic.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: Solomon and co. feel all sentient life is equal, not an idea that many other humans and magicians agree with.
* WizardsLiveLonger: The users of the divine staves are able to halt their ageing if they feel like it.
* YouAreTooLate: [[spoiler:The group manages to escape David's prison in just 15 minutes, to go and save everyone left at their base. Unfortunately, by the time they arrive; all they find is their base reduced to ashes, and all the dead civilians along with Tess and Setta's horribly burned corpses.]]

!'''King Solomon Jehoahaz Abraham'''
[[caption-width-right:166:[[labelnote:Click here to see Solomon's face (a major spoiler).]]]][[/labelnote]]

The king of Alma Torran and the leader of LaResistance in his youth. He's related in some way to Aladdin.

->Voiced by: Hidemitsu Shimizu (Japanese)
* AbstractApotheosis: He practically became Free Will, as White Rukh is in opposition to Ill Ilah's Black Rukh and its destiny.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Blue hair in the manga, black hair in the anime.
* AllLovingHero: The original one.
* AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence: He literally became the White Rukh, aka Solomon's will.
* AsleepForDays: After the battle against his father, he slept for two days straight.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: A powerful magician who was able to unify the many species in Alma Torran.
* TheAtoner: He deserves special credit because ''his father'' is the one who created the mind-altering towers. Solomon thus believes himself to be responsible for freeing the non-human species from their 500 years of enslavement.
* BadassBookworm: Always seen with a book in his hands when not fighting.
* BattleCouple: With Sheba.
* BigDamnHeroes
* BigGood: The original one.
* {{Bishonen}}
* BraidsOfAction: A long, single braid in his young days.
* BrokenPedestal: Several of his former comrades react badly when they find out [[spoiler:how he supplanted Ill Ilah and shared the Rukh with everyone]]. They believe that by imposing his will upon them in such a way, that he's now no different from his tyrannical father David.
* BroodingBoyGentleGirl: The brooding boy to Sheba's gentle girl. She is able to see when he's really hurting inside and, unlike even Arba or Ugo who agreed to mind their place; she promised to be his equal, something Solomon desperately wants.
* BrutalHonesty: Told to Sheba, right in her face, that she was a despicable woman and, that in his eyes, she's a worse monster compared to the other species she looks down at. Although his opinion of her got better, when he later observed Sheba playing with a manticore and genuinely having fun. When she had a HeelRealization and understood the extent of suffering her magic caused to her manticore friend, he declared that he likes her now.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:He and Arba are technically siblings and they seemed to be really close. At the end, Arba becomes his ultimate enemy and decides to destroy his "fake world".]]
* CelibateHero: He's too focused in the rebellion to pay attention to Sheba's feelings for him, but also he subconsciously considers himself unworthy of being loved and keeps himself away from that topic. Subverted in Chapter 225, when he finds himself in a growing relationship with Sheba and, later on, gets her pregnant.
* TheChainsOfCommanding: He had to renounce his beliefs and convictions, for the sake of being a strong leader to the people.
* ComeWithMeIfYouWantToLive: Tells Sheba this the first time they meet.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: His hair and eyes are blue.
* DeathOfPersonality: After his soul became the White Rukh itself, his physical body became an aged shell of his former self that only talks about equality and is unresponsive to even Sheba. [[spoiler: He gets better in time for the final battle with Arba.]]
* DisappearedDad: He became the White Rukh, leaving behind the pregnant Sheba and never getting to meet his son Aladdin.
* DontCallMeSir:
** He dislikes it when Arba calls him "young master" and has told her countless times to quit it. He especially wants her to stop treating him as someone above her, because she has known him his whole life and the one he wants to hold his MoralityChain.
** He also tells Sheba she doesn't need to be especially respectful towards him, just because of being the son of the ruler of the Magician Orthodox.
* DrunkWithPower: Being the central pillar of LaResistance and the one people look up with awe and hope in their eyes, he's ''afraid'' that he could become this; like his father, who holds the Magician Orthodox's hearts in his hands and went all AGodIAm.
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: Starts to let his hair loose after deciding to take the king role. [[spoiler:Notice that his Rukh form has the braid again, meaning that he's free of being something he didn't wanted to be and can be himself again.]]
* TheFaceless: At least while in his days as king. [[spoiler: When younger, he was identical to Aladdin.]]
* TheFourLoves: His philosophy is that if you can love others, you're worthy of living. Ironically, having experienced little to no love in his life; he craves it deep inside, but considers himself unworthy of it and says that its enough for him with just seeing those close by feeling it.
* TheGadfly: He goes around pressing people's {{Berserk Button}}s in hopes of finding someone that actually gets mad at him. Sheba turns out to be that person, and he often jokes about her growing BigEater tendencies and for using her pregnancy as an excuse.
* AGodIAmNot: He refuses to believe that his vast power makes him a god. Unfortunately, he's having trouble convincing the other species he liberates who keep trying to worship him.
* TheGoodKing: To Alma Torran.
* HairDecorations: Solomon and Arba wear a moon-shaped accessory on their foreheads.
* HeroicSacrifice
* HesBack: [[spoiler:During the battle against Al-Thamen, his body suddenly regains consciousness and he is able to lead the chiefs of the 72 species into combat.]]
* HopeBringer: Solomon has the uncanny ability to bring the better out of people, even those who hate themselves, and give them hope to become the very best that they can be.
* HotGod
* {{Hypocrite}}: He recognizes it. He goes around with his team and the other species, preaching about the importance of love in one's life; but he has no time or [[CelibateHero even interest]] in finding love for himself, whilst he has never had a loving relationship with his own father.
* IAmNotMyFather: His biggest fear is turning out like David. That the other species are practically worshipping him is just making him even more uneasy.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: All he wants is to be seen as an average, normal person, with flaws to not be ignored and have people trustful enough to tease him about them; not some god nor proxy nor even a king or ruler, who's alienated from the people below them.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: He confessed to Sheba that the real reason he ran away from home to start the revolution was because he wanted a world were he could have friends who didn't considered him as someone above them.
* ImprobableAge: Spearheaded the rebellion against the Magician Orthodox, and was the most powerful of all magicians, at around the age of just 12-15.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He often calls Sheba a brat. Though he does it as just a joke and to point out how she's the TagalongKid, he doesn't realize how much it hurts her.
* IntergenerationalFriendship:
** With Arba. He's in his teens (later early twenties) while she's around 100 years old and she's been his closest confidant and somewhat of a mother figure to him since he was a little kid. He considers her existence to be particularly important because of this.
** Also, with Ugo. They have being friends since Solomon was 12.
* InterspeciesFriendship: He and the Mother Dragon.
* JustAKid: He keeps treating Sheba as just the team's TagalongKid, even when she's already a 17 year old young woman, to her great dismay. At the end of Chapter 224, he declared that he would stop doing it after seeing how much she has matured and has learned of her own troubled past.
* KillTheGod
* LikeBrotherAndSister: He most likely feels this way about Arba. Since not only she has been with him all his life and acted as a sort of [[TeamMom mother figure]] to him, but given that Arba was created by David they could even be considered to be siblings.
* LonelyAtTheTop: While his friends try to cheer him up saying that he would be a great king, Solomon knows that now, no matter what he says or does, a line will be drawn between him and them, leaving him all alone atop a pedestal he never wanted to be on. Sheba sees this and promise to remain at his side, as his equal.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy
* MessianicArchetype: [[spoiler:His desire of giving to everybody freedom from Ill Ilah's destiny cost him his body and humanity.]]
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous
* NayTheist: He believes that Ill Ilah is really a mindless lump of power rather than a god. Notice that, whenever the group is praying to Ill Ilah for protection and victory, he's just smiling instead of actually praying.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: His sacrifice was to ensure everyone he loved was able to get the freedom to choose their own destiny instead of following that of Ill Ilah. Almost every magician misunderstood his actions as a way to enforce his own will over them and betrayed him, destroying everything he archived.
* NonIdleRich: Solomon was born to a noble family. Not that he cares; as he says that he is no longer a "young master", nor is Arba his servant.
* OfferedTheCrown: The people he liberated beg him to become their ruler, believing that this is the only way they won't fall prey to infighting.
* OneHeadTaller: Than Sheba.
* OverlyLongName: [[MeaningfulName Solomon Jehoahaz Abraham]].
* ParentalSubstitute: Wanted to be this for Sheba, since she reminded him of his younger self. When she starts to see him as something more, he's reluctant in giving up this attitude towards her, because he wants to be a better father than his own was.
* PatrickStewartSpeech: In Chapter 220. He gives a RousingSpeech to the other species about how love and the will of living for those they cherished made them equal to humanity.
* PhysicalGod: A magician so powerful that everybody started to look up to him as a god; something he utterly disliked.
* PuppetKing: Quite literally. Since Solomon's soul became the White Rukh, his physical body is nothing but a shell that can't rule over his people and try to make peace between the species and the rebellious magicians. Sheba has to now take his place as the leader and ruler, with Solomon only a figurehead.
* RapidAging: His body aged a few years older, with YoungFaceOldEyes, as so to emphasise that his soul is now gone.
* RapunzelHair
* RealityWarper: Thanks to Ugo's theories, he can literally bend the fabric of time and space and break the laws of physics. Of course, he's the only one powerful enough to use the theory in practice.
* RebelLeader
* RebelPrince: He's practically the prince of all magicians, yet he's defying the Magician Orthodox who are led by his own father, for the sake of the other species.
* ReluctantRuler: He only becomes king because everyone begged him to lead them.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: With Sheba. She always tries to get him out of the blues, by being as plucky and optimistic as she can be.
* ScrewDestiny: [[spoiler:After founding out how the Black Rukh actually leads to a destiny of suffering, his will became one with the Rukh to create free will and give it to all sentient life.]]
* SelectiveObliviousness: He knew very well about Sheba's feelings for him, but he turned a blind eye to it because of his own issues about having never been loved.
* SoullessShell
* StarCrossedLovers: With Sheba.
* StepfordSmiler: He had to bring himself into putting on a smile, when accepting that he had to become the only thing he was trying never to be: a king.
* StopWorshippingMe: He hates it when others worship him, because he's afraid it [[AGodAmI might go to his head]]. He even goes so far as to smash the statues they build in his honor.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: To his father. [[spoiler: And his son, Aladdin, looks just like a younger version of him.]]
* SuperEmpowering: Modified some staves, so that the other species' leaders were able to each use a specific kind of magic.
* SupportingLeader
* TeamDad: Of LaResistance. Sheba even said he and [[TeamMom Arba]] are like the dad and the mom of the team.
* TookALevelInKindness: Arba says that when he was a kid, he was an annoying and incompetent BrattyHalfPint who thought he was better and stronger than anyone. He eventually recognized that this was true, hence his change.
* TheXenophile: Solomon is fascinated with any non-human species' cultures, and thus he was like a child in a candyshop, when the manticores invited him and his group to spend the night within their underground city.
* WideEyedIdealist: All he longs for is a world were everybody can live as equals, but life and circumstances keep breaking his hopes of seeing his dream as a reality into pieces. When Ugo declares that the existence of Rukh makes all life equal, he seems clearly glad to know that everybody is indeed equal in some way after all.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair
* YouRemindMeOfX: He tells Sheba that she reminds him of his former self, so he wants to make sure she doesn't revert back to the way she was so she can go down the right path.

A little girl who was saved by Solomon when she was about to die from giving energy to a Mind-altering tower and the viewpoint character of the Alma Torran arc. At first, she's a fundamentalist who hates all non-human species, but eventually grows out of it and becomes a member of LaResistance and Solomon's worshipper and later, lover.

->Voiced by: Eimi Okada (Japanese)
* ActionGirl: Becomes one after the 5-year timeskip, thanks to becoming an active member of LaResistance and its third strongest magician.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Pink hair in the manga, black hair in the anime.
* {{Adorkable}}: Her constant and failed attempts at courting Solomon, asking him to go on a date with her, are all the proof you need.
* BadassAdorable: This cutie patootie can kick great amounts of ass.
* BarrierWarrior: Uses her powerful bolg for both offence and defence.
* BattleCouple: What she eventually becomes with Solomon.
* BerserkButton: Sheba will never forgive anyone who speaks or even thinks ill of Solomon. [[spoiler:This is one of the reasons she refused to hear the "requests" of the other magicians who would only talk about how "arrogant" was Solomon for replacing Ill Ilah and "taking control of their fate" when Solomon actually wanted to give them free will.]]
* BraidsOfAction: She has a long, single braid after the time skip. [[SincerestFormOfFlattery Surely, in a way to resemble Solomon]].
* BrattyHalfPint: Her fanatical ways can be quite annoying. Thank God she grew out of them.
* BroodingBoyGentleGirl: The gentle girl to Solomon's brooding boy. After realizing that Solomon is really broken from the alienation he has always had throughout his life, she's the only one that decides to be his equal. She also tries her best to be supportive and caring for him, but [[{{Tsundere}} without being a pushover and calling out his worst tracts]], thus doubling as the [[SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl energetic girl to his savvy guy]].
* ClingyJealousGirl: While she recognises that she and Solomon may never happen, she still wants to be as close to him as possible. She insisted to go with Solomon and Ugo to see the Mother Dragon, because [[GreenEyedMonster Arba already got the chance to go to see her with Solomon several times]].
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Pink hair with pink eyes.
* DeclarationOfProtection: After standing up for Solomon against some corrupt magicians of the resistance who were manipulating the Berserkers and Centaurus species into being suspicious of him, just for being his father's son; she declares that she believes in Solomon and will protect him no matter what.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Goes from cold and unsentimental fanatic to idealist and sweet cutie to brash revolutionary with a crush on her leader.
* DivineDate: With Solomon. In a way, since he started human and was his soul what became divine, while his body became kinda of a empty shell.
* DoggedNiceGirl: A type 2. Now that Arba has give her her blessing to be Solomon's love interest, Sheba now has the ''difficult'' task to make [[CelibateHero Solomon]] see her as more than just a child that he must take care of.
* EmptyEyes: They start to go away as she shows more emotion and even plays with a young manticore, something she wouldn't have ever considered during her initial appearance. They sometimes pop out from time to time, specially when facing something she doesn't agree with, like Solomon thinking Ill Ilah isn't truly a god. [[spoiler: She also has these by the time of Al-Thamen's rebellion, but they're as the result of her exhaustion, sadness and uncertainty.]]
* EveryoneCanSeeIt: Everyone (save Ithnan), could easily see how Sheba held a PrecociousCrush towards Solomon for the past 5 years and is jealous of Arba's relationship with him.
* ExpressiveHair: Her little hair horns droop and perk up depending on her mood.
* FantasticRacism: She hates all the non-human species who lived in Alma Torran. And anyone who sympathizes with them or [[TheFundamentalist does not agree with her]] is "impure". When playing with a young manticore, however, she begins to show traces of changing her stance towards the non-human species. Later on, she realized and admitted to herself that the only reason she hated them was because she was afraid of them.
* FlowerInHerHair: After a young manticore gives her a giant flower as an apology for almost attacking her in their first meeting, and wants her to wear it in her hair. Amusingly, the flower is too heavy for her, but the manticore was happy with her trying to do it anyway.
* FreudianExcuse: The main reason behind her FantasticRacism seems to be mostly due to the fact that it was indoctrinated in her at an early age by her church, and so this made her fear and enslave them in compensation. She shows immense confusion when the manticore tribe weren't behaving as she was taught they would.
* TheFundamentalist: Played with. She considers that the duty of humankind given by [[{{God}} Ill Ilah]] was enslaving the non-human species in retribution of the past of being devoured, because it was written in the [[Literature/TheBible "Holy Scriptures"]]. But in reality, it was that Ill Ilah wanted humans to be the ones who united the world. She later grows out of it [[spoiler:and Arba takes the place of the crazed fanatic who went mad after Solomon replaced Ill Ilah's place.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: Despite having had a good close relationship with Arba in the past, her jealousy over Arba's closeness to Solomon has made her see Arba as only a rival. Interestingly Sheba is aware of this trope being in play and becomes frustrated since she still loves Arba but her jealousy is clouding her judgement.
* TheHeart: When Arba tries to convince her to become Solomon's conscience, she declines instead opting to become a support pillar for all her friends, Arba included.
* HeartbrokenBadass
* HeartwarmingOrphan: She was apparently abandoned by her parents at the step of the church she was then raised in, when she was born. Though she isn't heartwarming at first, she sure grows up to be.
* HeelRealization: She becomes very ashamed of herself, when Ugo reminds her that the manticores were mindless beasts only because of her magic; and then finding out that it led directly to Momo's father's death.
* HerHeartWillGoOn: The Solomon she fell in love with has become the White Rukh, and all that Sheba got left of him was his empty shell of a body that can't recognize her anymore. Still, faithful to his conviction and concious of his sacrifice, she endures her grief to try to make some order between the magicians in order to make his dream of an equal world come true.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Sheba becomes the {{Protagonist}} during the Alma Torran flashback arc.
* HeroWorshipper: Became one to Solomon.
* TheHighQueen: Became Solomon's consort. [[spoiler:And actually she was the one that pretty much ruled over the magicians, since Solomon was uncapable of doing so because of being a shell of his former self.]]
* HopelessSuitor: She knows and recognises that she will never be as close and precious to Solomon as Arba is, and that he will probably always think of her as only a child he must take care of. [[OfficialCouple Eventually subverted.]]
* HornedHairdo: Two cute little horns.
* IAmAMonster: After realizing the full extent of the suffering that she had been causing by powering the Mind-altering towers, she asks why Solomon and co. would let such a horrible person live.
* ImaginaryLoveTriangle: Her jealousy towards Arba makes her see the other woman as her ultimate rival, but in reality the relationship between Solomon and Arba is familial.
* InsistentTerminology: She insists that others refer to Ill Ilah as "Father". She grow out of it alongside her fanatism.
* InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons: Her bolg, which can grow eight dragon heads for greater offensive power.
* LoveHurts: Her feelings for Solomon go beyond mere admiration. Unfortunately, he only treats her as a kid and she's no match for Solomon's bond with Arba, which is a source of great frustration and sadness for her. He does eventually come to reciprocate her feelings and they become a couple, [[spoiler:only to have her heart broken when Solomon's soul becomes the White Rukh]].
* MissingMom: She ends up dying before meeting her son, Aladdin.
* NakedOnArrival
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: The Queen of Sheba.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: [[spoiler:Even after she lost Solomon, Sheba decided to take his place as the one who would unite the world and create the utopia Solomon always dreamt of. She overworked herself to allow the other species to establish their cities and tried to mantain the now corrupted magicians under control, believing they would eventually understand and move forward. Unfortunately, the magicians saw it as Sheba forgetting about them and "falling under Solomon's control" and rebelled against her.]]
* ParentalAbandonment: She never knew her parents.
* PleaseDontLeaveMe: Begs Solomon to not leave her after [[spoiler:he becomes the White Rukh itself.]]
-->''You don't have to [[spoiler:become God]]...Just stay by my side...''
* PluckyGirl: No matter how bad things are getting for her or the others, this girl will believe that there's always a solution and give her all in order to achieve it.
* PosthumousCharacter: She was killed by Arba when the rebellion of Al-Thamen began, but we get to know Sheba very well through the flashback.
* PostKissCatatonia: She literally starts to melt after Solomon gives her a kiss on the forehead.
* PostStressOvereating: Starts to devour the whole table after eavesdropping on Solomon and Arba's bonding moment.
* PoweredByAForsakenChild: She alone powered a tower that mind-controlled any species that wasn't human, prior to the creation of Alma Torran. When LaResistance whisked her away, she was getting close to death.
* PrecociousCrush: Solomon is 5 years older than her and they first met when she was only 12 years old. Solomon decided to try to be a father figure for Sheba, but after a few years, she starts seeing him as something more. He doesn't take her feelings seriously at first, but he eventually acknowledges her and they enter in a serious relationship.
* PregnantBadass: She eventually becomes pregnant with Solomon's child, but that doesn't stop her from being ready to fight the final battles to end the war in Alma Torran. [[spoiler:She was still carrying her baby Aladdin while fighting Arba when Al-Thamen's rebellion started.]]
* RedHerring: Her staff makes you suspect Sheba might turn out to be Gyokuen, but it's eventually revealed that ''Arba'' is Gyokuen. She stole Sheba's staff after killing Sheba. The EmptyEyes she's seen with in the beginning of the Alma Torran flashback also makes you think she has a grudge against Solomon, but they're actually as the result of exhaustion and sadness.
* RelationshipUpgrade: After all her failing attempts at courtship, it was her undying faith in Solomon and in his truly altruistic cause what made Solomon start seeing her as a love interest.
* RescueIntroduction: Her first scene is being saved by Solomon and his group when she was about to die due of magic exhaustion. At first it was unwanted, though.
* RoseHairedSweetie: Her hair is pink and after her HeelRealization, she becomes more adorable and the 'child' of LaResistance. Bonus points for having a blue-haired love interest.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: With Solomon.
* SheIsAllGrownUp: Goes from 12 to 17 during the timeskip. It takes Solomon a while, but once she defends him from unfair accusations relating his father, Solomon finally realizes Sheba is not a child anymore and starts to see her as a woman and potential love interest.
* SorryThatImDying: Sheba died with only one regret: never being able to hug her son once, and she apologizes to him for it while she was dying.
* TheSpock: As Queen Sheba, [[spoiler:she was the only who believed in Solomon's actions and tried to enforce peace to honor his sacrifice, to the point of overworking herself. This led to a huge conflict with [[TheMcCoy Arba]], who refused to accept Solomon took Ill Ilah's place.]]
* StarCrossedLovers: With Solomon.
* TagalongKid: Of LaResistance after they save her. After becoming its third strongest magician, the title passed to Tess.
* TakeCareOfTheKids: Right before her death, she entrusts the child in her womb, Aladdin, to Ugo.
* TearsOfRemorse: She breaks down in tears, when she finally understands what a horrible person she was.
* TeenPregnancy: She got pregnant with [[spoiler:Aladdin]] when she was 17 years old, but only gave birth to him years after.
* TragicHero: [[spoiler:Lost the man she loved, her closest friends betrayed her, the woman she saw as a mother/sister figure killed her and she never even got the chance to meet her own child.]]
* {{Tsundere}}: She starts to earnestly proclaim that she'll became stronger in order to be a woman suitable for Solomon, to then just deny that she has any interest in him.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Solomon. [[spoiler:In the end, she was the only one who never doubted his decisions and faithfully followed his will to the end.]]
* UnknownRival: She saw Arba as her rival for Solomon's affections, but Arba never felt that way about Solomon and was the one who asked Sheba to marry him so that she could help him be happy.
* UnwantedRescue: Despite being on the verge of death, she resents that Solomon's team whisked her away from the tower. She was there then at the time because she wanted to be, and since she considered it her sacred duty.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Solomon fears she is becoming this, when she shows the same fanatical devotion to The Resistance's cause that she showed to that of the Magician Orthodox. She also has a problem with trying to do everything herself.
* WhyCantIHateYou: She becomes very angry at herself following the timeskip, because despite loving Arba as a sister/mother figure, she's still very jealous of her and Solomon's relationship.
* WideEyedIdealist: After Solomon's crusade makes her see that a unified world, where everyone could be equals, was possible. [[spoiler:PlayedForDrama after she lost Solomon and all that she had left to live was archieving peace on his behave.]]
* TheWomanWearingTheQueenlyMask: As Queen Sheba, [[spoiler:she gave her best to make Alma Torran the peaceful, equal world Solomon always dreamt of. She gave up her cheerful personality and struggled to help the other species establish their cities and maintain control over the magicians to the point of exhausting herself. In the end, she failed and was killed as part of the rebellion.]]
* YouAreNotAlone: When she understands that Solomon's determination in freeing the non-human species comes from believing himself as responsible for his father's actions, as his son. She then reminds him that he doesn't have to do it alone, and that he has his TrueCompanions with him. [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming He thanks her for that.]]
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her hair is pink.

A member of the LaResistance led by Solomon. She's his former servant who has known him since he was a kid.

->Voiced by: Creator/MikiIto (Japanese)
* AbsoluteCleavage
* AdaptationDyeJob: Brown hair in the manga, black hair in the anime.
* ArtificialHuman: She says she comes from a line of magicians that were created to serve the council of elders. Sheba mentioned that Arba said she was created by Elder David long ago.
* AxCrazy
* BigBad
* BitchInSheepsClothing: She acts as the sweet and kind TeamMom, but later chapters reveal she isn't as nice as she makes herself look. [[spoiler:She's Gyokuen after all.]]
* BraidsOfAction: She has two long braids.
* CainAndAbel: She ends up being the Cain to Solomon's Abel.
* CloseCallHaircut: One of her braids gets cut off during her battle with [[spoiler:Sheba. This, coupled with her stealing Sheba's staff and crown, gives her the look of the traitor Magi from Gyokuen's flashback.]]
* CoolBigSis:
** According to Ithnan, Arba was kind of like a surrogate sister to Sheba after she officially joined the resistance. They started to grow apart when Sheba fell in love with Solomon and became jealous of Arba's closer relationship with him.
** She could be considered a literal example towards Solomon, as they kinda share the same "father".
* CrocodileTears: Manages to gain Ugo's sympathy with fake tears after she and Sheba got into an argument. [[spoiler:Another clue to her being Gyokuen.]]
* CuteAndPsycho: She's the kind and lovely TeamMom, but from the moment she calmly kills [[spoiler:a fake David]] it's hinted she isn't as mentally stable as she makes herself look. [[spoiler:And then she becomes an full-on AxCrazy PsychoSupporter...]]
* DaddyIssues: Sheba assumes that David is as much Arba's father as he is Solomon's, and so theorizes that [[{{Understatement}} she might have some issues with that.]]
* DarkActionGirl: She is the one who taught Solomon how to fight and is the second strongest member of LaResistance. She can also be rather brutal and ruthless, as seen in Chapter 228.
* DissonantSerenity: Kills, [[spoiler:what turns out to be a fake David,]] with the same warm motherly smile she always has and gently lays him on the floor while telling him goodbye. Did we mention, her way of killing him was stabbing him through the mouth and cutting the top of his head off?
* DyingDeclarationOfHate: [[spoiler:Spends her final moments in Alma Torran declaring that she hates Solomon and that she will destroy everything he created, even if all that remains of her is her consciousness.]]
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Becomes this after [[spoiler:falling into depravity]].
* [[EvilUncle Evil Aunt]]: To Aladdin.
* EvilMatriarch: To Solomon and Sheba. After starting her rebellion, she destroys the utopia Solomon always dreamt of and blames Solomon for everything and kills Sheba to "free" her of the "fake god's" control.
* FacialMarkings: She has a ThirdEye on her forehead, like the rest of Alma Torran's human magicians. [[spoiler:When she destroys Alma Torran in rebellion, it then changes to being the three black dots that all of Al-Thamen have.]]
* FaceHeelTurn
* FallenHero: None of them fell harder than Arba, who was once one of Solomon's most beloved followers and trusted friends. After he took Il Ilah's place, Arba grew to hate Solomon and thus started a rebellion. What's more, she's been revealed as the monstrous, selfish and cruel Ren Gyokuen.
* FourIsDeath: Her name means "four" in Arabic.
* TheFundamentalist: Arba is fanatically dedicated to Il Ilah.
%%* GenericDoomsdayVillain
* HairDecorations: She and Solomon wear a moon-shaped accessory on their foreheads.
* HearingVoices: [[spoiler:Claims that she spent her entire life guided by the voice of Ill Ilah.]]
* IntergenerationalFriendship: Since she is the oldest, she has this going with all the members of the rebellion; but as she clearly has a stronger and closer bond with Solomon, they have a LikeBrotherAndSister kind of relationship.
%%* KnightTemplar
* KungFuWizard: She, like Myers, likes to train her body even when other considered it unnecessary because they're magicians. She could be the original KungFuWizard.
* MasterSwordsman: Chapter 248 revealed that she was the strongest swordman in all Alma Toran, and even teached Solomon melee combat.
* TheMcCoy: [[spoiler:As one of Solomon's three Magi. In contrast to the loyal [[TheSpock Queen Sheba]] and the conflicted [[TheKirk Ugo]], Arba's fanatic obsession with Ill Ilah made it impossible for her accept what Solomon did and formed Al-Thamen in order to destroy his "fake world".]]
* MistakenForRomance: She and Solomon at first seem to be a thing and Sheba even thought they were meant to be together and didn't stand a chance against Arba. However, it's later made clear that Arba's relationship with Solomon is more sibling-like; and Arba is in fact the one who tells Sheba to marry Solomon, not seeming to have any problem with it.
* MoralityChain: Solomon wants her to keep him from [[TheConscience starting to think of himself more than he is]]. Why her? Because, she knows him since he was a kid, and who better to remind him that he's no god but a man than [[NoHeroToHisValet his valet]]? Arba herself, struggles with her formality when around him.
* NotInThisForYourRevolution: [[spoiler:It's implied she served in Solomon's resistance not actually for the sake of his cause, but just so that she could get the chance to kill Elder David herself. She later claims to Solomon that she never cared about creating an equal world and unlike him who came to love every single being equally, she was only was doing what Ill Ilah told her to do.]]
* NotSoAboveItAll
* NotSoStoic: When she acknowledges Sheba's jealousy towards her she does so in a flat matter of fact way, but when Sheba tells her she herself dislikes feeling that way and still loves Arba, Arba's eyes fill with tears, proving it really did bother her that Sheba was resenting her.
* OffingTheOffspring: It's Arba who cuts down Sheba, her surrogate daughter, and takes her stave, sealing Arba's final step into becoming the monstrous Gyokuen.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Despite looking no older than twenty, she's the eldest of the resistance's main group. She's later revealed to be about 100 years old.
* TheOnlyOneITrust: While she is not the ''only'' person he trusts, Solomon admits that she is the one who he trusts most in this world. [[spoiler:Which makes her eventual betrayal even more ironic.]]
* ParentalSubstitute: Sheba considers her the closest thing she ever had to a mother, and it's implied that she also was a surrogate mother to Solomon. [[spoiler:It's tragic that her relationship with both of them ended up on such bad terms.]]
* PerpetualSmiler
* PsychoticSmirk
* PsychoSupporter: She is this for Ill Ilah; to the point where she is prepared to destroy the world and everything else which Solomon and she had fought to build, just so she that can restore Il Ilah to its former glory and punish Solomon for his supposed "arrogance."
* RapunzelHair: Even braided, her hair reaches her ankles.
* RebelliousRebel: [[spoiler:She was one of Solomon's first allies in his revolt against the Magician Orthodox, but she later led a rebellion against him in turn, and destroyed everything that they had fought together to build.]]
* SanitySlippage: After Solomon replaces Ill Ilah, Arba effectively loses her sanity.
* SarcasticDevotee: Her role as Solomon's support is going around calling out his flaws and failures to keep him humble.
* SatanicArchetype: She was a former ally, trusted friend and [[TheParagonAlwaysRebels paragon]] of {{God}} ([[MessianicArchetype Solomon)]] who led a rebellion within {{Heaven}} ([[{{Utopia}} Alma Torran)]] along with other {{Fallen Angel}}s ([[RebelliousRebel Al-Thamen)]], which subsequently led to its total destruction. Not to mention that since Asian symbolism assigns light to masculinity (again Solomon), and darkness to femininity (namely Arba); then she fits this trope very well indeed.
* ShipperOnDeck: She wants Sheba to marry Solomon, so that she and Sheba can then be pillars of support for Solomon together.
* StatuesqueStunner: She's as tall as Wahid, and still a beauty.
%%* StrawNihilist
* SuperMode: Uses strength/power magic.
* TeamMom: Of LaResistance. It helps that she's the ''eldest'' of the group.
* TearsOfJoy:
** She sheds these when Sheba proved her loyalty to Solomon being strong enough to be his support, and he accepted that Sheba is already a young woman, meaning that he's considering her feelings and is now opening his mind to the idea of being loved.
** Again, when [[spoiler:she meets her "Father" Ill Ilah. [[{{ForeShadowing}} Just as Ren Gyokuen did when Ill Ilah was summoned...]]]]
* ThisIsUnforgivable: [[spoiler:She considers Solomon replacing Ill Ilah to be the ultimate sin and betrays him in order to destroy his "fake world".]]
* TokenEvilTeammate: Feels this is her role to play, so she insults Solomon to keep him humble, and when necessary, acts as his hammer when obstacles prove too difficult. When she tries to convince Sheba to be his [[TheConscience conscience]], she paints herself as a [[GoodAngelBadAngel demon to Sheba's angel.]] She certainly proves she's capable of the role in Chapter 228. [[spoiler:This is set in stone when she betrays Solomon and causes the destruction of the world, all because Solomon "killing" Ill Ilah was the only thing she would never forgive.]]
* UndyingLoyalty: She believes her duty is to keep Solomon humble, even if he should one day kill her for it. [[spoiler:However, her fanaticism towards Ill Ilah later proves to be greater.]]
* WalkingSpoiler
* WeUsedToBeFriends: With Solomon, Sheba and Ugo.
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:Calls Solomon out when he decides to take over Ill Ilah's power and share the Rukh with every single species in the world, claiming how it's no different from what his father David had done.]]

* ActionDad: After becoming a father to Tess, Wahid doesn't hesitate to put himself on the front lines.

* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: It's very difficult not to pity Wahid, whose initial role as a member of Al-Thamen and the Medium for Ill Ilah responsible for destroying nearly all life in Alma Torran, is precipitated by the death of his son Tess. The fact that Wahid dies saving the life of the woman he loves, believing there's a chance he can see his son again is utterly heartrending.

One of the four current Magi, along with Scheherazade, Judar, and Aladdin. A wanderer who does as he pleases, currently living in the Great Rift on the way to the Dark Continent. Raised the first dungeon, Baal, 14 years before the start of the series, though he has never chosen a King Candidate.

->Voiced by: Creator/AkiraIshida (Japanese), Max Mittelman (English)
* AdaptationDyeJob: The ''Adventure of Sinbad'' anime makes his silvery hair a much darker blond.
* BornAgainImmortality: Yunan has already lived nine lives, in only his current body. Every time he dies, his Rukh is taken to the Sacred Palace and he revives in a body, like Scheherazade did with Titus.
* BraidsOfAction: Like the other Magi.
* TheChooserOfTheOne: He was the one who encouraged Sinbad to go into Baal.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: He's very laid-back, teases Sinbad about his age ForTheLulz and is a bit of a {{Manchild}}, but he's a very powerful Magi and knowledgeable magician, and his Bolg alone can keep ''[[WorldsStrongestMan Sinbad]]'' away when he wants a private talk with Aladdin.
* DayHurtsDarkAdjustedEyes: He prefers dark places. In ''Adventure of Sinbad'', Sinbad first met him after finding him ''inside a barrel''; he lives in the Great Rift between the Dark Continent and he comments that Sindra's sunlight is too strong for him.
* DudeLooksLikeALady
* FlyingBroomstick: He uses his MagicStaff as one.
* TheForceIsStrongWithThisOne: When Sinbad is born, Yunan feels his presence changing the world and wonders what he will become.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Always has numerous birds flying around him.
* GoodIsNotSoft: He admits to Aladdin that, while he's at his side, he himself is not entirely a good person.
* {{Herald}}: Along with actually raising the first dungeon, Yunan was the one who showed Sinbad the path he could take to change the world.
* HermitGuru
* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Sinbad and Morgiana. [[spoiler: Though his relationship with the former seems to be currently strained.]]
* KidWithTheLeash: He seems to be the only one that can keep Sinbad in line and talk back to him.
* LittleStowaway: While not exactly "little" ([[ManChild though depending on how you see him]]); Yunan first encountered Sinbad when hiding inside a barrel within a FruitCart. It seems to be a RunningGag with individual Magi, considering how Aladdin met Alibaba in a near-identical way.
* {{Manchild}}: He seems to be a little childish and [[OcularGushers cries very easily]]. He also can get bullied by ''children''.
* TheMentor: He trains Morgiana in how to best use her low amount of Magoi so that she can use her household vessel without fear of death.
* MundaneUtility: He uses magic to 'play' with the atoms in order to create...a wooden house with everything included and food. The dream of every traveler.
* MysteriousBacker: He's also supported by [[spoiler: Ugo (and by extension, Solomon),]] and seems to know much more than Aladdin about what's going on in this world, but he doesn't help much aside from showing the path of what to do to others.
* MysticalWhiteHair: His hair is platinum blonde, almost white, befitting his status as a powerful Magi.
* OccultBlueEyes
* OlderThanHeLooks: Along with Scheherazade.
* PerpetualSmiler: A laid-back, friendly and calming smile. That actually hides a lot of secrets.
* RapunzelHair: Like the rest of the Magi.
* RobeAndWizardHat
* ShroudedInMyth
* SuperSenses: To put an example, he knows that [[spoiler:Sinbad]] is spying on him with a bird-looking magical tool and can hear his voice ''from the throne hall to the royal library''.
* TearsOfFear: When scared, [[TenderTears he cries]].
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: [[spoiler: It's revealed that, despite showing Sinbad the path to change the world and giving him the motivation to enter and conquer Baal, Yunan and Sinbad don't trust each other]].
* ThresholdGuardian: To Morgiana. She meets him on her way to the Dark Continent and he tells her that she can't go home again if she continues on, because war is coming.
* WalkingTheEarth: Wanders from place to place making dungeons randomly appear.
